Prince Charming Fortuna, better known as Prince Charming or simply Charming, is the main antagonist of the YouTube Poop called Shrek the Turd, which is a mere parody of Shrek the Third. He is an arrogant, delusional, deranged, petty and childish monarch who wishes to cause Shrek's death just so he can usurp him and become the new king of Far Far Away by Princess Fiona's side. Charming is also the son of the Fairy Godmother, Fiona's former love interest and Shrek and Arthur's archenemy.
He was voiced by Rupert Everett.
Biography[]
Charming essentially makes his first appearance when he plays himself at a theatre due to his name. He then orders his horse to run faster so he can kill Maleficent (in her dragon form), but Maleficent stops him by attacking him with her fire breath. Then, Gingy cheekily says that he hates Prince Charming, and Charming snaps by telling Gingy to "shut the fuck up". He also goes as far as insulting Gingy, to which Gingy responds with "Fuck you!". Afterwards, Charming vows to kill a monster (who is actually Shrek) and take his place as king, and he says this with a smug smile on his face as he puts on sunglasses and a Burger King crown. Someone in the audience says that Prince Charming stinks, and everyone starts laughing at him. This makes Prince Charming very angry and he considers murdering everyone in cold blood by stabbing one person at a time with his sword.
Then, Shrek is introduced to the show and Charming prepares to attack him. However, just before Charming can strike, a castle prop falls onto him which leads to Charming getting embarrassed in front of everyone. Before leaving the theatre, Charming swears that one day, Shrek will regret what he has done. Then, Charming goes backstage and sobs at his misfortune while Hank Hill (from King of the Hill) cruelly mocks and torments him. Then, Charming gets up and a newspaper flies onto his face, and much to his surprise, the newspaper talks about YouTube Poop being dead due to Shrek's actions. After this happens, Charming vows to kill Shrek out of sheer spite and sadism.
Then, Prince Charming insults Rumpelstiltskin by calling him "Grumpypigskin". After that, Rumpelstiltskin proceeds to correct Charming by rightfully pronouncing his name.
Near the end of the video, Charming sets up a play in a public theatre and he chains up Shrek onstage in front of hundreds of people. Then, Charming calls Shrek a "foul beast" and says that his time is done, implying that Charming is about to kill Shrek. However, Arthur (also known as Artie) gets involved and joins Shrek's side, and Charming forces the two boys to face off against him in a gunfight which takes place in the Wild West. Charming tries to shoot Shrek, but Shrek is thankfully able to save his own life by dodging the bullet. After failing to kill Shrek, Charming changes his mind and makes an attempt to shoot Arthur and kill him. However, just before he can, Shrek shoots him in the head, which results in Charming screaming in utter pain before his demise.
Later, Charming is buried alive and is permanently (and luckily) dead.
Personality[]
Much like in the original Shrek franchise, Prince Charming is a selfish and arrogant mother's boy who tries to look good. He's immature and childish because he quickly gets angry, especially when things don't go as he wanted.
Charming is also brutal, as he tried to kill Shrek and Arthur in a gunfight. He is also disgustingly petty, as he thought about killing dozens of innocent people in a public theatre all because someone did not like his performance onstage.
However, Charming is not completely devoid of humanity, as he sheds tears when he gets embarrassed during his show and when he thinks about his mother. Also, Charming possesses care for not only his mother (the Fairy Godmother), but he also cares for his horse and is never shown abusing him.

- While the original version of Prince Charming (from the Shrek films) has several redeeming qualities, this version of him is less redeemable and is much more cruel, petty and vulgar in the YouTube Poop. However, Charming still retains a few comedic moments.
