~ Odalia revealing how she made Ayzee win the Fight Coven. |
Odalia Blight is a major antagonist in MoringMark's Owl House Future AU web comics.
She a disgraced con artist and the biological grandmother of Ayzee Noceda-Blight. In order to earn Ayzee's trust and steal the last Abomaton processor, she used her oracle magic to make Andes the Pain Shepherd see the error of his ways and forfeit the Fight Coven.
History[]
Past[]
Presumably, Odalia's past follows her cannon counterpart. She acted as the C.E.O. of Blight Industries and verbally abused her own family on several occasions. After a failed demonstration of her company's newest weapon, the Abomatron, Odalia made a deal with Kikimora to supply the Abamatrons exclusively to the Emperor's Coven.
Somehow, Odalia learned of the Draining Spell, a spell Emperor Belos would use to destroy witchkind. Odalia was told she would be made royalty if the plan succeeded and thus went along with it. After the spell failed and the Collector took over the Boiling Isles, Odalia sided with him to save her own skin. It is unknown what exactly she did after the Collector turned good and freed the Boiling Isles, though it is known that Odalia was forced to become a lowly con artist after Blight Industries was shut down. At some point, Odalia started working for an unseen boss.
Fight Coven[]
Odalia watched Ayzee battle Andes the Pain Shepherd in the Fight Coven. For reasons currently unclear, she made Andes see a vision of his past, which reminded him of his own tragedies and the person he used to be. Thus, Andes forfeited and Ayzee was crowned champion. At some point, Odalia gave a cursed amulet to a witch and tried to charge him an unreasonable price to remove it. After Ayzee told the witch to see Lady Celine, Odalia told her Ayzee truth, that she was the one who led Andes to throw the match and that Ayzee owed her victory to her.
Ayzee asks Odalia what she wants, and Odalia tells her that she needs food, as she hasn't eaten in weeks. Ayzee gives her food and agrees to keep doing so. Odalia leaves but is approached by two goons. One of them hands her a crow phone with Odalia's boss on the other end. Odalia tells her boss that earning Ayzee's trust will take time, leaving the Fight Coven arc on an enigmatic note.
Hero Complex[]
It's shown that Ayzee has continued to bring Odalia Food, despite them not being on good terms. Ayzee asks if she can upgrade her abomination bracelet, and Odalia mentions that she can only do that with an Abomaton computer chip, and that Abomatons were outlawed long ago. This leads to Ayzee plotting to steal the last Abomaton chip from Amity's safe, and it's heavily implied that this was Odalia's plan all along.
The next day, Odalia and Ayzee met up again. Odalia pointed out some hooded witches, and told Ayzee that they were criminals planning to take down an airship. She told Ayzee that they needed to be stopped, but that neither of them were powerful enough to defeat the witches.
Odalia instructed Ayzee give her the Abomaton Computer Chip, to which Ayzee mockingly gave her a potato chip before angrily walking away. The next morning, Ayzee saw that an airship actually was shot down. She went to the lair of the criminals to see Odalia, only to find her lifeless body lying on a table with a knife in its chest.
Personality[]
Most versions of Odalia are seen as some of the worst villains in their respective continuities, and this version is not an exception. In her mind, she is the only person that matters; everyone else is disposable. She is not in any way above scamming and extorting people as she engages in these activities frequently. She holds herself in high regard as she told Ayzee she should help her, completely disregarding all the horrible things she did to Ayzee's family.
Appearance[]
The last few decades have not been kind to Odalia. Her fingers appear rough and her skin is pale and worn out. Her hair has also gone from a vibrant green to an almost grey color. Odalia seems to still be wearing her purple shirt and white vest, though it is extremely worn down. She now wears a poorly-maintained blue hoodie to hide her appearance.
