Professor Cypress is the main antagonist of the now-deleted 2015 Roblox RPG, Pokemon Brick Bronze. He is the professor who helps the protagonist begin their journey, but in reality, he is the leader of Team Eclipse who plans to destroy Roria to create a world for Pokemon.
Appearance[]
Professor Cypress is an adult with brown hair who typically wears a suit with a blue tie and black slacks. He also wears a pair of glasses. When he wears his Eclipse Boss outfit, he can be seen in a black and orange coat with yellowish lines, paired with orange pants and a shirt.
Biography[]
In Mitis Town's lab, Professor Cypress presents the player and their rival Jake with their first Pokémon. Meanwhile, the player's parents have a conversation with the professor while the two rivals battle it out. After leaving Mitis Town, Jake catches up with the player and invites them to his house where Professor Cypress is waiting. There, the professor reveals that Team Eclipse has kidnapped the player's parents and explains everything about the situation.
Upon arriving at Cheshma Town, Linda, a member of Team Eclipse who was sent by Professor Cypress, tricked the player into coming to her house and stole their necklace. However, due to the bridge being under construction, the player was forced to fight Linda to retrieve their necklace.
Upon reaching Brimber City, it was revealed that Cypress had dispatched Harry and a group of Team Eclipse members to awaken Groudon and capture the legendary Pokémon. However, the plan backfired when Harry ran away like a coward after Groudon roared at him. It's also possible that Cypress led a charge toward Rosecove City in an attempt to capture Kyogre, but this also failed because of the player's actions.
After obtaining their third gym badge, Professor Cypress confronted the player and "apologized" for what happened to them in Cheshma Town because of his so-called friend Linda. During the apology, Cypress revealed what Team Eclipse had done to Roria in the past. However, he referred to Linda as a "strange woman" despite the fact that she was one of the few members of Team Eclipse.
Eventually In Anthian City, Professor Cypress revealed himself to be Team Eclipse's boss and the mastermind behind all of the events, also stating his "tragic" backstory of him only having pokemon as his friend and that no one wanted to be his and after becoming a pokemon professor he realized how the humans are treating the pokemon and decides to dedicate his life into creating Team Eclipse and trying to capture Hoopa, When Eclipse Admin Tyler comes out of Anthian Sewer and reports to Cypress, he reveals that he ordered Tyler to plant a bomb in the power core as well to obliterate the entire floating city by blowing up its core. Unable to suppress the rage anymore, Tess yells at Cypress by calling him a terrorist and forces him to fight the player in a Pokemon battle.
After losing the battle, Cypress taunted the player before giving them the key to Anthian City's core and boarding Team Eclipse's spacecraft. However, his plan backfired again when the player, assisted by two Temporal Pokémon, prevented the event from happening in the future by defeating Eclipse Admin Tyler.
Many events occurred after the attempted destruction of Anthian City, such as Jake's betrayal and the attempted racketeering on the Aredia Gym Leader's base. The player then infiltrated Team Eclipse's base to prevent Professor Cypress from awakening Hoopa.
In the Demon's Tomb, where Hoopa was imprisoned, the player met Cypress again. Cypress confirmed that he knew the player had the Bronze Brick necklace since Linda's attack at Cheshma Town. He rambled on more about his plans with Hoopa, with the other three Eclipse Admins standing beside him in front of the incomplete portal to summon Hoopa. He ordered Tyler to boot up the portal, causing the player's Bronze Brick to be ripped off towards the portal, unlocking Hoopa's tomb.
Cypress threw the Prison Bottle into the portal, summoning Hoopa Unbound. Not wanting the player to get in his way, he challenged the player to a Pokemon battle.
As he was losing the battle, he decided to take drastic action and asked Hoopa to create a portal to another dimension. However, in the chaos, Jake grabbed Cypress and threw him into the portal. It is unclear what happened to Cypress after being banished somewhere in the portal, following the tomb's destruction.

- He is loosely inspired by Lysandre and Ghetsis, as all three of them oppose humanity for their misdeeds, and desire to destroy them and start over with a new world.
- Like all the other professors, He's named after a variety of trees.
