| ~ Namor revealing his true motives and inner ambitions |
Namor the Sub Mariner is a supporting character of the Marvel Fanfilm Universe, appearing as the tritagonist of the pilot episodes in the 2022 action series The Wakandian League, as he will return in some capacity of the show's upcoming first season. He will also serve as the protagonist in Namor the Sub Mariner.
He is a wrathful yet overprotective and well-intentioned tribe warrior who was chosen to eliminate humanity. He learnt about peace from his best friend from the neighboring kingdom M'Baku, and he preferred to spare humanity until a band of mercenaries slaughtered every person from his tribe and most importantly, his beloved mother.
He is portrayed by Tenoch Huerta, who played his MCU version.
History[]
Namor was the son of the Atlantean king and queen, and was chosen by his underwater tribe to destroy humanity completely. However, after befriending M'Baku from his neighboring kingdom Wakanda, he became good hearted and peaceful, and he preferred to spare humans despite his tribe's ambitious purpose.
Namor however quickly changed his mind as mercenaries destroyed his tribe completely, killing everyone around him including his very own father, and most importantly, his beloved mother.
Namor joined The Wakandian League of superhero basketball players to live his life beyond it's past, despite always having an inner ambition to complete his goal and wipe the human race off the map. Namor was pleased to see M'Baku joining their team, and his friend became the team's leader instead of him, calling himself the Man Ape. There were no signs of jealousy from Namor, who treated him as a good friend and preferred not to betray their friendship.
Namor also revealed that before joining the league, and long after his tribe's extinction, he was experimented in the same room as Lady Deathstrike by Magneto's chief scientist and secret spy Doctor Nemesis, who injected them with V serum which brainwashed them into serving him out of anger and vengeful thoughts. Namor however realized how to use his anger against Magneto.
Namor then went with the rest of the team to stop Magneto and his enforcers from destroying humanity completely before they conquer the existence and shape it in Magneto's image.
After Pyro convinces his father to redeem himself, Namor intervenes and backstabs The Vulture. Leah asks Namor why he killed him. Namor replies that he did this to start avenging his tribe and mother. Gamora points out that he's doing this out of arrogance, which he denies due to the fact he cared for his long gone mother and tribe members.
He killed both Leah Monroe and Pyro during the final battle. He then overpowered both Hulk and Gamora, leaving them both unconscious for a few minutes. Man Ape then comes to fight him. He remarks that M'Baku is still a friend out of genuine remorse towards him. However, the Man Ape rejects his friendly gesture and manages to defeat the sub mariner.
Trivia[]
- Namor is overall the tritagonist of the series, sharing an important role in the story with his former mentor Erik Konigen. However, this changed during the finale. He became corrupted by his tragic backstory, and he would do anything to destroy humanity and stop The Wakandian League teammates from interfering with his plans. He survived after Magneto's death and became the very last direct threat.
- Namor will be revealed to not be dead in the first season after the released pilot saga.
