| “ | See my dear? I was once a mutant just like every other mutant in that stupid town of theirs. I had the ability to manipulate energy from the ground and use it. One day.. I have realized that this power gives me life. If I stay above others and become to them like a god.. They will not destroy me just like Stryker has destroyed many other mutants.. One after the other. Of course.. I do not care if other mutants die. I care about my own future. | „ |
| ~ Harvey explaining his plans to Galacta and Reed Samuels |
Harvey Elder, also known as The Mole Man, is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Arnim Zola) of the 2022 Marvel based fanfilm Invisible.
He is the CEO of a massive tech company called Elder Corperations, and in secret he uses his place of power in order to kill many innocents, experiment on them and turn them into mindless cyborg soldiers. He is also the creator turned nemesis of Zola and he is Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman's archenemy.
He is portrayed by John Malkovich.
History[]
Harvey Elder has always been ambitious and his primary desire was to climb ontop of humanity and become a demigod just like Andrea and Andreas Von Strucker. He was eventually hired to become a mercenary of The Order of Fenris, and he used this position also for power and control over a new world. He was later promoted as the head of Elder Corperations, and his task was to nuke the entire world by planting massive nuclear bombs all over the world. Once he completes his mission, The Order of Fenris' plans to recreate the universe shall succeed.
He tried to steal some meteorite inside a museum, as he knew that Galacta is hiding inside that meteorite via magic and only with her powers being drained he could activate all of his bombs. However, before he could drain her power and harm her, The Invisible Woman (her real name is Sandy Richardson) came and rescued Galacta from his evil plans on her.
After the escape of both Galacta and Sandy, Elder unmasked himself inside his base of operations. He told his enforcer Franklin Hall (aka Gravitron)that he can take some rest, since there is lots of pressure on his corrupt company of making evil. After Franklin went, Elder was visited by the vice president. The two of them discussed issues and Harvey showed his lab to the vice, thus showing him how he tortures people and turns them into mindless cyborgs and soldiers. He then shows Arnim and explains that he tortured him lots and lots of time, thus killing and reviving him again and again.
The vice president threatens to report his business, but Arnim hacks into the facility's system and he comes out of the shadows in his robotic form, thus killing the vice president and scaring Elder off.
Harvey Elder later sends Gravitron to capture Galacta and her allies for him. After he succeeds in doing so, Harvey explains that his ultimate goal ws to become above all humans and be a demigod just like his superiors from The Fenris Order.
However, the protagonists escape from him once again, and he runs into the street where he is stopped by Sandy while she was invisible and she also killed two of his Moloid soldiers, while they did not notice anything. He confronts Sandy and remarks that he has more business to finish. The two start fighting and eventually The Mole Man thinks he has the upper hand until Reed intervenes and shoots him, before coercing him into telling them how to stop Zola and the bombs. Zola then came to Elder and killed him due to his ruthless behaviour towards him and the other lab rats.
Personality[]
Elder is a sadistic, ultimately ruthless and deceiving boss who uses his technology and knowledge only for terrible purposes.
He is very intelligent, wise and yet he still chooses the bad path over goodness. He is very ambitious and he sees himself above all humans. He enjoys seeing humans suffering and tortures them for no reason besides his own satisfaction. He was ready to nuke the world for The Order of Fenris, although he just uses them for his own plans rather than being loyal to them completely.
Trivia[]
- He is the ''first'' live-action version of Mole Man in history.
