“ | Oh, is that so? Trust me, shrimp, I’m a monster to the core, I’m the epitome of evil itself, but what I’m doing will vastly improve the way you view life. See, I’m on a higher scale of living than you are, where you abide by the rules it just makes things so... Boring! What I’m trying to show you is basic mobian nature! That you are all free to do what you want when the law lets their guard down. And trust me, when they’re down... You’ll be as crazy as I am... | „ |
~ Phaton's nihilistic rant to Tails after the latter calls him deluded. |
“ | Oh my... you.. really are optimistic, aren’t you? I believe the saying goes “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”, but if I had to twist it, I would say what you fail to kill will linger inside you until the end of time... I’m contempt with knowing I’ve taken your primary source of happiness, the one who helped you during your darkest moments.. Is now nothing but a posthumous memory… And that is what truly makes me smile… Antio sas! | „ |
~ Phaton lamenting his victory before dramatically falling to his death. |
Phaton, also known as Hellsin when transformed, is the titular secondary antagonist the Sonic.exe: Phantom Saga.
He appears as the titular main antagonist of Sonic.exe: Phantom Beginning, the main antagonist of it's sequel, Sally.exe: Phantom Discovery, the secondary antagonist of Sonic.exe: Endless Nightmares and the deuteragonist of Sonic the Hedgehog: Phantom Finale.
Phaton is an enigmatic, ghoulish entity that is indirectly freed from his prison by Sonic, and replicates his form in order to create a lawless world inhabited by his former friends, who he plans to enslave and turn into mindless nihilists. He is later revealed to be an alternate incarnation of Sonic that was corrupted and enslaved by the demon Talrareth. He would later betray his boss and redeem himself once he was reminded of his true identity.
History[]
Phantom Saga[]
Origins[]
Phaton began as a Sonic from another timeline, who ended up coming across the Phantom Ruby one day as he wandered through Angel Island. However, upon grabbing it, he was thrusted into a dark void and stripped of all his free will, becoming a puppet to the game's true main antagonist, Talrareth. He is ordered to take over the dimension of the present-day Sonic the Hedgehog, take on his form and begin to transform the dimension into his own personal playground.
Sonic.EXE Phantom Beginning Part 1[]
A little bit later, Tails arrived at Angel Island, where the Black Phantom is laid at. Tails had found it earlier on and visited Splash Hill to inform Sonic about it. After the two arrived at the island after a brief scuffle with Eggman, Sonic finds the Black Phantom, but gets sealed inside it by Phaton.
Soon after, he ambushes Tails within Angel Island's jungle, trapping him in a small cave while he transforms the island into a grayscale variant with soulless Flickies laid on the ground. Phaton then catches Tails following his discovery of one of the Chaos Emeralds, sending him to Dark Marble Zone. After Tails finds another Chaos Emerald, he bumps into Phaton, and the two have a short fight, which sends Tails off to Phantom Hill Zone. The young fox finds another Chaos Emerald before coming across Phaton again, disguised as Sonic. Making his intentions known, the Phantom Hedgehog begins chasing Tails through the landscape, eventually catching him and knocking him to the ground. Before he could finish Tails off, though, the ground crumbled, sending Tails down to a cavern which led him away from Phaton. But he had to get past Phaton's clones and pyrokinetic powers to truly escape through a warp ring.
Meanwhile, Knuckles had entered Metropolis Zone in search of something that could get the Master Emerald's power going again following recent events. He began searching, and eventually found a Chaos Emerald, but ended up falling into a warp ring created by Phaton, which led right to Mystic Cave Zone. Knuckles, uneasily, went through the cavern, collecting another Chaos Emerald on the way. He then came across Sonic, who was actually Phaton in disguise. After being sent to Ice Cap Zone, Knuckles pursued Phaton and defeated him in combat, escaping through a warp ring like Tails did.
Dr. Eggman had retreated back to his base in Metallic Madness Zone with a Chaos Emerald in tow. He proceeded to reactivate Metal Sonic and head onwards to search for the Master Emerald. After finding a suitable Egg-Mobile and taking off into the skies, he was confronted by Phaton, the doctor immediately realising that it wasn't Sonic in front of him. Before he could attack, though, Phaton sent Eggman into a few illusions, monologuing about Eggman's constant failures to defeat Sonic and revealing his maniacal goals. But he is taken by surprise when Eggman shoots right at him. Phaton retaliates by warping Eggman to the Death Egg without his Egg Mobile. Knowing what to do, Eggman got his newest Death Egg Robot ready and took Phaton on in combat, defeating the Phantom Hedgehog. Knowing the threat is worse than he imagined, Eggman contacts Metal Sonic to prepare an army of Badniks at Marble Zone, before dropping down into the Hidden Palace.
Metal Sonic headed through Marble Zone to activate a Badnik army, collecting a Chaos Emerald on the way, but unsurprisingly, Phaton had beaten him there, and what's more, he had reprogrammed all of Marble Zone's Badniks. But Metal Sonic fought his way through them and deactivated them all, catching Phaton by surprise and setting off for the Hidden Palace.
The two heroes and two villains met up at the Master Emerald Shrine, where they all revealed the Chaos Emeralds they collected. But Tails doubted the odds of their success, recalling all of Phaton's powers. But Phaton himself caught the group by surprise.
Inside the Black Phantom, Sonic unintentionally saw Phaton's origins for himself, frightened at the thought of the Phantom Hedgehog dying. He vows to redeem Phaton, but is still stuck inside the Black Phantom. Back at the Hidden Palace, Phaton deliberately accuses Tails of leading his own best friend to his "inevitable demise", but Knuckles butts in on his mocking. Phaton then transformed into his alternate form, Hellsin, and directly received orders from Talrareth to finish the group off, with Knuckles showing visible confusion, due to the ghost being nowhere in visible sight. But before Phaton could do so, the Chaos Emeralds nullified his powers, so he sent phantom clones of Tails, Knuckles and Eggman to deal with the group, but each character succeeded in defeating their phantom counterparts, much to Phaton's anger. He then proceeded to send Tails and Knuckles to Phantom Reverie, a world created by Phaton where all natural laws are extinct, but is ultimately defeated and forced to retreat.
Sonic.EXE Phantom Beginning Part 2[]
After Tails and Knuckles returned to Green Hill Zone, the Chaos Emeralds had scattered across the area. The two began their search for the Emeralds, but Phaton ambushed them and put them through another test of trials, as a direct act of revenge for his defeat from before. But after sending the two to Aquatic Ruin Zone after a failed attempt to break their courage, he is defeated in a direct fight, sending Tails and Knuckles right to his lair in his fury.
Meanwhile, Eggman and Metal Sonic ended up in a hidden hangar, where they headed out to try and find Tails and Knuckles. They went through a darker version of Scrap Brain Zone, where Phaton caught them and tried to destroy them, eventually deciding he was done with games and sending them to his lair as well.
The group met up again, where Phaton appeared once more and explained his anarchical goals to the group, before challenging them all in combat. Tails, believing that Phaton had to be saved for any hopes of bringing Sonic back, refused to directly wound Phaton, avoiding the phantom's attack and leaving him hanging on the edge of the arena. Tails then reached out for Phaton's hand, hoping to save him. However, Phaton slapped Tails' hand back, refusing to be saved and accepting his fate with an insane smile, falling down into the lava below. The group then leave the lair in order to fix the damage caused by Phaton.
Sonic.EXE Phantom Midpoint (Sonic.EXE DLCs)[]
Sonic.EXE Darkened Phantoms (Phantom Beginning / Darkest Struggles DLC)[]
After Tails, Knuckles, Eggman and Metal Sonic left Phaton's lair, Talrareth resurrected the phantom, saying "Do not fail me again..."
(This part is still WIP)
Sonic the Hedgehog: The Infinite Torture (by CrystalZero)[]
Phaton appears in the first official part of the compilation game, Sonic the Hedgehog: Until Dawn. He meets the demon ExeHell and explains who he is and where he came from (excluding his brainwashing). The two of them team up to attack the Sonic of this demon's dimension until dawn, when Sonic finally falls and is possessed by ExeHell.
Phaton also appears in Sally.EXE Madness of the Lost Souls as the secondary antagonist aiding ExeHell with his killings.
The Worst Future[]
In a lone dimension, Phaton becomes scared of the very demon who had killed every living being in Mobius. SoniKiller was able to exploit his worst fears and almost kill him, but with help from Exrath, he barely escapes with his life.
Glitched Amy: The Beginning (by CoolDude)[]
Among the dimensions Phaton visits, this one in particular catches his eye the most. The demon roaming his dimension, Glitched Amy, seemed to save a deep affection with Phaton. Phaton, at the time, was unaware of her affections, and initially scared of her appearance, clearing it up whenever the two met (explaining why to her later on). Phaton doesn't engage in any killing in this game, but hangs in the background while Glitched Amy does her thing.
Sonic.EXE Nightmare Saga Side-Cutscene / Phaton VS Exetior[]
Phaton and Glitched Amy both secretly enter Exetior's world while he is having a meeting with his servants and Negagen, the former two being unseen as they discuss about the arch-demon. Phaton says that they don't need Exetior's help, considering his goals and the fact that he's already got a lot of help. At this point, he's all set to proceed with his revenge on the heroes that defeated him last time, telling Glitched Amy to go undercover until further orders are issued.
Shortly after, Phaton is caught by Exetior before he can leave, and is thrusted into a fight with the arch-demon. Regardless of the outcome, Exetior offers him a place in his .EXE army following events that happened in the past, and Phaton takes that into consideration but doesn't immediately accept.
Sally.EXE Phantom Discovery Prequel[]
Before proceeding with his revenge scheme, Phaton goes around Mobius, capturing several other Sonic characters (including lesser-known and more-hated ones), as well as a small group of fan characters, imprisoning them in his new base on the undefined island where Sonic Advance 2 takes place. Out of these characters, Shadow is the only one who breaks out early on.
Sally.EXE Phantom Discovery Part 1[]
Phaton begins with pursuing Amy, posing as Sonic himself and getting her to follow him across Beach Coast Zone. He soon warped her into Marble Night Zone, where she collects a black variant of the iconic rings and escapes Phaton's pyrokinetic trap, similar to Tails from before. Phaton catches her by surprise, but gets knocked backwards. He introduces himself and reveals what really happened to Sonic, before attempting to kill Amy after his failed offer for her to join him as his second-in-command. But Knuckles arrives just in time and rescues her. Amy and Knuckles then proceed through Marble Garden Zone, coming across the Black Phantom. Against Knuckles' warning not to, Amy attacked the crystal, getting herself sent to another dimension.
Cream the Rabbit, meanwhile, had visited Studiopolis Zone for a small location with Tails. But after a bit of exploring, the two wonder right into Phaton's trap, the phantom being in his Hellsin form. Tails attempted to attack Phaton, but was easily defeated. Unsure what to do, Cream's confidence immediately surged up (like in the IDW comics) and, angered by Phaton insulting her by calling her "tubby", easily defeats Phaton, forcing him to retreat once again. After helping Tails up, Cream gives her friend a hug before heading inside the Flying Battery, which Eggman had been using as a base ever since Phaton returned. After talking to the doctor, Tails and Cream set off for Press Garden Zone with hang-gliders, where the Black Phantom was. They both attacked it, but only Cream was sent off to another dimension. Tails and Knuckles met up and went back to the Flying Battery, where Eggman sent Metal Sonic out to search for Sally Acorn and ensure her safety.
Sally had been busy searching Chemical Plant to figure out where her friends disappeared to, eventually unintentionally entering Phaton's new lair, the Ruby Factory. She entered a small arena where Metal Sonic was waiting, but they ended up fighting each other out of misunderstanding. Metal Sonic was defeated, and Phaton arrived to explain what happened to Amy and Cream. She questions who Phaton is and what he did with Sonic, which annoys Phaton, as apparently, he already heard the same "flipping hog-wash" so many times. He tries to kill Sally, but Metal Sonic is reawakened from the power of a Chaos Emerald Sally found earlier. He defeats Phaton and escapes back to the Flying Battery, with Phaton banishing Sally to another world himself.
The small group regather their thoughts once more, with Metal Sonic explaining what happened. He then feeds the coordinates for Phaton's lair into the Flying Battery's computer. Tails, initially mad at Phaton, is thrust through his mind into the Black Phantom, where Sonic encourages him and tells him not to give up. But while Tails was in a daze, Phaton had damaged the Flying Battery, sending it falling down and exploding. Tails woke up in time to find that out, and escaped with the others out to the island. They regrouped again and set off to the Ruby Factory through the skies once more.
Sally.EXE Phantom Discovery Part 1.5 / Phaton's Time Trouble (Freedom Planet chapter)[]
Sometime after the events of the original Freedom Planet, but still a while before the upcoming Freedom Planet 2, Phaton goes to the planet Avalice and begins corrupting it, capturing Sash Lilac, Carol Tea, Milla Basset, Commander Torque, and finally Lord Brevon (after an unsuccessful persuasion to join him). He also silences Sonic when he attempts to reason with him.
Sally.EXE Phantom Discovery Part 2[]
This story opens with Phaton ordering many Sonic.EXEs to go out and wreak as much havoc as they please, before turning to a group of lookalikes in one of the rooms.
Amy first ends up within the dimension of Exegod, where she escapes with the Sonic of that timeline from the demon and Phaton, but this Sonic is unaware of her presence. She then ends up within the dimension of Exruby, and after a bit of a race through the demon's Virtual Reality, she meets up with the Tails of that world, who is actually aware of her presence, and they both defeat Exruby before Amy is warped back home. Inside the heart of Phaton's lair, he explains to Lilac about his twisted and insane plans, hoping to turn her into his a Phantomite, a mindless killing being that is directly based on a real person, but with a darker skin tone. He then reveals her captured friends, and refuses to let her go upon Lilac's threat, intensifying the electric barrier she is trapped in. Meanwhile, Shadow seems to be the only one that broke free of Phaton's grasp, and leads Tails, Knuckles, Eggman and Metal Sonic on their way to free the other captured prisoners.
Cream ends up in the timeline of the demon Dexelebeur, where she is unseen by the demon as he pursues his Eggman and Metal Sonic. After helping them escape through the Death Egg's control system, she escapes into a creepier area. She dashes through Dark Forest in her fear, managing to escape to a fight against Executior. This unnerves one of the three human protagonists of the saga, Finn, as it gives him uneasy flashbacks, before a jumpscare from Talrareth.
Phaton is soon distracted by Lilac.EXE, who had killed his predecessor, ExHeller, a while ago. This gives Prince Dail and Spade an opening to free the Avalician prisoners, with Torque slightly damaging the Black Phantom, and the Mobian group releasing their friends before fleeing the inside of the base. After Phaton returns from defeating Lilac.EXE, he finds that all the prisoners had escaped, and gets mad at Antitior and Exruby for failing to catch Amy, telling them to get back to their work. As if his day couldn't get any more haywire, the Black Phantom ends up shattering the heart of Phaton's base, flinging him out to the Ruby Factory, where he is met by Executor, ordered to bring Sally right into his hands, alive.
Sally escapes from Executor's repeated assaults, before discovering the location of Emily, Finn's girlfriend that had died because of Talrareth's influence, and fleeing from the ghost. The three girls finally return back home before Eggman faces Phaton off personally, defeating him with tricks that prove he doesn't have to sit in a flying car to fight. The phantom flees in anger, ready for his final assault.
Sonic the Hedgehog Phantom Finale[]
Following Phaton's defeat against Eggman, Sonic finally manages to get free of the Phantom Ruby, ending up inside Phaton's lair, where the phantom is having a meeting with the EXEs he allied with. He explains how disappointed he is with their failures, acknowledging Exetior's current state and convincing them to work together more, even causing most of them to panic after he threatens to kick them out of his army permanently. When Executior rudely silences Exrath (frightening away two Phantomites in the process), Phaton takes it seriously and warns Executior to keep focused and mind his language, reminding him of the type of dimension they're trying to conquer. This leads to an argument, while Exrath and Executor make a joke about Executior right behind his back, making him even more annoyed. After sending the other EXEs away, he annihilates Executior, banishing him away for disobeying his orders before leaving.
Sonic comes across his friends, as well as the Freedom Planet cast, with Tails initially mistaking him for Phaton in disguise. But Sonic proves who he is before Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, Metal Sonic and Amy are ambushed. Sonic takes this as an opportunity to try and convince Phaton to let go of his twisted ways. This caused him to go into panic and send everyone away to many different areas. He tries to calm down, and convinces his original self (Classic Sonic) to help him, of which the latter finally agrees and fuses with him, therefore granting the former his memories and feelings of remorse. When Phaton attempts to kill himself, Sonic stops him, finally convincing him that there's a chance to fix everything.
Sonic and Phaton soon find the group in a minor daze, and once they're all back on their feet, Knuckles explains that the Master Emerald may be the only way to stop Talrareth, but Phaton brings about worrying news; Talrareth already took it away. Once they all reach the top, Talrareth ambushes the group and transforms the Master Emerald into the Phantom Emerald, in turn shattering Phaton's free will and giving him unlimited power. A long fight ensues at this point, with the heroes eventually emerging victorious as Phaton falls down to possible death. Sonic mourns his failure to save Phaton as the being falls with a smile on his face. However, he hears cruel, mocking voices hating him for who he is. His free will comes flowing back as he begins to cry for the first time in ages, finally falling into a cave underneath Phantom Hill. He confronts SoniKiller, but is completely frightened of him. Before he dies, though, Nitro (Pico's fan character and student to Sonic in the alternate timeline) rescues him, leading him out of the cave into a factory where Talrareth is experimenting on Exesume, a virus that refused all offers for help. Before Phaton and Nitro could directly confront the ghost, Talrareth creates the Phantom Ultimatanium, corrupting the majority of Mobius in the process. Before Talrareth could attempt to finish the two hedgehogs off, though, Sonic races along and rescues them, taking them right back to Green Hill (one of the five regions left uncorrupted) before engaging in an unnecessary argument with his student. It's only Amy's intervention that stops the argument and calms both hedgehogs down.
Following this, Phaton restores all of Avalice's occupants and transports all the surviving Mobians there, where he admits to his crimes and apologises to the Magister for what he did, resolving to help with stopping Talrareth's plan.
Every surviving Mobian (and the members of Avalice, which had its damage reversed by Phaton) prepares for the direct assault on the Phantom Ultimatanium, but after Sonic and Phaton directly confront Talrareth, they are soon defeated, flung right back down to Earth. Talrareth uses this as an opportunity to annihilate all of the survivors, as well as all three of the human protagonists. Phaton, through Finn's mind, saves him from being killed by Talrareth and gives him a fighting chance to save everyone.
After Phaton wakes up back in Mobius, he carries Sonic all the way to the Hidden Palace, with aid from long lost human souls, and transforms himself into Phantom Phaton, fighting alongside Super Sonic in their final conflict against Talrareth. Before Phaton finishes Talrareth off, he witnesses the ghost's past, and is initially hesitant to destroy Talrareth, but the ghost's words and expression said it all.
After Talrareth died, Phaton reverted back to how he was before the events of the Phantom Saga, looking identical to the real Sonic, but with purple-ish fur, lighter skin and darker eyes, as if he was older than Sonic. After the human souls return home to Earth, Phaton has a bit of a giggle at Sonic's joke towards Eggman, who is planning on forgetting what happened and continuing his evil schemes.
Mid-Way between Phantom and SoniKiller Sagas[]
Following the events of the Phantom Saga, Phaton regains his former powers and appearance using the remains of the shattered Black Phantom, with the addition of complete free will. He sides with the growing EXE army that Exetior and Exeller are in charge of, proving he isn't a dumb rip-off. He also finally finds it in his heart to show affections towards Glitched Amy. However, his efforts are in vain after he discovers that the true .EXE leader, Lord X, is killed off somehow.
Sonic.EXE Round 3: One Last Game (Post-Good Ending Scene)[]
Sometime later, Phaton catches sight of Exetior watching VHS tapes of Sonic's fight against the original Sonic.EXE, commenting on how he misses when Exetior was like that (referencing the old Nightmare Beginning). He attempts to warn Phaton about a bigger threat, but Exetior sees it for himself, concluding that he's not directly fit to lead the EXEs following Lord X's death, passing that role onto Phaton, Antitior, Sonath (Monster of Mobius) and Exrath.

Personality[]
“ | Do I look like the kind of guy who has a plan? I’ll tell you the kind of guy I am. I enjoy dunking decapitated heads in thermite. I like watching people struggle with their internal demons as they fail to comprehend the wider picture. I get a kick out of beating up the carcasses of my victims as their flayed flesh fly and splat on the wall. You are merely my newest form of entertainment. I’m not a planner, I’m just… differently sane. | „ |
~ Phaton admitting his sadism to a captive Lilac. |
Phaton is portrayed as the incarnation of utter chaos, disbelief, psychopathy, determination, persistence, and nihilism. Phaton was a monster who relished in his villainy with no hint of regret or remorse, his lack of guilt allowed him to pass the levels of cruelty and evolve into a torturous, bloodthirsty, and sadistic maniac. Phaton was incredibly flamboyant, exuberant, confident, extravagant and showman-like, harbouring the spotlight at any given chance and being recognized for the bloodthirsty maniac he is. Phaton was increasingly unstable with a cold, dark, twisted sense of humour accompanied by unbalanced and manic giggling and laughter, always smiling with sadism. He enjoyed inflicting pain and death onto others without remorse with a completely joyous attitude, all whilst his hubris and flamboyancy increased with every murder.
Phaton possessed a very amoral view on life, while his philosophy (nihilism) is nothing new, he takes things to the extreme by trying to force this idea upon others to make them seem as insane as he is, viewing his philosophy as "the right way to live". Although he acknowledges his malicious behavior and evil acts, Phaton didn't view himself as evil, nor good, but instead on a higher level than everyone else. On top of that, his belief in his philosophy being truthful has made him distant and slightly deluded. Whilst not valuing anyone else's life, Phaton didn't even value his own life and was willing to let himself fall to his death to further torment Tails, knowing that they wouldn't be able to find Sonic without him. Some of Phaton's more bizarre behavior was due to him being a natural thrill-seeker who actively sought danger to have fun, and was always excited by a challenge.
Phaton was ready to enact on his ambitions with no pre-planning, adding to his sheer ruthlessness was his homicidal instincts, animalistic behavior and great intellect. Phaton was extremely cunning and quite deceptive, being able to partially manipulate Amy in his Sonic guise, and having intimate knowledge on Mobius' locations and structures.
Despite his intelligence and power hungry nature, Phaton's fatal flaw was his incredibly inflated ego. Due to his immense power and supernatural abilities, Phaton began to possess a superiority complex, viewing himself above others due to his views on life and delusional sense of what he believed was true. Phaton was also not a fan of others who didn't appeal to his standards, demonstrated numerous times throughout the games when interacting with his attempted victims, calling their way of living 'wrong' due to not conforming to his philosophy. This also made him virtually un-cooperative for people who tried to get to/or reason with him due to how flamboyant, eccentric and arrogant Phaton was. Phaton was also hypocritical and very temperamental and wouldn't tolerate the arrogance of others despite his own narcissistic nature. He demonstrates this when he loses his temper with Executior and deeming him too mentally unstable and arrogant, despite Phaton's own egotism and mental instability. He is also unable to do anything to spirits and ghosts like Cosmo, as proved when he fails to capture her within an electrical barrier and gets short-tempered when she deliberately teases him and fools him into causing technical damage.
However, during his short time with Sonic during the revelation, it was picked up that Phaton was more curious than his counterpart, but still retaining his optimistic, loyal, and friendly demeanor prior to his corruption.
Following his redemption, Phaton becomes a kind and caring individual who actively defends his friends and allies from tyrants such as SoniKiller. During the SonicAllStars.EXE saga (in Pico's headcanon), he supports SonicClone in his mission to track down SoniKiller and halt his plans for world domination. He also proves himself to be a strong leader when trying to fix problems.

“ | But now, I’m too far gone to PERMANENTLY go back to what I once was, and if my friends see me like this again they’ll never forgive me for all that I’ve done… I’m tired of pretending to be someone I’m not. Trivia[]
- As confirmed by one of the co-writers of the Phantom Saga's story, MrSurge, Phaton's personality was heavily inspired by that of the Joker from The Dark Knight, due to their nihilistic tenancies and flair for the dramatic.
- Several scenes are inspired by other media, such as the Undertale web comic, Timetale, and with minor references to NES Godzilla as well.
- Phaton is one of the only newer Sonic.EXEs to be redeemed.
- The aforementioned cutscene related to Exetior, as well as the subsequent fight, are only in place to acknowledge the arch-demon's existence, due to his physical absence in the majority of the game.
- Surprisingly, Phaton is also one of the few Sonic.EXEs to actually acknowledge the fact that he's been ripped off countless times by individuals such as EvilSonicGamer.
- He is also entirely aware of the fact of Devy transferring ownership of the Phantom Saga, directly mentioning it to the players at the start of Phantom Saga Plus.
- He also makes his point that the game is nowhere near a rip-off of any other game, and that a good number of ideas are completely original, with references about in places.
- He seems to like Just Shapes and Beats, as his major theme song is Annihilate by Destroid.
- This is first evident in Phantom Beginning Classic's Worst Ending Final Boss, when said song plays during the first phase of the fight.
