King Naeus, formerly known as General Naeus is the main antagonist of the Minecraft animated web-series, Fractures.
He was once a high-ranking general of the Nether Empire, respected for his control over the army and feared for how far he would go to carry out his goals. While he served under the old king, he quietly believed the empire had lost its strength and direction. He planned to remove the king and take the throne for himself, convinced that only he could restore the Nether to what it once was. During this time, he became a mentor to the princess, guiding her through her training and helping her earn the respect of those who had doubted her.
Eventually, he battled the false pig king, and managed to come out on top, taking his crown and becoming the new ruler of the nether empire. From there, he continued Herobrine's war on the overworld, invading the end and killing the ender dragon, aswell as beheading Ceris. After dying due to Daryll's sacrifice, he was resurrected by the army and led an attack on the Frostborune, managing to easily defeat them, he is currently looking for the end crystals so he can win the war.
He is voiced by Tigilord.
Appearance[]
When Naeus was a general, he looked like a strong and serious Netherkin. His skin was tanned and he had reddish-brown hair along with a beard. His eyes were black with red pupils, showing the effect of the Wither Heart curse. There was a scar on the left side of his face near his eye. He wore gray armor pieces with red edges over a set of purple clothes. His small horns stuck out from his forehead, marking his Netherkin heritage.
After he died and turned into a skeleton, Naeus lost all the flesh on his body and only bones remained. Even though he was now a skeleton, he still wore a purple robe that draped over his frame. His horns stayed on his skull but looked more worn down. His empty eye sockets glowed with a bright light, giving him a more fearsome and otherworldly appearance.
When Naeus became king, his appearance changed again to show his new status and power. He wore the Nether Crown, which was decorated with gold. His robes changed to a dark red color that slowly faded into purple, and he had a matching cape flowing behind him. Most of his body was covered in Netherite armor except for parts of his head and horns that were left bare. His eyes glowed with red and purple light, sometimes flashing to show his magical power.

Naeus is cruel and power-hungry. He enjoys seeing others suffer, especially those who stand in his way or show weakness. His actions are often fueled by a twisted sense of control, and he rarely shows mercy once he has the upper hand. He takes pleasure in domination, and his rise to power was built on fear, strategy, and manipulation. He is obsessed with power and control. Naeus believes that only strength matters, and he’s willing to do anything to climb higher and keep his position. He doesn’t follow anyone else’s rules unless it benefits him, and he sees most people as tools or obstacles. Betrayal and violence are just part of his methods, and he doesn’t regret the things he’s done to gain influence.
Despite his ruthless nature, Naeus does care for the Nether and its people. He sees himself as the only one fit to lead them, and in his mind, all his brutal decisions are justified by that goal. He believes the empire needs someone strong enough to protect it and restore its former power. His connection to the Nether Princess is the strongest example of his loyalty, as he mentored her and helped her grow into a leader. His care may be cold and buried beneath layers of cruelty, but it’s real and deeply tied to his vision of a stronger empire.

Naeus was originally a Netherkin and a powerful warrior who served under Tuskarr, the first ruler of the Nether Kingdom. During the early days, the Soul Sand Valley was torn by rebellions and rival factions. Naeus fought alongside Mammon to secure the region and establish order. Their efforts helped lay the foundation for the Nether Kingdom, and Naeus earned respect as a fierce and capable commander.
After Mammon’s death, Naeus rose in prominence and took on greater responsibility within the kingdom. His loyalty to the realm and his skill in battle made him one of the Nether’s most important leaders. Later, during the chaos of war, Naeus became a wither skeleton, marking a transformation that greatly increased his power, it's unknown how he became a wither skeleton though.

In Season 1, Naeus works as an advisor in the Nether Horde under King Glutton. He helps keep the soldiers in line and makes sure things run smoothly in the army. Naeus is good at fighting and knows how to lead people. Many respect him because of his skills and experience. When Herobrine comes over and wants to ally with the nether, Naeus can be seen.
When Naeus brought Abigail back to the Nether and revived her, people didn’t think she could be a leader because she was still human. Naeus decided to train her himself. He gave her a weapon called the Ruby Thorn that connects to her past. He taught her how to fight and survive in the tough Nether world. With Naeus’s help, Abigail got stronger and learned how to lead. She even beat a Wither Knight who had once defeated her. Naeus’s training helped Abigail become a strong and respected leader.

Powers and Abilities[]
- High Intelligence: Naeus is extremely intelligent and is classified as one of, if not the most intelligent character in the series, he is correctly able to plan out his path to king of the nether empire and is a genius in every way.
- Swordsmanship: Naeus is very good with swords, as he is able to defeat the False Pig King, and is able to easily take out the ender dragon by stabbing it in the mouth.
- Magic: With his powers, Naeus is able to utilize magic in several ways, like pyromancy, electromancy.
- Pyromancy: Due to being a netherkin, Naeus has fire powers and is able to use them to his advantage.
- Electromancy: He is able to manipulate electricity and can utilize it with his weapons and gear.
- Teleporation: Naeus is easily able to teleport, and uses this to his advantage while fighting off enemies.
- Nigh-immortality: As he is undead, Naeus is practically immortal and can even survive bullets, though he can physically die, he can be brought back to life.
- Manipulation: As he is an intelligent individual, Naeus is easily able to manipulate people for his own goals and schemes.
- Agility: Naeus can be extremely fast, and can speedily attack his enemies.
- Durability: As he is basically immortal, Naeus is very durable, he is able to survive bullets, as they simply deflect off him.
- Intimidation: Naeus is a very intimidating person, he can intimidate his foes, and make them run away in fear just by the look of him.
