| ~ Quackity tries to defend his decision to torture Dream |
Quackity is a major antagonist of Dream SMP fanfic atlas in his resolve. He is a cruel, manipulative and power-hungry individual who, after establishing Las Nevadas, set his sights on gaining even more power, respect and control in the server, eventually getting into a conflict with youtuber Clay who was transferred in Dream SMP as his character, Dream.
History[]
Quackity makes his first appearance in the story by encountering Sapnap and Clay and mistaking the latter for Dream. When Sapnap explains the situation, Quackity wonders was he trying to replace him with Clay. Before he could leave, Clay convines Sapnap to ask Quackity about the prison. Quackity lies that he has no idea what's happening to Dream, but Clay's reaction gives Sapnap enough information to realise that he's lying.
Later during the raid on Pandora's Vault to retrieve Dream, Quackity corners Clay, again mistaking him for Dream. When Technoblade arrives and threatens Quackity with his weapon, he informs him that his allies managed to capture Philza and ready to kill him. However, before he could do something, Clay manages to use his trident and ender pearl to escape, distracting Quackity and forcing him to follow him to the nether. When Quackity and Sam arrive to the nether, Clay uses ender pearl to throw zombie piglin at them, forcing Sam to insitinctively attack it, angering all mobs nearby. Enraged by this, Quackity abandons his ally to continue chasing Clay. When his enemy falls from the cliff and lands on top of a ghast, Quackity, after a brief shock, attempts to shoot at him from crossbow. Missing two times, he tries to reload, only to be pushed into lava by Philza.
Later, after Quackity respawned, Dream, desite Clay's attempts to talk him down and convince to not do this, decided to get his revenge on Quackity for torturing him. To do this, he and Punz set TNT across Las Nevadas and blew it up to break him down first. When Quackity frees himself from their trap and sees the destruction, Dream lies that they killed everyone he cared about, before killing him with Retribution. However, Clay felt that and used his powers to resurrect him. After that, Quackity was abandoned by vengeful Purpled, Fundy who felt that he doesn't need to help him anymore, and Slimecicle for manipulating him into being his friend.
Informing the other players about his resurrection, Quackity later encountered Tommy and told him about his situation. During their discussion, Quackity found out that Clay shares the appearance and voice with Dream and that he may has the admin powers too. Intrigued by this, he decides to use this information for his own goal.
Later, Quackity encounters Clay on top of Pandora's Vault and, to test his theory, slashes his throat with Legacy. Witnessing Clay's resurrection and realising that he has admin powers too, he starts tormenting him in order to figure out the secret of revival. When Sapnap, Punz, Technoblade and Philza surround him, Quackity threatens to kill Clay, making Technoblade sarcastically remind him that Clay can't die. Desperately trying to find a way out, he threatens to kill Clay's cat Patch. Clay then reveals that he don't have the revival book, while the other four players attack Quackity and kill him, but not before he stabs Patch to death. Broken by his pet's death, Clay snaps, turns into a giant monster and starts destroying the server.
Quackity, among with other players, was teleported to the unknown coordinates, where he was attacked by enraged Tommy and Sapnap who call him out for tormenting Clay. After that he was mocked by revived JSchlatt who wonders if he, at least, managed to turn the whole server against him with style. When Puffy finds out that Quackity tormented Dream in prison and questions him about it, he tries to defend himself by saying that he wanted to ensure that death won't be permanent on this server and throws Awesamdude under the bus by revealing that he helped him. After all the players see their previous lives and find out why Dream decided to reunite the whole server no matter what, Dream comes up with an idea to go the end of the world for XD's help and asks others to trust him. When other start agreeing, Quackity tries to talk them down, but Dream explains that he doesn't force them and, if they want, they can stay here, as long as they won't try to ruin his plan. When Quackity ends up being the last person in the original bubble, Dream explains that he will save him too, but only if he will beg him. He does so and, after Dream agrees, tries to go in his bubble, but it prevents him, surprising Dream and terrifying Quackity and making him plead for mercy. When Clay comes to them, Dream tries to calm him down and let him take Quackity away, but instead Clay devours Quackity alive, deleting his essence and permanently killing him.
