Noelle Holiday is the main antagonist of the Deltarune fangame Frozen Over, which was written by AcousticJamm on GameJolt.
The story takes place after the events of the Snowgrave Route, where Kris made Noelle freeze several civilians to get stronger, equip the Thorn Ring and later freeze Berdly, presumably killing them.
While canon Noelle didn't know what she was doing was evil and felt uncomfortable during it, this version of Noelle was aware of what Kris was doing and enjoyed it, accepting that she should get stronger even if it means harming others, and later decided to use her powers to kill Kris and plunge the world into an ice age.
Personality[]
Noelle Fight[]
Just like canon Noelle, she felt uncomfortable at first when she was freezing the civilians, not knowing what to do and being lost in thought. However, she later realized that Kris was doing that to make her stronger and decided to embrace her role, fully believing that she should get stronger even if it means freezing everyone and later saw her massacre as something she actually enjoyed.
Although she spends most of the fight trying to kill Kris, she seems to be trustworthy of them, being grateful for the way they guided her and believing that thanks to them she had discovered her “true self”. However, she won’t hesitate to murder Kris if she sees that they’re trying to kill her, and starts the fight wanting to kill Kris because she believes it will make her stronger.
A characteristic that both the Normal Fight and Hard Mode versions of Noelle have in common is their possible respect for Toriel and Asriel, as she will feel nostalgic about spending time with them and even stop fighting Kris if they sing a lullaby that Toriel used to sing to them.
Hard Mode[]
Unlike canon and Noelle Fight, the Hard Mode version of Noelle was never uneasy with freezing everyone to get stronger, fully enjoying it and knowing what the true goal was the whole time. She also has no true loyalty towards Kris and considers them an enemy, even seeing herself as the true manipulator. Instead, she serves The Knight, believing that they would never mislead her.
Biography[]
Noelle Fight[]
Both modes take place after the events of the Snowgrave Route. After Noelle ended up in the Cyber World and formed a truce with Kris, the latter made her freeze and presumably kill several civilians around Cyber World, with Noelle seeing it as a way of getting stronger. They later bought a Thorn Ring from Spamton and equipped it on Noelle. Because of that, Noelle learned a fatal spell called “Snowgrave” and used it to freeze Berdly.
Afterwards, Noelle ended up lost in thought, not knowing what to do and ran away. After a conversation with Susie, Noelle realized that Kris wasn't trying to make her evil or harm her, they were simply trying to make her stronger. She then accepted her role and even started being proud of her crimes, later admitting that she enjoyed it.
One day later, she encounters Kris in the Dark World, realizes that she could get even more stronger by killing them so she starts the fight. During the fight, she talks to Kris about everything that happened, her thoughts and about her plans. She mentions that she plans to plunge the world into a “new ice age” as her ultimate plan of getting stronger, and even claims that she and Kris will finally be free afterwards.
She then launches a massive ice age attack, which freezes the entire world, only sparing her and Kris. After the attack, Noelle will become vulnerable.
Hard Mode[]
The backstory for the “Hard Mode” version of Noelle is almost the same with a few changes. During the massacre, Noelle was fully aware of everything and enjoyed it, never caring that what she was doing was evil and only focusing on getting stronger. She later told everything to Susie, who realized Kris was manipulating Noelle and decided to assist her plans.
A day later, she encounters Kris and they start battling, with Noelle revealing everything to them, just like in the normal fight. She keeps taunting Kris about how they’re gullible and she’s the true manipulator and later reveals she’s a follower of The Knight. After several turns, she releases her Ice Age attack so she can “set Kris free” and it ends up freezing everyone except for her and Kris. Afterwards she’ll become vulnerable.
Endings[]
While the battles have different dialogue, the endings for both “Noelle Fight” and “Hard Mode” are exactly the same. Those endings can only be summoned after Noelle unleashes her “Ice Age Attack”. Attempting to kill or talk Noelle out of fighting before that will always fail.
Pacifist Ending[]
After Noelle becomes vulnerable, Kris learns a new ACT command called “Hum”. When used, Kris will sing and Noelle will stop being hostile, as if she lost her memory or switched personalities, and will start showing concern for Kris over them being frozen. She’ll then talk about Kris’ song, feeling nostalgic about it and remembering the good moments she had with Toriel and Asriel. After this, Noelle can be spared.
Genocide Ending[]
Normally when Kris attacks Noelle, she’ll use her ice shield to block it, dealing zero damage. However, if Kris attacks after the “Ice Age attack”, the shield won’t be summoned and Noelle will be killed in one hit.
Betrayal Ending[]
This ending happens if Kris does the “Hum” ACT, but chooses to attack Noelle instead of sparing. Noelle will take damage but will still survive. She then understands what Kris is doing and unleashes “Snowgrave”, an unavoidable attack that will instantly kill Kris upon touching the soul.
NOALL FIET[]

NOALL FIET is a joke mode present in the fangame. It is similar to Noelle Fight, but the character designs and background are changed to be jokingly awful. The storyline is also changed to something more comedic and nonsensical, with Noelle herself speaking in a broken language and even using slangs. It has the same three endings as the other modes, but with changed dialogue. When Noelle becomes vulnerable and Kris uses the new ACT command, instead of humming, Kris gives Noelle ham which convinces her to stop fighting. Kris can also attack and destroy Noelle’s ham, which makes her mad enough to use Snowgrave and kill Kris.
The battle system and attacks are the same as in the normal mode, but the order of the attacks is different.
Battle[]
Noelle Fight[]
Due to her magic type, all of Noelle's attacks will be related to ice. If The Soul gets hit by a ice attack, there's a high chance it'll be frozen, making its movement more slippery, which can make it harder to avoid attacks. Once that happens, Kris can unfreeze the Soul by either using the "match" item, using the ACT command "Thaw", which requires 75% TP, or by eating the "Pie", which both unfreezes and maximizes Kris' health.
Noelle's final attack is the "Ice Age". If the player manages to survive it, they can get one of the three endings.
Hard Mode[]
As the name states, this is a gamemode with a harder difficulty due to faster and modified attacks, making it more challenging to defeat Noelle. The colors of Noelle and the Snowballs are also changed in the battle, along with several lines of dialogue. The order of attacks is also different from the normal fight..
Endless Mode[]
The Endless Mode is essentially the same as Noelle Fight, but without dialogue and it's impossible to spare or kill Noelle. It is just a mode for players to see how long they can last fighting against Noelle. The order of attacks is completely randomized, making it possible for Noelle to use the same atatcks several times in a row, and after each turn the game will say how many turns the player has survived so far.
