Mufasa is the main antagonist of Love Simba's AMV Evil Mufasa, and the overarching antagonist of its sequel, Evil Simba.
He is the ruler of the Pridelands, as well as the emotionally and physically abusive dad of Simba and mate of Sarabi.
Personality[]
Unlike his original counterpart, he is a psychologically and physically abusive husband and father, who has no care for anyone besides himself. He takes any chance to yell at his son and has no problem beating him for the littlest things. He also is shown to have an explosive temper, as when he killed Scar for criticizing his parental skills. He can also be desperate in dangerous situations, as when he begged for Simba to save his life while holding on the cliff.
Biography[]
The video starts with Simba's birth, and while everyone else is celebrating, Mufasa looks unhappy. He is later shown to constantly yell at Simba for petty reasons, or even sometimes none. One day, he notices Nala and Simba fooling around, and talks to Simba alone. He then starts beating his son, which causes him to run away. He runs to the edge of a cliff, and Sarabi notices Mufasa chasing him. She pins him to the ground, but Mufasa pushes her off, leaving her unconscious. As Mufasa walks away, Scar notices Sarabi and wakes her up. Simba explains what happened and Scar goes to talk to Mufasa about his actions. Out of anger, the latter gets in a fight with the former and kills him. Out of fear, Simba runs away from the Pridelands, leaving everyone but Mufasa devastated.
Years later, Simba has traumatic flashbacks of his father's abuse. One day, Nala encounters Simba and they both fall in love. However, Simba notices Nala is upset, and she reveals ever since Simba left, Mufasa has sexually assaulted her, and even raped her. Infuriated at his father, Simba rushes back to the Pridelands immediately.
When he returns, he sees Mufasa and Sarabi get in a fight, leading to Mufasa beating Sarabi again. Seeing this, he rushes to his mother. Mufasa is surprised to see his son, and after reuniting with his mom, Simba chases his dad to the edge of a cliff. Mufasa begs for Simba to save him, but having enough of his abuse, Simba chucks Mufasa into an stampede. He then usurps his father's place as king of the Pridelands and has a kid with Nala.
In Evil Simba, his actions presumably shaped what happened to Simba, as he also becomes an abusive dad, constantly losing his temper and even killing Nala. At the end, after Simba redeems himself and lets the Outlanders into his pride, he sees his father's ghost. Love Simba has eluded to Mufasa's spirit cursing his son to become like him, but whether or not that's true is left up to interpretation.
