Mom Piranha is a colossal Piranha Plant who has been terrorising the Spitfire Go-Kart race track for some years killing and eating people unlucky enough to be caught by it. After most races (not all), the ground would shake and Mom Piranha would proceed to rise out of the ground and spawn some Piranha Plant Minions and strangle and eat anyone who fails to escape quickly enough. The Mom Piranha is the guardian of the third Cobalt Star Shard (which it swallowed on the day it landed there after being split up by Jajunga's Goons) and the game's fourth boss.
History[]
The RPG Gamer and his friends got word that there was a Cobalt Star Shard in the Spitfire Go-Kart place and headed there. After winning the race (1st - 8th) The RPG Gamer and his friends went to question Dennis (one of the competitors who was pretty weird as he collected "Celebrity Socks") about the Cobalt Star Shard again but at that moment, the ground started shaking and Mom Piranha then burst out of the ground angrily. Everyone present ran out of the room and The RPG Gamer and his friends then went onto the racetrack and engaged it in battle. Mom Piranha used it's Piranha Plant minions to aid it in battle. After some time, The RPG Gamer and his friends beat Mom Piranha and it exploded releasing the third Cobalt Star Shard. The RPG Gamer and his squad then left the Spitfire Go-Kart course.
Differences from Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga Mom Piranha[]
This Mom Piranha is slightly different to the one found in Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, below is a list of differences.
- This Mom Piranha talks unlike the one from Superstar Saga (however it isn't in English but there are accurate translations).
- The Mom Piranha from M&LSS is fought on the runway of an Airport (Beanbean Airport) while this Mom Piranha is fought on a Go-Kart race track (Spitfire Go-Karts)
- What's more is one is outdoors while the other is indoors.
- The purpose to killing both Mom Piranhas is different Mario and Luigi killed their one so Peach's Plane could land while The RPG Gamer and his 7 friends killed their one to get a Cobalt Star Shard.
- The Mom Piranha from Superstar Saga hatches out from an egg after it's children are killed while this one bursts out of the ground randomly.
- The Mom Piranha from M&LSS is female and the Piranha Plants are it's children while this Mom Piranha is genderless and the Piranha Plants are just it's minions.
- This Mom Piranha doesn't change color and just stays red.
- Due to this, it doesn't spit fire or electricity instead it spits poisonous balls of liquid.
- The stats are different to both M&LSS and it's remake.
- This Mom Piranha has a few poisonous flowers and plants around it and some cactuses and poison ivy while the M&LSS one had nothing around it.
- Due to this, this Mom Piranha can't move instead it has it's minions burrow to do the job.
- The Minion Piranha Plants spit balls of water to heal their king instead of balls of fire or electricity.
- This Mom Piranha has more Piranha Plant-like attacks rather than power-like ones.
- This Mom Piranha can counter hammers by biting anyone that tries to hammer them.
- On a side note, this makes the Piranha Plants immune to jumps and vulnerable to hammers and the Mom Piranha immune to hammers and vulnerable to jumps despite this, all special attacks still seem to work on it.
- The Mom Piranha from Superstar Saga shrinks upon defeat and Luigi then sits on it killing it completely while this Mom Piranha explodes upon defeat (just like any boss).
Powers and Abilities[]
Mom Piranha[]
- Tentacle Slash: Mom Piranha will slash it's tentacles at all enemies present. This can be dodged by jumping.
- Poison Spit: Mom Piranha will spit a ball of putrid at it's target that can cause Poisoning, this can be destroyed with a hammer.
- Tentacle Strangle: Mom Piranha will try to strangle it's target by picking them up with it's tentacles this can give the target dizziness if left uncountered. This can be countered with a hammer.
- Poison Breath: Mom Piranha will shoot Poison above The RPG Gamer and his friends. This can be avoided by jumping. If it's tentacles are folded it'll shoot the poison cloud above them and in this case they shouldn't jump.
- Inhalation: Mom Piranha will try to inhale it's target, this can be countered by hammering it when up close
- Biting Counter: A method of counterattacking if someone tries to hammer it.
- Burrow: Mom Piranha may burrow underground for 1-3 turns to hide from attackers, this can't be stopped and during this time it can't attack either.
Piranha Plants[]
(note all it's attacks (except it's defensive ones) can cause Poison.)
- Bite: The Piranha Plant will go in the ground and come out and bite it's target, this can be dodged or countered with a jump.
- Putrid Breath: The Piranha Plant will breath a cloud of poison at it's target this can be avoided by jumping.
- Waterball Heal: A Piranha Plant may shoot a ball of water to heal 45 HP to Mom Piranha, in rare cases, it may even heal itself or another Piranha Plant, this cannot be stopped.
- Hide Underground: The Piranha Plant may temporarily burrow underground to hide from attackers in this case it cannot be targeted.
