Mono.BW is an antagonist created and owned by CryBit & Redgod97.
He is the spirit of a twelve-year-old boy born with sever achromatopsia who possessed a Sonic the Hedgehog 2 cartridge he owned before dying. Upon seeing the colors of the game, he became disgusted at the sight of colors and sought to perfect the game and others by stripping them of their colors.
Appearance[]
Mono.BW appears as a monochromatic rendition of Sonic standing at 2'4" with white eyes and fur, black skin and no nose. The entirety of his torso and legs, as well as the majority of his arms and shoes (minus the stripes) are also black.
Personality[]
Although Mono.BW's personality before his death is unknown, he became emotionless, twisted and malicious after dying. Mono.BW is obsessed with perfection, and views anything with color in it as "imperfect" and "ugly", having an irrational hatred of all things colorful, preferring to live in a monochrome world decimated by his hatred of colors. Becuase of this hatred and obsession with correcting imperfections, Mono.BW is very controlling and desires to have the video game world quite literally suit his vision by any means necessary
Mono.BW is also cold-blooded, ruthless and sadistic. Because of his controlling nature and hatred of colors, he enjoys torturing the in-game characters and punishing them just for existing with colors, having purposefully given them sentience so he could take pleasure in torturing them and ripping them apart. Despite his clearly unstable nature, Mono.BW is presented as being calm and composed, and never oversteps into acting insane or unhinged.
Biography[]
When Mono.BW was alive, he was a young child born with a severe case of achromatopsia, a condition that causes total color blindness within the person, meaning that for most of the child's life, he was forced to see the world in monochrome. When the child reached the age of twelve, he mysteriously passed away and went on to possess a Sonic the Hedgehog 2 cartridge he owned.
Upon possessing the game, the child went on to possess the Sonic character in-game, which granted him the ability to finally see colors. However, having spent the past twelve years of his life living with achromatopsia, the child, instead of being delighted, was disgusted at the sight of the colors, viewing them and the colorful world of the game as "imperfect". Vowing to "perfect" the world, the child, now known as Mono.BW, went on a rampage within the game, absorbing all the colors from the environment and the other characters. Mono.BW was especially disgusted by the sight of the characters, unnerved about how other beings could have such "imperfect" things as colors. Because of this disgust, Mono.BW, after stripping the characters of their colors, gave the characters sentience and began to torture them in various ways, mainly by ripping off their body parts and reattaching them so he could make them suffer.
After conquering the game, Mono.BW still wasn't satisfied. Now that he was able to see colors, he vowed to remove colors from all video game worlds and continue to absorb them, but was unable to due to being trapped within the confines of the game. Thus, Mono.BW silently waits, knowing that one day he'll be able to break free from the game and continue his rampage.

- Ghost physiology: As an undead soul, Mono.BW possesses incredibly unique spiritual powers he uses to achieve his goals.
- Body dismemberment: Mono.BW is capable of effortlessly and painlessly detaching his limbs from his body and rearranging them. He's also able to do this to other living entities, using it as his preferred method of torture.
- Color absorption: Mono.BW's most powerful ability is his ability to absorb/drain colors from the world around him, reverting anything in his vicinity to a monochromatic variation of what they once were. For entities, he's mainly able to strip their colors from them if they don't resist. His color draining abilities extend far beyond just entities in the game and go as far as to infect the entire game itself, with it being said that, if he could, Mono.BW could drain the colors of other game worlds completely.
- Immortality: As a ghost, Mono.BW is immortal and cannot age after death nor be killed, due to already being dead.
- Possession: Mono.BW has the ability to possess other in-game entities, as he did with Sonic when he first possessed the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 cartridge.
- Sentience manipulation: Mono.BW is able to manipulate the level of sentience and free will given to characters within the game, namely Tails and Dr. Robotnik. He can increase, decrease and even completely wipe away their sentience whenever he feels like it.
- Shapeshifting: Mono.BW is able to shapeshift into different forms, most notably the corrupted Sonic form he took upon possessing the game cartridge as well as a taller and lankier form.
Weaknesses[]
- Willpower: Although Mono.BW is powerful, he's easily combatted by people who have a much stronger physicality and mental will, only then will his color absorption powers prove to be ineffective.

- Mono.BW was originally just called "Mono", but had his name changed due to another exe having already been created with the name.
