Monsters are minor characters from the "Disney Princesses but they're Villains" series of songs by British musical artist Lydia the Bard, serving as minor characters in Belle's arc of the series. They are Belle's destructive minions that she sics on the townspeople.
History[]
In this dark reimagining, Belle grows up as an ostracized outsider after her mother, a secret magic practitioner, flees the town, leaving her with a magic grimoire. Following a sexual assault by the arrogant village hunter, Gaston and the town's indifferent support for him, Belle's resentment transforms into a desire for revenge against both the village and the Beast, who imprisons her. Orchestrating her capture at the Beast's castle, she learns of the curse and pretends to acclimate while secretly plotting. During a dance, she steals the enchanted rose, plucking its petals to irreversibly transform the Beast into a feral monster and his servants into inanimate objects. Consumed by sadism, she sics the monster on Gaston and an invading mob, later embracing dark magic from her mother's grimoire to conjure a monster army to fight the returning townspeople, despite observing her body and blood growing darker and warped with each use.
When Gaston leads a mob in a raid on the castle, Belle comes out to meet them, now fully consumed by the dark magic. She unleashes her monster army on them. Many are killed, and one young woman is seen transforming into a monster after being mauled to death by one of them. Belle kills Gaston and turns her powers on her own father, turning him into a mindless beast.
Afterwards, Belle presumably takes over the town as their "New God." It can be assumed that the monsters continue to exist and kill anyone who try to oppose her.
