The Darkness, Also known as Beelzebub, Chernabog, Bad Fate, Ayin and Many More is The Overarching Antagonist of Morning Star, He is the Pre-Existential Void/Darkness that indirectly created the multiverse, and now seeks to assimilate all of reality to into an eternal void of the darkness
Appearance[]
The Darkness has many appearances, and seemingly is always changing his forms.
Idol[]
His idol/statue resembles a skeletal-like being, who wears a crown over his head, he has 2 large wings that are painted black and are made out of metal, the rest of his body has a black cape over it, which is made out of an unknown material, there are also 3 symbols above his head, which are the symbols of chernabog
True Form?[]
In both the flashback and in the present, the darkness always has a change of forms and a very inconsistent appearance. At first, he appears as a cephalopod like being, with many eyes and tentacles, his body being made out of nothing but a dark void, but he also appeared as a large demon like being, who has 2 glowing green eyes, 2 large horns on his head and 4 large wings on his back, that seem to be long. His chest seems to have eyes on it, and his arms seem to be have tentacles on it. His true form is likely an incomprehensible void of darkness, and that these are just preferred forms, however this is unknown.
Biography[]
Role in Creation[]
Before there was anything, before existence itself there was only him, the primordial chaos, he is an eternal being who had always existed, it is assumed that during a long time ago, he created the cosmic entities, deities and the multiverse, not much is known about his background beyond speculation
Invasion and Assimilation of Hell[]
Roughly a few months before the events of the series, a few members of a cult had performed an ancient ritual, which would result in the darkness being summoned in the realm, moments after the summoning of the darkness, he had begun to assimilate large parts of hell and was beginning to become larger and larger, eventually he was consuming parts of the entire realm, seeing the destruction many inhabitants of hell have tried to flee from the scene, many of them have tried to fight it but to no avail, even the ruler of hell, mephisto after seeing the cosmic being had begun to run away from the carnage, managing to escape only at the last minute. After this, the entirety to hell was turned into nothing but an endless void of darkness, leaving mephisto and many of his demons homeless and nigh-powerless. After the darkness had invaded hell, it would go on presumably invade heaven and then prepare to invade the earth/the universe
Chapter 5[]
During the events of chapter 5, lucifer would sleep before going into the broadcast source, during lucifer's dream, darkness would invade his dream, advising him to betray plutus and calling plutus "A Deceiver, a bringer of false light", in the main timeline this would influence lucifer to turn down plutus' offering and prevent his return
The Finale[]
During the finale episode, darkness would empower lucifer with a spilt power of himself, and would manipulate him into killing Xeres, after the death of xeres, darkness would manipulate lucifer into putting all of the sin keys into the sin gate, promising him great rewards and promising to grant his desires, as lucifer begins to open the gate, parts of the darkness start to escape the gate, and reality and start to distort and become warped to the point where time becoming nigh-meaningless, with lucifer starting to encounter past versions of himself.
Lucifer would then go on to make a grand choice, to free the darkness or not.
If Lucifer choses to set him free, a large mass of tentacles would break out, and start to invade reality, lucifer seeing the threat runs as fast as possible without looking back, eventually lucifer manages to make it out of the mine and unto the path to the bridge, after arriving at the bridge lucifer looks back, but he cannot believe his eyes, the mine would crumble and be destroyed, revealing a large cloud of formless darkness, which would eventually form into a large demonic beast with large tentacles growing out of it, not long after this, the entire planet would would assimilated, with the screams of beings who lived there being heard, after the planet was assimilated, darkness would begin to to assimilate entire galaxies, and eventually the entire universe. All that existed, all that ever was is now nothing but an endless void.
If lucifer choses to disobey the darkness and close the gate, darkness would use all warped time and space and merge it into a singular strike, using the strike as a last ditch effort he would use the warping strike to send the sin keys into an unknown place, and would use it to to trap lucifer in the astral dimension for eternity, and turn back time. The strike would cause a geomagnetic shockwave, and general a thunderstorm.
With present lucifer trapped in the astral dimension, it is assumed that he would go on to become xerxes or his successor, and present lucifer would wake up early due to the thunderstorm, this being a recall of the start of the story, it is assumed that the darkness either created or maintained a time loop
Powers and Abilities[]
Autopotence: The Darkness has complete omnipotence over himself, he is able to control every aspect of himself and is able to take any form or shape, and has the ability to completely re-define his characteristics, the darkness also has the ability to give himself any power, or to take any power away from himself, even though the darkness cannot express his omnipotence on beings other than himself, he is just as strong as them, if he were to battle an omnipotent being, the battle would be a stalemate due to him being omnipotent over himself. The darkness can also adapt to the power of others or the environment, he is able to not only detect a power that someone might use on him, but is also able to make himself immune to it, adapt to it, or create a power to instantly counter it, so far the only weakness of the darkness has been dimensional travel.
Oblivion Embodiment: Darkness not only embodies darkness, but the absolute state of nonexistence and oblivion itself, not only is he the embodiment of nonexistence, but is presumably above all concepts, including that of life, death, time and possibly existence itself. He is also able to manipulate voids and oblivion like forces, as seen during his invasion of hell. He is also able to use this to destroy/assimilate any possible material, and convert it into pure nothingness
Space-Time Manipulation: Darkness is able to manipulate space and time itself, as seen during the time finale, he is able to merge time in a way that it becomes warped to the point there it becomes nigh-nullified. He is also able to create time loops
Omega Reality Warping: The Darkness was responsible for the creation of the entire multiverse, and presumably by an accident. He is able to warp reality on an omniversal scale, ranking him higher than any other reality warpers in the series
