Pumbaa Sabella is a supporting antagonist in All Worlds Alliance Missions: Negima!. Pumbaa is a transplanted character from XP4Universe's (Marcus the Kane's) notebook comic The Black Pearl, which takes place in the same universe as AWA, as Harle Kingdom makes a major appearance. He serves as the main antagonist of Chapter 13: A Day in the Amusement Part Pt 3, having been hired by the Apostles to target Negi Springfield.
Appearance[]
Pumbaa is a brown-furred, anthropomorphic warthog with a big head, dark eyes, and little tusks. He is dressed in brown leather shoes, brown pants, and a brown vest over a white polo shirt.
In AWA fics, his appearance is completely different from his original one, resembling more like Bebop from TMNT. Pumbaa has a white tusk, purple hair in a mohawk, red skin, and yellow eyes. He is dressed in dark leather leggings, spiky boots, and a black leather jacket over a yellow shirt.
Personality[]
Pumbaa is vicious and diabolical, as he callously does not care about harming others, stopping at nothing to achieve his goals. It also befits his wild card nature as his affiliation to the Apostles remained nebulous.

All Worlds Alliance[]
In All Worlds Alliance Missions: Negima!, Pumbaa is an assassin who was hired by the Apostles of the New World to target 10-year-old Negi Springfield within Harle Amusement Park as a reward. However, unknown to him, the students are allied with the AWA and they immediately suspected his appearance, causing him to run away, while beating up several police officers who wanted to arrest him.
Negi and Kuu, later with Setsuna Sakurazaki's help, as well as with Tsukuru Kagaku, Duo Maxwell and Satomi Hakase confronted the hybrid criminal attacking Negi and Kuu. While Pumbaa was able to overpower Negi and Kuu, Duo's intervention quickly turned the tide as he sprayed him with perfume to his eyes, causing Pumbaa to be blinded, before going back to attacking the group across the park.
Despite Duo failing to use Tsukuru's experimental de-aging drug, Negi finally managed to defeat Pumbaa by injecting him with the drug, causing him to turn into a ten-year-old, to Pumbaa's shock and much to Tsukuru's delight. Negi retaliated against his now-de-aged assassin with a single blow to his head, knocking out the assassin. The officers soon arrested him, with his fate remaining unknown at the end.
Abilities[]
As a Warthog hybrid, Pumbaa is extremely strong as he was able to deal with police officers, as well as Negi and Kuu by himself. He is also skilled in firearms and knives. In AWA fics, he is seen using a Morning Star.
Trivia[]
- Pumbaa's first name is based on Pumbaa himself from the Lion King. His surname Sabella is a reference to Pumbaa's voice actor Ernie Sabella.
