Princess Celestia is the main antagonist of the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fanfiction, Princess, which was written by Daydreams Darkly.
Just like her canon counterpart, she is the ruler of Equestria and the teacher of Twilight Sparkle, but unlike the canon counterpart, she is a power-hungry alicorn who attempted to destroy the universe out of spite. She is the archenemy of her former student due to her killing the latter's friends.
Appearance[]
She looks just like her canon counterpart: she is a white alicorn with a sharp, glimmering horn longer than any other normal unicorn and wings with the color of her coat. She has a striped pink, purple, green, and blue mane and tail that moves even when there is no wind. Her eyes are light grayish magenta and has a sun-based cutie mark.
As Umbrae Nocte, she has elongated limbs and a horn twice as sword-like as her former appearance. She also has a dark coat, with wings that look like miniature solar flares made of dark flames, and molten-gold armor constantly moving around her body. She also has her mane and tail completely made out of fire and eyes that have dark points with no light at all.

Background[]
At some unknown part of time, the Elements of Harmony had put Celestia and Luna into the position they formerly had today. It was around that time that they had committed genocide against Discord's kingdom and his race for their disorderly ways of living, with them using the elements to turn Discord into stone who, being the ruler of his race, has the same immortality as the two princesses.
Princess[]
After being alarmed by Twilight's transformation into an alicorn and realizing that the rest of the Mane Six were going to do the same as Twilight and become new princesses of Equestria due to the Elements of Harmony deciding that the Celestia and Luna's rule must come to an end, she raced to Ponyville with a legion of guards with her to stop their transformations by brutally killing them, with her telling the guards to hold Twilight Sparkle back to not interfere with the killings. She tells Twilight after she killed them that this would happen to anypony who tries to overthrow her and her sister. She would then telekinetically lift Twilight into eye-level after the latter tries to kill her, telling her ways of how to torture Twilight for eternity, mocking her in the process for her own "stupidity," telling her that she is too dumb to save her friends while laughing before getting some shards of Twilight's horn ring into her eye when Twilight teleported away from her.
She would then kidnap and imprisoned her former student's friend's family (the Apples, Rarity's family, etc.) and slanders Twilight's name to the citizens of Equestria, saying that she had killed her friends, used magic to disguise herself as an alicorn and overall tried to overthrow Celestia and make the Equestrians turn against her, even though those claims are not true. She would then have her guards to post wanted posters of Twilight Sparkle as well as announcing the execution the execution of Twilight's family out of spite, even though they hadn't done nothing wrong. It is also implied that she used this announcement to lure Twilight out of hiding. She, alongside her sister, had used their magic to create an anti-long-distance-teleportation barrier around Equestria, forcing Twilight to fly to the destinations she needed to go.
The next day, she steps out of the balcony of the Canterlot Castle, alongside her sister, to meet the ponies in the Royal Square. She then begins a speech, speaking of the" crimes" Twilight Sparkle has committed and saying how much of a threat she really is, thus being the reasons why Twilight's family are going to be executed; it is because of their ties with the "criminal." She then had the guards to bring out the prisoners and chain up Twilight's mother, father, and her assistant, Spike. She had them go onto their respective guillotine and was telling the crowd words of her being with them and Equestria being strong to comfort their fears when Twilight reveals herself. During Twilight's assault against the royal guards, the citizens were trying to escape but are caught in a magical barrier made by Celestia herself who wanted them to "see the execution of the criminal." Stepping off the balcony, she would fly to watch Twilight with hatred all while mocking her by calling her her "faithful student," and gloating that she would never defeat her and her sister. She gawked as she sees that Twilight has the elements but composes herself, saying that she would never learn how to use the, that without the other bearers her "faithful student" cannot defeat the royal sisters.
When Twilight reveals the truth behind the Mane Six's murders, Celestia had a rant that she always sees her the citizens of Equestria as weak since her and her sister are alicorns and said that they will go home after she killed Twilight to tell the tale of her destroying the "evil that was Twilight Sparkle." She would then panic seeing that Twilight had freed Discord, seeing the rage in his eyes, backing away when seeing Discord mutilating Luna by breaking off her horn and using it as ice cream cone. She would then respond to Discord's claims that the elements would stop her by saying that it won't work unless the other bearers are here since she had killed them but one, only realizing that while she killed them, she never get rid of them completely. She struggled to get free from Discord's grip on her and her sister as she is blasted away by the Elements, seemingly gone.
However, it turns out it was an illusion, as it came crashing down revealing the sisters holding Twilight's family hostage with a protective shield around them to protect themselves from the Element's powers, gloating that she was glad Twilight had wasted the element's powers as it would take a while to recharge, perfect for her. She would then threaten to kill Twilight's family if she surrendered, secretly planning to kill them anyway. She saw that she was even with Twilight, as she couldn't kill her family nor let them live, al while trying to manipulate her into turning against Discord. She would then see something strange with Twilight seeing her smile, questioning on why she would do this when Celestia won, stopping Luna's gloating in the process, shocked that Twilight had learned how to undo the anti-long-distance-teleportation barrier with one spell. She would then order Luna to kill Twilight's family, only to find that they were gone as Twilight had teleported them into a long-distance location safe from the next event.
She and her sister would then attempt to flee only to smack against the barrier Celestia had created that trapped her and her sister with the subjects, trying to kick it to be free with no success while Twilight lecture on her lesson on the magic she made. Celestia would then try to coerce Twilight into not moving or else she and her sister would kill the surrounding citizens only for them to be safely teleported by Twilight just like what she had done to her parents. She then asked what her former student wants, willing to face the Elements again to kill Twilight, and Twilight responded that she wanted them to be brought to justice, with Celestia not sure what to do. Twilight would then force the two sisters into a portal she created into the Sun despite their efforts to run away, but not before Celestia had pulled Twilight into the portal and force her near the sun.
She would then turn into a grotesque creature named Umbrae Nova and would try to attack Twilight with her newfound powers of the sun out of grief over the loss of her sister who had been burned by the sun. It would end with her being encased by one of the solar flare bubbles, seemingly killing her. However, it would only make her angrier and continued the chase, burning some of Twilight's fur in the process and setting Equestria on fire. It ended with both of their horns connected and exploded. Umbrae Nova would emerge from the explosion, becoming the sun itself and thus becoming stronger as a result. It would expand and consumed some inner planets, with her declaring that the sun would be give out light no more and thus would end the universe, consuming all, turning herself into a black hole to end everything, becoming Aeterna Nocte in the process. She would finally meet her demise when she dies in an unknown death as reality was forcefully stitched by Twilight, with her silent screams of death lost in the void beyond the universe.
Personality[]
In contrast to her canon version, this version of Celestia is shown to be selfish, as she attempted to have all threats be killed to keep her power. She also did not care for almost anyone but herself, as she kicked her victims when they're dead and did not mind the deaths of the guards she brought to the massacre, as she did not mention them in the slightest when mocking Twilight. She is also dishonorable, as she attempted to kill Twilight's parents even after promising they're be sparred if Twilight turned herself in.
She is also quite petty, as when she killed Discord's entire race simply for them not being right in Equestria. She is also spiteful as she attempted to have Twilight's family executed even though they had done nothing wrong. Nevertheless, she is also intelligent, as she tricked Discord and Twilight into blasting her illusions counterpart away, thus wasting the powers of the Elements. She is also a coward, like when she attempted to run away when being faced with a genuine threat without a second thought. She can also gloat, as when she revealed that the ones Twilight and Discord attacked are illusions, she is seen proud of what she did, though not as much as Luna when she sees Twilight smiled when sisters come close into getting their goals.
When turned into Umbrae Nova/Aeterna Nocte, she is more angry as she attempted to kill Twilight almost without a second thought, while also being spiteful as when she thought it would be impossible to kill Twilight, she attempted to give out no light if it means to kill Twilight and endangering the universe. Though just like her canon version, she still loves her sister Luna as her death is one of the main motivations for doing all the crimes as mentioned above.
