~ Nemesis when he revives Megatron as Galvatron |
Nemesis Prime is a major antagonist in Transformers Interstellar, and a minor antagonist in Gigawatt: Rise of the Fallen.
He is the evil, corrupted version of Optimus Prime who was endured with a Dark Energon-infected version of the Matrix of Leadership. He is the polar opposite of his original counterpart, and wishes to expand the power of Dark Energon and corrupt every Cybertronian with it. He was voiced by Zachery Fuller, who also voiced Megatron in the same series.
Personality[]
Nemesis Prime is unlike anything his original version was. He is more violent and edgy, as evident by him warping his original awe inspiring quotes into dark and twisted versions. Despite becoming a vessel of evil, he shows respect for Megatron, and revived him as Galvatron. He is completely subservient to his former brother, and obeys him completely.
History[]
After Lockdown corrputed the Matrix into a Dark Energon Matrix, Optimus grabs it and is immediately corrupted by it, and transforms into Nemesis Prime. He then goes on a massive killing spree, killing Lockdown, Hound, and Crosshairs in the process. He then makes his way Megatron’s corpse, and revived him as Galvatron. He begs Galvatron to forgive him, and promises to never hurt him again. Galvatron then takes Nemesis to Starscream, and orders him to Transform him into Terror. Galvatron then orders them to look for more vessels. Nemesis revived Bumblebee as Goldbug, and transforms Blackout into Obsidian. Afterwards, Galvatron asks for the Matrix, but Nemesis refuses, and states that it is his responsibility. Suddenly, he senses the return of his mentor Sentinel Prime, and ridicules him for fueling the separation between him and Megatron when they were young. Sentinel then attempts to destroy his Matrix, and was almost killed by his former apprentice. Ratchet then stuns Nemesis, and allows Sentinel to remove the Matrix and destroy it, killing Nemesis. Optimus then awakens in limbo with the thirteenth prime, and revived him with a brand new Matrix of the Primes.
In an alternate timeline of these events, The Fallen and Shattered Glass Optimus approach Galvatron and Nemesis before he was beaten by Sentinel. The Fallen easily rips him apart and steals the Matrix. He then uses it to upgrade both Galvatron and Optimus into stronger forms, which fully depleted the Matrix.
Trivia[]
- This version of Nemesis Prime appears to be based off of the Bayverse version of Nemesis. Rather than being a doppelgänger, he is a corrupted version of Optimus and acts more violently.
- The figure that portrays him is the Weijang M-01B Commander, an oversized knockoff of the Evasion Mode Optimus figure from 2014.
- This version of Nemesis Prime lacks the cyan colors of the traditional Nemesis color scheme, but instead features purple flames.
