Myself, also known as Yourself, is the main antagonist of the Undertale fangame Your Battle.
It is a strange entity who transforms itself into a large static-filled red void that slowly kills the player as time passes. After the player's LOVE reaches 20, they are defeated by them, revealing itself as nothing but a ball. However, it is shown to only have one goal, which is none other than corrupting the player themselves. When the player attacks it once more, it transforms into an eye and, having finally enough of the player, attempts to make them die by luring the DIE button towards them, but it is eventually outmatched by the player constantly gaining LOVE to the point the game crashes.
Appearance[]
At first, it seems to be simply a red smiley face in the darkness. However, when the battle begins, it turns into a large, poisonous red void filled with static. After it's defeat, it reveals it's appearance, being a white ball-like entity. When attacked once more, it transforms into a large eye.
Personality[]
Myself's personality is quite unknown during most of the first phase of the battle, but when it reveals it's true form, it reveals itself as an obsessive figure who only desires one objective, which is corrupting the player just because it is them. It can also become furious if the player attacks it, as it only wants the player to die to corrupt them easily.
Biography[]
At the start of the game, a red smiley face is seen flashing in the darkness, before the battle begins, with nothing but darkness at first. However, when the player attacks it, it reveals itself as a large red void that drains the player's HP overtime.
Throughout the battle, it will send a large variety of attacks, like Gaster Blasters, mazes, obstacle courses, a Temmie-styled game where they must find the correct Temmie faces in order, a gradually shrinking battle box, quizzes and more, all of them involving the player collecting a small green orb that gradually upgrades their LOVE until they reach LV. 20.
When the player's LOVE reaches LV. 19, they are greeted with a clock-based attack, where the player must write four codes using the clock's numbers while avoiding the clock hands spinning around it. The strategy for this is to press every number until they see green numbers, which means that they are part of the code that the player must use.
At LV 20, the music stops and the entity stops attacking. At that point, the player deals a final slash on it, draining it's HP completely and causing it to reveal itself as a ball-like entity. It then introduces itself to the player, naming itself as them. The player is then given a choice, which would result in multiple different endings. If they attack it, it reduces the damage it takes to 0 and, finally having enough of the player, transforms into an eye, who uses the voice clips of all the Undertale characters as it's dialogue. It then tells the player to entertain it before they die to it anyways, by surviving as long as they can from a DIE button that slowly follows them, forcing the player to move their SOUL around to avoid it.
30 seconds later, the entity is furious that they are still not dead yet. Eventually, they force the player on the DIE button, draining their HP to 1, only to be quickly healed by an unknown ally, who constantly levels the player up to the point the entity can't take it anymore, begging them to stop. Finally having enough of the player's persistence, it transforms once more, but makes the game crash instead.
If the player tries to flirt with it, it will gradually become more and more annoyed, eventually resulting in it snapping in rage and enlarging the battle box to the point it completely fills the screen. It then sends multiple attacks at the same time, with eyes looking at them and large mouths trying to eat away their HP by chomping their SOUL. It is impossible to survive, causing the player to die anyway and spend the rest of their days trapped inside the battle box.
Trivia[]
- It has the largest amount of health compared to characters from other Unitale games, having an indeterminable amount of HP that only drains out when the player is at least LV 17.
- It's eye form is commonly referred to as the "Eye God" by fans.
