Monika is the main antagonist of the DDLC Minecraft animated music video Doki Doki Forever by AndyBTTF (now named Cubical).
She is a character from a video game called Doki Doki Literature Club, who gained self-awareness and the power to control the game itself. When a good looking teenager named Salvato begins to become closer to her friends than to her, Monika, out of burning jealousy, tries to reprogram the game to win Salvato's heart and keep him for herself, not caring about the lives of her friends.
Her singing voice was provided by Euria "OR3O" Sin, who also provided the singing voice for Monika from ZAMination's DDLC Minecraft series and also Alice Angel from the Lifeline series.
Biography[]
Monika first appeared when Sayori and the main character, Salvato, were having fun alone in the clouds. Monika stops the game with her powers and looks jealous of the closeness of the two. Monika again looks jealous and angry when Salvato and Sayori talk to each other in class. Feeling that Sayori will prevent her from getting Salvato's love, Monika kills Sayori by hanging her with a rope. Having no regrets at all, Monika came to Salvato who was writing and asked him to confess his love, which Salvato did'nt do as he was confused about what Monika meant.
Monika then took over the game and appeared in her giant form, where she held the Earth and looked at Salvato who was shocked by Monika's giant form. Because Salvato still doesn't love her, an outrages Monika asks why she can't be Salvato's girlfriend even once. Out of anger and her crazy obsession to win Salvato's heart, Monika begins shredding and destroying her friends' files, corrupting Yuri and Natsuki. Monika even mercilessly mutilated Sayori and roughly removed Sayori's organs. Because of this, the game world becomes destroyed and corrupted, forcing a frightened Salvato to run back to class. However, when he got there, he found Monika intercepted him before corrupting the entire game and herself to prevent anyone from getting Salvato's love, thus making Monika's efforts in vain.
Appearance[]
Monika is a attractive young woman with long light brown hair that she keeps in a ponytail tied back with a large white bow. Her eyes are green and look gentle. She has white toned skin. She wears the typical grayish school uniform which is a grey blazer of a white-collared shirt with a brown sweater vest over it, topped off with a red ribbon. She also wears the dark blue skirt, black thigh-high socks, which are in stark contrast to the rest of the cast's white knee-socks, and white and pink uwabaki slippers, a Japanese type of slippers.
Personality[]
Unlike the original version of Monika and also the ZAMination version who initially acts friendly and sweet until revealing her true nature in the middle of the animation, this version already shows extreme jealousy when she first appears, showing jealousy and envy every time Salvato gets close to girls other. Also unlike the other versions who are calm and manipulative, this version is hot-tempered and prefers to act directly without manipulation, seen when she was angry with Salvato's closeness to Sayori and also asked why she can't be Salvato's love interest even for once. Because of this anger, she violently and cruelly destroyed the files and programming of other characters without caring about them and she even sadistically removed and mesesed Sayori's organs in anger.
Even so, this version of Monika has one thing in common with the other versions, namely that she is drunk in love. She is so obsessed with getting Salvato's love for herself, that she will not care about anyone and anything just to get his love, even if it means the entire universe will be destroyed and corrupted as a result. Because of this, she was labeled very selfish as her drunken in love and her lack of concern for anyone except herself.
