Sheldon J. Plankton is the main protagonist of the BOI WHAT music universe. He is the owner of the Chum Bucket who desires the Krabby Patty secret formula, turning to world domination after creating the Neon Tide.
Personality[]
Plankton was initially highly aggressive and power-hungry, wanting nothing more than to have the secret formula and take revenge on Bikini Bottom for humiliating him. He later decides to take over Bikini Bottom using the Neon Tide, relishing in the chaos he'll cause and further talking down on Bikini Bottom for falling for his AI.
However, his words imply he didn't create the Neon Tide out of malice, instead having good intentions. This leads him to become aggressive when the citizens of Bikini Bottom turn against him in fear of the damage his actions and creations end up causing, and in turn becoming the enemy once more. This makes him miserable, as he feels that everyone else is ungrateful for the sacrifices he says he made, so he embraces his role as the villain. This increases his misery, as he ends up isolated with no choice but to push double down on his antagonism.
Biography[]
Taking over Bikini Bottom[]
Plankton starts Plan Z to gain the Krabby Patty secret formula and to seek retribution against everyone who opposed him, Mr. Krabs included, killing or brainwashing as he sees fit. Plankton then creates an A.I known as the Neon Tide, stated to "do more damage than Plan Z" by blurring the lines between reality and fiction, and having everyone rely on it for convenience, giving him indirect control over everyone.
Introspection and revolt[]
Plankton begins to think about his actions and how he'll be remembered, indicating he had good intentions for creating the Neon Tide. Despite this, the vast damage he caused ends up turning everyone against him. Sandy starts a rebellion to fight his rule of Bikini Bottom, confronting him for his actions. He suggests he shares her motive of wanting to save everyone from doom, though with different means of force, wanting to have everyone join his Neon Tide.
Role of the villain[]
Plankton laments about how everyone sees him as the enemy despite his well-intentioned behavior. He reaffirms his aggression towards the resistance, deciding to drop all pretenses of mercy. Him embracing his reputation and role as the enemy makes him miserable, leading him to vent that he feels he's sacrificed everything to make the Neon Tide only to end up shunned.
