Norman and Derek Price are two of the titular main antagonists of Ferdia McCabe’s videos and serving as the main antagonists of Norman and Derek Get Grounded. Just like their TV counterparts, they are two little troublemakers who cause trouble and get grounded. They are also seen teaming up with other troublemakers. In the TV series, they are both voiced by Steven Kynman. In GoAnimate, Norman is voiced by Geraint and Derek is voiced by Brian.
Appearance[]
Norman and Derek both resemble their TV counterparts, but in GoAnimate style. In series 1-4, Norman has red hair, green eyes, round gold glasses, a grey shirt under a patterned vest, and green pants. In series 5, Norman wears a green shirt under a blue jacket and camo pants. In series 6-15, he wears the same attire as in series 5, but he gets blue square glasses and now has blue eyes. In series 16, he now wears a yellow shirt under a dark blue jacket, beige pants, and he now has green glasses instead of blue ones.
Personality[]
Norman and Derek’s personalities are very similar to the TV versions. They are two mischievous troublemakers. Norman is a troublemaker who causes trouble around Pontypandy all the time. He often causes emergencies and puts himself in danger. He is far more mischievous and troublesome as of the sixth series to the twelfth series as he causes emergencies way more often than he did in the first series to the fifth series. However, starting in the thirteenth series, Norman's personality and traits have been toned down to the fact where he is well-behaved and only causes emergencies on occasions. He is also shown to be knowledgeable about science, as seen in Chemistry Set and Trevor's Boot Sale.
Biography[]
Norman has shown interest in becoming a fireman himself one day, but he also has said he was going to be a shepherd when he grows up as stated in Sheepdog Trials. He loved strawberries (as stated when vanilla ice-cream was dropped on his head in What Goes Up), but went off them in The Wishing Well after eating too many and feeling sick afterwards. He holds the Gwyneth Book of Records for being rescued fifty-seven times as of Record Breakers. Derek was a doppelgänger of Norman, but without the glasses.
