And when you lose, I and Arnulf will make a good meal out of you, and the Führer will happily let me keep the Asian half of the USSR as part of my Imperialist Empire! So do your worst, Renka! | „ |

Nao Sakuranomiya (real name Naoko) is a minor posthumous antagonist of the dark fantasy Countryhumans fanfic The Full Moon Hangs Above and will appear as a minor neutral character in Perdition. She was the mother and creator of Kanoko Sakuranomiya.
She was created by Nobuo Sakuranomiya, the personification of Tokugawa Shogunate. Naoko is born in January 3, 1868.
Appearance[]
Nao has a predominantly white body. She primarily uses the Rising Sun flag, but can switch to the normal flag of Japan depending on occasion and mood. She used to have normal teeth until they become sharp after Goddess Asia fulfilled her wish to give her the ability to transform into a Jorogumo. In her Jorogumo form, she has the lower half of a giant brown spider (with the obvious species being the Brazilian Wandering Spider). She wore a khaki military uniform with a matching neck flap cap with a yellow star on it and dark brown boots.
In her casual wear, she wore a white shirt with olive green cardigan and skirt with a belt and a matching hat, and black pumps.
In her teenage years, she wore a cream kimono with a red obi.
Personality[]
Like Arnulf, Salvatore and Yelena (though not inherently), Naoko is cruel and sadistic to her enemies, and she even sometimes goes as far as devouring them alive when in her Jorogumo form. She is usually described as way worse than Arnulf, Yelena and even Salvatore. Unlike how Arnulf, Salvatore and Yelena treat their kids, she had an extremely strict code of honor preventing her from going harsh on Kanoko and tried her best to keep calm and hide her true nature when she is around her (yet, this is fully exposed when Kanoko finally found out about her mother's true monstrous nature), but there are times where she would slap Kanoko, but becomes outright horrified for what she had done, and then apologizes after, sometimes tearfully. However, even after her war crimes and her true monstrous and abusive nature are found out by Kanoko, Naoko still cherishes her daughter, and Kanoko loved her back in return, even after her death.
Interestingly, when in her Jorogumo form, Naoko lets her daughter ride on her, in the same way how certain wolf spider species let their baby spiderlings ride on their mother's abdomen.
