Why Sonic is a character made by Shwader. He serves as the antagonist of his namesake creepypasta, which was later made into a playable ROM hack coming soon...
Biography[]

The Creepypasta[]
The game begins with the player spawning in Star Light zone, taking control of Sonic. Upon entering the level, an eyeless Boo known as the Blind Boo will be present in the corner of the screen blocking a pipe, leaving the player to pick up a key and continue their way. When returning to the map, a whirlpool will appear next to Eggman's head, causing his eyes to bleed, along with the text at the top reading "OH GOD NO". When sonic goes to the Scape brain zone, he seems to be shocked.
After the player enters the castle, they end up in a narrow hallway filled with Blind Boos, as well as some demented Big Boos.
A Bomber Bill with bleeding eyes will come around and kill sonic, showing the text "YOU'RE A MANIAC" written in blood on the background. The only way to progress is with a Super Star, which the player does by using a Game Genie throughout the level. Progressing through the level will introduce Sonic to giant Boos, along with another text, this time reading "WHY DO YOU TREAT LIKE THIS?". After a while, the player will enter an underwater section, and come across a bunch of Thwomps covered in blood and hammering down at the ground at random. Progressing through the level leads the player to a room with spikes on the top and bottom of the room, with dead clones of Sonic hanging from the spikes. The Sonic clones will start to float towards the player and attempt to kill them.
After that, the player meets two things: A door and ring with a creepy face. In the trollpasta, the player did NOT touch the mushroom.
Once the player enters the boss door, they will be placed on a bridge over lava. Tails will appear, and reveal his true colors to Sonic, revealing that he was the one that wrote all the messages. Tails will then proceed to jump on until he stops moving and makes a victory pose, confident that he won. In an act of desperation, Sonic gets up and kicks his brother off the bridge. He watches in horror as Tails screams in terror as he burns alive in the lava, letting out his final words "OH GOD NO". Sonic, despite his betrayal, sits down and weeps over his brother's fate.
After the game ends, the player is then booted out of the level, now inaccessible. Most the game remains unchanged, but the end screen now shows a disappointed Sonic looking at an immolated Tails, with a crying Peach looking on in between them.
The executable file[]
The file plays out the same way as the trollpasta, but with notable differences:
- After the player enters the castle, a message will appear stating "You are invincible now!"
- The Big Boos chase Sonic.
- The Thwomps act like normal Thwomps.
- There is a block that allows Sonic to get a Super Mushroom.
- The Drowned Sonics do nothing at all.
- The boss door is now a pipe.
- If the player gets the Creepy Mushroom, the player gets jumpscared and goes back to the place they were in before.
- Instead of booting out of the level, the player is taken to the end screen and gets jumpscared.
The ROM Hack[]
When the player gets the Creepy Ring, the player dies instead and gets a message with red blood text saying "YOUR NEXT". The player will then be sent to the world map, now turned white and red.
Tails appears in the video game variation of the creepypasta story, once again taking the role of the main antagonist. This time, the player will have to fight Tails in a boss battle. Tails will be able to jump on Sonic and have fireballs rain from above. After his health meter has been drained, Sonic achieves the cape ability and knocks Tails off the bridge, breaking it and sending him into the lava before being taken to the end screen.
Notable differences include the Super Star's power suddenly activating upon running into the Bleeding Bill, the Drowned Sonics being unable to affect Sonic, and the Bill Blasters working still.
Personality[]
Because of his little screentime, Luigi's full personality is mostly unknown. From what we've seen from him, he appears to be a sadistic, arrogant and manipulative traitor, as he's constantly been fooling and tricking Sonic into believing he's on his side.

In the creepypasta[]
- It is not specified what abilities he has, but we can assume that they are the same as those of Sonic in the game.
In the ROM hack[]
- Skilled Movement: Much like his brother, Tails has the ability to perform skilled acrobatics.
- Fire Powers: In the ROM hack, Tails has the ability to shoot fireballs, as well as call down a rain of fire from above as one of his attacks.
Weaknesses[]
- Mortality: Despite all his strengths, Tails is as mortal as his brother. In both the creepypasta and the ROM hack, Tails dies from spin dash attack.
Differences between the Versions[]
The ROM hack based on the story became incredibly popular; far surpassing the audience of the original creepypasta. However, it should be made clear that the ROM hack is not the original version of I HATE YOU. A few notable differences include:
- In the original story, Sonic accidentally kills Tails after throwing him into the lava and cries about it, while in the ROM hack, Sonic intentionally kills Tails and looks away without remorse, possibly out of anger.
- In the original creepypasta, he is simply dead and lacks his nose, but said nose is still present in the ROM hack.
- In the ROM, Tails's battle was presented as a playable boss fight, compared to the cutscene-esque sequence it was in the original creepypasta.
