Ben Dover better known as just Mr. Dover, is the main protagonist of the When Teachers Are Gamers series, made by Reid K. Boehm. He is a teacher who works at a unnamed school who has a unhealthy obsession with video games, and will use violence to be people who speak ill of them or insult his gaming skills.
He was played by Reid Boehm himself, along with him playing Trevor and the rest of the students in his classroom.
Appearance[]
Mr. Dover is a male adult who has black hair and a ginger beard, wears a pair of glasses with a white suit and black tie going down the middle. Wears a light-colored pair of pants, and has tattoos on both of his arms.
Personality[]
He is a man who is shown to be completely obsessed about video games which he likes to discuss all the time in his class, he also plays video games in his spare time whenever he is not working as a teacher. He's love for video games is shown to be so strong, anyone who dares disrespect them will feel his wrath. Usually, by them getting punched or kicked into the air where they explode upon impact. This method can be seen as abusive as he always does it to his students who are just children by the way, showing no problem in hurting a kid. He mostly targets one boy by the name of Trevor, who he seems to dislike the most do to him not being into video games as much as him and Trevor wanting to be a productive member of society.
It is shown that he is can not handle losing any matches he plays in, as in a few videos he is shown to not being able to handle losing very well, as he quickly loses his temper at the drop of the hat when this happens.
Despite his ruthlessness, Mr. Dover isn't all that bad. He was once a married man, with it being implied that he did love and care about his wife. This is further added on to when she got a divorce from him, with him not taking it so well. A nice side can come out when a student says stuff about video games. Such as in one video, when it was career day at school, Steven a student of Mr. Dover said "I wanna make video games when I grow up!" he replied with "Very respectful, Steven!"
It is shown that he has a decent friendship with Mr. Principal, as they are gaming friends who often play online games with each other in their spare time. He has standards too as he was visibly shocked when a student asked if the most important lesson they were learning about was how to collect his parents life insurance. These few redeeming qualities show that deep down Mr. Dover is not as bad as he seems on the surface.

When a student called his bluff earlier about his gaming skills, he told him he would get a haymaker as well as soon as he gets back from the principals office.
