See? Out there.. there is a Multiverse which I want to conquer. I mastered every single event in order to do so. Humans.. are pawns for my chess game. They destroy nature.. And they are turning me into their god.. forgetting who was the original One Above All and this sh*t. I am god. I am.. science and I will give you everything you wanted.. if you give me everything I wanted.
~ Molecule Man pretending to bargain with Tony Stark
Isn’t fair indeed. Science was always fair! Now.. it is time to change the compounds.. and make the world look as I wanted it to look! Starting this process by simply.. Killing.. YOU.
~ Molecule Man before torturing and then killing the Iron Man brutally

Owen Reece, also known as The Molecule Man, is one of the main antagonists of the Marvel Fanfilm Universe. He appears as the main antagonist of the Multiverse arc, and an unseen overarching antagonist in the previous content.

He is the master and current "god" of molecules and science, whom manipulates biology and massive powers for his own ends. He is also The Avenger's final arch-nemesis and their strongest foe ever. His goals are to conquer The Multiverse for further purposes.

He is portrayed by Richard Gere.

Roles[]

He is the main antagonist of the 2023 fanfilm Iron Man: Project Love, and he will return in the Marvel World saga, which takes place before his first appearance, the overarching antagonist of Guardians of The Galaxy, and the series Osborn, then he appears as one of the three overarching antagonists (alongside The Chameleon and Knull) of Spiderman: The Shocking Truth, one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside The One Bellow All) of Amazing Grace, and then he shall appear in some capacity in the fanfilms; Marvel Heroes: Enter the Multiverse, Psylocke: The Magnetic Tyrant, and The Last Avenger.

Role in the fanfilms[]

Past[]

In the past, Owen Reece was a man who was very bent on learning science. During his childhood, Owen would often fail in science tests. Developing the ambition to change things, he discovered a way to manipulate genes and anatomy itself. Using these powers and methods, he became the most powerful tyrant in the existence. His goals were to conquer the multiverse and beyond whatever is reachable. One day, he forced Marsha Von Turra to become his right-hand henchwoman, and he formed the faction of The Black Swans. He also became the shadow benefactor and overarching leader of A.I.M, and a pragmatic ally of M.O.D.O.K, whom he once transformed into a cyborg by force after George Tarleton didn't stop testing Reece and used him in the Oscorp laboratry.

Marvel World saga (parts 2-5)[]

He will appear in some chapters, possibly as an overarching antagonist of some sorts.

Iron Man: Project Love[]

He sent his Swans with Marsha to capture Tony Stark/The Iron Man. After they brought him to his spacecraft called The Entity, The Molecule Man then appeared infront of Tony. The two spoke, and the Molecule Man explained that he is the god of science and anatomy, forming and controlling every molecule he desires to use at the same moment. He tries to bargain with Iron Man and asks him to bring him the formula of love in return for his wife back. He also destroys both Earth and Sun, explaining that if Iron Man succeeds, he shall bring it back. However, after he disappears and the guards are ordered by Marsha to give her and Tony some privacy, Marsha explains to Iron Man that she wants to aid him on his voyage since Molecule Man won't keep his word. Tony asks how he could trust her. She tells about her backstory as an orphan and the two then jump out of The Entity which transports alongside them to the realm of Krakoa. However, two guards try to seize them, and after failing to do so, they inform the Molecule Man about their treachery.

Molecule Man oversees M.O.D.O.K's war against Krakoa, and the place is destroyed by A.I.M due to his plans. When Tony and Marsha kiss, they do not know that M.O.D.O.K secretly uses his power vacum to absorb their love and add it to the formula, before transferring everything to The Molecule Man.

Tony appears as he was supposed to on Earth 15, ready to finally meet and defeat the tyrannical "god" of science. Molecule Man then appears again as a lightning bolt creates him, and he sarcastically explains that lightning is made of electric atoms, pointing out that Tony is an idiot. Tony remarks that he would keep his side if he would trust him more that he keeps his side. However, the Molecule Man first claims that he's evil inside and outside, and then he reveals to the Iron Man that he had M.O.D.O.K transferring to him his love with Marsha. Afterwards, he uses laser and then he controls Iron Man's genes and organs to paralyse and torture him. He then says that it's time to finish the process, and he shoots laser from the sky at Tony, killing him.

He then destroys a large part of the Multiverse with his laser powers.

Guardians of The Galaxy[]

He appears near the end of the fanfilm, as he destroys New York entirely for some agenda he has against Earth and it's people. However, the Guardians of The Galaxy find a molecule which could stop him somehow, after they've defeated Thane, the son of Thanos.

Spiderman: The Shocking Truth[]

Personality[]

I am evil. Inside.. and outside. I didn’t need the formula cause I’ve already found it. It was inside you.. and your girlfriend. While you weren’t looking.. M.O.D.O.K used his power vacuum to absorb it.
~ Molecule Man sadistically telling the Iron Man about his evilness and his success in taking love

The Molecule Man, claiming that he's the god of science planning to usurp the One Above All who created humanity and everything else, is a ruthless and evil entity whom only cares about his own needs and manipulates everything else if needed, before he destroys or reshapes entire universes within several minutes.

He seems to genuinely have feelings, claiming that he wants to feel love again like a human being, and he probably does feel tragic feelings, given that he was a failure at his science tests. He also seems to be tragic even more about being subjected and often tested by the cruel scientist which he turned into M.O.D.O.K later.

He seems to be ambitious and power hungry. Once he got ultimate power, he intends to use them and become the ruler of everything he knows about. Knowladge infact seems to be his primary weapon for this reason, as hiding things from him seems to be his only weakness so far.

Powers and Abilities[]

The Molecule Man is one of the strongest Marvel villains to ever exist (if not the strongest), overtaking the body count and abilities of Andrea Von Strucker or Galactus. He has these following abilities..

Scientific Omnipotency - The Molecule Man can use each and every cell and organ for his own needs as long as he wishes to do so. He is an actual god of science despite not being worshiped, planning to conquer the entire existence. His science is based on knowledge, meaning that the few things he doesn't know are his only weakness.

Immortality - The scientific abilities turned him into an immortal deity of science, not able to live an extended life. It is currently unknown if he can still die in some way, but he is totally immortal and to kill him shall be very hard indeed.

Telekinetic Abilities - The Molecule Man is able to generate extremely massively powerful beams of laser, able to destroy a few planets in one strike.

Magic - Through science, the Molecule Man can generate magic and turn something into something else or create new objects or powers.

Trivia[]

  • He is confirmed to be the final and foremost villain of the entire MFU. However, the creator says that for now, it's unknown if there will be prequels or sequels after his possible demise in this arc's end.
  • The Molecule Man is based on The MCP in Tron. His soldiers are directly based on the Tron soldiers from the bad side, and both Molecule Man and the MCP have great intelligence, massive omnipotent powers and science under their complete control. They also both have right-hands who are nothing more than their pawns (only difference is that Marsha is redeemed while Sark isn't.
  • He is the first live-action version of the Molecule Man, and the second version who is not a comic book character.
