Martin Lee, later also known by his supervillain identity Mister Negative, is a major antagonist of the Marvel Fanfilm Universe, and also the secondary antagonist of it's Spiderman saga. He acts as one of the two main antagonists (alongside Carnage) of the 2020 Marvel fanfilm/presentation Spiderman: Rise of The Darkness and the secondary antagonist in the crossover fanfilm DC & Marvel: Fiction is Justice. He is a former Oscorp engineer and worker who became an enforcer of the fallen crime lord Wilson Fisk. After being mistreated by the other gangsters for several years, he became ambitious and ruthless as he eventually found a box which would turn him into a supervillain made of pure chaotic energy.
However, after finding himself in the real human world and plotting with other supervillains to take over, he confesses the truth behind his villainy and he accepts Psylocke's offer of redemption.
He is portrayed by Rafe Spall, who also played Eli Mills in Jurassic Word: Fallen Kingdom.
History[]
Martin Lee was once a member of Oscorp under the supervision of his bosses Norman Osborn (who later became The Green Goblin) and Wilson Fisk. That was until Wilson became a crime lord and Martin was forced to stay on his good side and assist him in killing 200 mutants. Martin became one of Wilson's trusted advisors and mercenaries. However, one day he eventually got the order from his boss to kill Spiderman, despite being his fan. He unwillingly went to search for Peter Parker/The Spiderman, but he eventually found a box which fell from the roof of the abandoned building. He took the box and the powers hidden inside turned him into an energy being called Mister Negative. This transformation made him much more wrathful and ambitious than he truly was, and he teamed up with the professional criminals Carl Lobo and Daken. However, under the Kingpin's orders, Freddie Carson assassinated both Carl and Daken, as he was then tasked with hunting Negative down. Mister Negative was eventually confronted by Carson, however Peter Maximoff aka Quicksliver (the film's deuteragonist) shot Carson in order to protect Negative, who ran out of the scene. Mister Negative is eventually caught by Fisk, whom intends to kill him, but looses to Negative's sword of fire and chaotic energy. Negative then made an alliance with Carnage as the two plotted to wreak havoc in the city, as Negative shall kidnap Mary Jane.
Negative then caught Mary Jane on the street as she was hanging out with Parker. Peter asked him to cool down, but he took MJ to the top of a tower inside the city and he threw her off the belcony, as Peter caught her on time and saved her life. Spiderman then fought Negative to the death. Mister Negative almost killed Spiderman with his sword of energy and fire, but MJ then shot Mister Negative in order to save her current and true boyfriend.
DC & Marvel: Fiction is Justice[]
Mister Negative returns to life with a band of revived villains, inside the real world of humans.
He and the other villains at first don't understand the situation, but they quickly decide that they should form an alliance against the humans. In the alliance, Negative assumes the role of the second in command leader. He is ordered by Toad to capture Ava Cross with the support of The Green Goblin. He succeeds doing so, but he quickly enters a fight against Jason, who comes to rescue her.
Mister Negative then goes off to New York with The Green Goblin's backup and assistance. The two of them terrorize a news reporter and Negative speaks on the news, thus he warns everyone that the villains shall win.
The Iron Man comes to surrender, however, it was only to distract Negative so Batman could steal his sword. Negative fought against Spiderman, Iron Man and Batman with the support of The Goblin. However, he eventually got tired of fighting the heroes and he confessed his rough past, and revealed that all he wanted was to find some friends. Psylocke wanted to be his friend but she asked him to redeem himself and choose the right path in return. Since that day, Negative and Psylocke were good friends and they planned to meet in a bar during the following night.
Personality[]
He is rather a tragic and petty criminal who was mistreated by his superiors then a fully ambitious leader. However, as he sought revenge, he became something far worse then a common criminal. He used his energy to spread fear, chaos and corruption wherever he went, and he enjoyed hurting others to an extent. His ultimate goal near the end was to be seen as a god by those who mistreated him.
