The Murderer is one of the Evil Roles and the main threat in the Social Deduction Roblox game Flicker. They are the leader of the Evil Team and their goal is to survive and eliminate the Good Team.

Summary

In every round of Flicker, a random player will be selected to be the Murderer. Their goal is the work together with the Evil Team to eliminate the Good Team and win. However, the Murderer will not know who the other members of the Evil Team are and can end up accidentally killing them while trying to eliminate the Good Team. Because of that, They also have the secondary goal of finding out who the other members of the Evil Team are.

Mechanics

• Every night, the Murderer will be able to select a player, the selected player will then be killed and mutilated a few seconds later. If the selected player is healed by a Medic however, they will survive.
• At the start of the game, the Murderer will be unaware of who the Evil players are, and can end up accidentally killing them. Because of that, they rely on other investigative evils such as Scout and Dark Psychic in order to find out who is Evil or Good.
• The other players will also be unaware of who the Murderer is, and must find out by using their investigative abilities.
• The Murderer cannot be Witched.
• They will appear as Evil to the Psychic, Dark Psychic and the Detective.
• The Murderer wins by eliminating all members of the Good Team. They will also instantly win in a 1v1 against a Good player.
• The only way to kill a Murderer is either having them be voted out or have a Clown kill them. That means the Good Team must eliminate the Murderer by finding out who they are and voting them out.
• Even if the Murderer is killed, the game will not end until all other evil members have been killed as well.

Trivia

• It's impossible to see the Murderer kill in the game, you can only see the mutilated corpses of their victims after each flick.
• One of the Death Animations in the game implies that they do experiments in some of their victims, which ends up failing and resulting in their deaths.
• The Murderer only has a Team in Regular Mode, in Classic Mode they are all by themselves against the Good Team.
