Nimrod the Sentinel is a major antagonist of the Marvel Fanfilm Universe, appearing as the opening antagonist of the first arc of the franchise. To be specific, he serves as one of the two main antagonists (along with William Stryker) in the 2017 Marvel based fanfilm/presentation, Dawn of The Mutants and a posthomous antagonist in the entire X-Men film saga. He is the ruthless and powerful leader of The Sentinels, and he declares war against both humanity and mutant kind, as part of his program to cleanse the world from sins.
History[]
Birth[]
Created by the ruthless lieutenant Jay Banner and chief scientist David Banner, Nimrod was programmed to strategize against the mutants, and receive orders from Commander William Stryker. However, since Magneto attacked the lab and hacked into the Sentinels' AI (artificial intelligence), Nimrod became much more destructive, and ultimately developed his aggressive, ruthless and independent persona. He auto activated while being reviewed by William Stryker, and he shot William Stryker by sending him a beam of laser. Thereafter, Nimrod escaped the facility and reunited with his fellow Sentinels. He and the other Sentinels were seen destroying one of the city's tallest skyscrapers, as he shot a massive beam of laser from his chest, causing the building to explode and the people inside to die.
Massacring the city[]
During the night, Nimrod attacked Stryker's base and he managed to kill David Banner before the night went through. At dawn, Nimrod attacked one of the city's parks with his Sentinels, and spoke to them, as he promised that the world shall be cleared from sins, and that only Sentinels shall survive and also rule the world. The Sentinels started rampaging the park and killing many people in the same area. Nimrod later found Victor Creed, and ordered his sentinel bodyguards to take him as a hostage, just so Psylocke/Elizabeth Braddock would come to save him, and he can kill her for being a chosen mutant. While The Sentinels have started massacring the city, Nimrod stood with Creed and a few Sentinel bodyguards, as he revealed Creed his plans to kill Psylocke, steal her chosen powers and then cleanse the world from sins. Psylocke eventually did come to save Victor, and she fought The Sentinels. After Psylocke killed all three sentinel bodyguards, Nimrod threatened to kill Victor Creed. However, Victor Creed grabbed his back wires and plugged a bomb to him. As Nimrod exploded and collapsed, Victor Creed (as a result of the explosion) flew back and fell off the roof to his death.
