Mika Aikawa is one of the three main antagonists (alongside Xochal Reklaw and King Stormlance) of Crystallic’s Starbound Trilogy. She serves as the main antagonist of Starbound: The Black Nebula, and a posthumous antagonist in both Starbound: Rise of the Stargazers and Starbound: The Glitch Empire, appearing in a flashback in the latter. She is a popular model in the Solunar Nexus star system, but she is secretly the head of the Floran Extermination Order, a racist organisation dedicated to wiping out the floran race. At the end of the story, it is revealed she wants to destroy the entire star system, as she sees it as "too dangerous" due to its diversity in races, and that the only way to help bring "peace to the universe" is to destroy it all. Not only that, but she also had intentions of wiping out all races and planets she saw as "uncivilised". She is also Katsu Umino's childhood bully.

Personality
Mika is an arrogant, self absorbed, narcissistic hylotl. She thinks of herself as the heroine of the story, constantly denying that her actions are wrong, believing that she's always in the right. She thinks that her race is the superior race to any others, thinking all other races to be "uncultured" or "uncivilised". She is especially distasteful of florans, who she believes to be mindless savages that need to be wiped out to keep peace and order.
She is pretty calm and sophisticated most of the time, despite her beliefs. But she is also cold and ruthless, able to intimidate and control someone with her attitude. She will not hesitate to do what she thinks is right, even going as far as to drown a floran child, and killing an agent for refusing to do so. She does genuinely love her father, and took over the FEO after his death, promising to him on his deathbed that she would get rid of the florans.
However, despite her unpleasant calm demeanour, she has a crazy side to her, as shown when her weapons fuel supply is destroyed. She goes absolutely livid at the Black Nebula crew, unleashing tons of rage and even trying to blow up her own base just to kill them all out of sheer spite. She also has a sadistic side to her, as she is seen enjoying the sight of a floran village burning down.
Villainous Acts
- She bullied Katsu for years due to his fascination for other cultures, even telling him to commit suicide. Her bullying caused him to suffer from anxiety, constantly making him worry about what others thought of him, and even giving him suicidal thoughts. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
- She took over the Floran Extermination order after her father died.
- When she was arguing with Ethyl, Katsu and Tori in public, she stabbed herself in the thigh to frame the three for assault, and got them chased by angry mobs.
- When she was exposed by Ethyl for lying, she faked an apology to the public to make herself look good.
- She organised the theft of countless erchius fuel station supplies, all to fuel her superweapons.
- She broke Desert Tumbler, a murderous outlaw who has killed hundreds of people, out of jail so he could help her with murders.
- She committed genocide on several floran villages, burning them to the ground with the florans still there, having her agents kill any living florans. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
- She stabbed a greenfinger onscreen when he tried reasoning with her.
- When an agent pointed out a floran child, she ordered the agent to kill the child. When the agent refused, she decapitated the agent, and drowned the child in a well herself. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
- She had Desert capture Tori Spearleif.
- She told Tori about the floran and hylotl war, which caused her to feel guilty for the destruction in the past.
- She tied Tori up to a steak, and told Katsu to either turn himself into her, or she would burn Tori and her village alive. However, she secretly planned to burn Tori alive anyway. After a while, Robin showed up, so she got annoyed and began to burn Tori alive anyway, even though Katsu was obviously coming, which almost killed Tori. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
- She had everyone in Tori's village tied up in their homes, including the Greenfinger, and when The Black Nebula showed up, she lit the entire village on fire, which would have killed all the florans had they not been saved beforehand.
- In a last resort, she attempts to blow up the ENTIRE Solunar Nexus star system, which translates into trying to destroy 5 planets, all because she saw them as "uncivilised", and that the only way to "bring peace" was to destroy them, even though it is her home star system. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
- When some of her agents abandon her, she vaporises them with her laser.
- After her superweapon is deactivated, she declares she has backups, and then tries to kill the Black Nebula to prevent them from interfearing again.
- When she was defeated by Ethyl, she knew he would shoot her, so she activated a self destruct button, which blew up her entire base, all in an attempt to kill the Black Nebula crew out of sheer spite in an "I'm taking you with me!" move. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
