Queen Chrysalis is the titular main protagonist turned main antagonist of the fanfic Story of Villains: Queen Chrysalis, and secondary antagonist of Story of Villains: King Sombra.
She was once a beloved Alicorn. She was killed. She is then revived by King Sombra. She soon became a love-stealling monster who nearly conquered Equestria.

Past Life[]
Long ago, before the founding of Equestria, Chrysalis was the Alicorn of Nature. She gave plants and crops to the other Alicorns. She wanted world domination, but the kindness she was getting from the other Alicorns had kept her from turning evil. She was also both jealous and impressed with Celestia, who was a young filly at the time. They chatted with each other on many occasions. Celestia even tells her about her new born baby sister, Luna.
One day, Chrysalis told Celestia that she had to go to Flutter-Valley. The Flutter-Ponies had given her a message for help. Once she arrives, she sees them being attacked by two Dark Crystallized Dragons. She noticed one of the dragons had tears in their eyes. She comes up with the plan to use the FLutter-Ponies love magic to purify it. The plan works and the two Crystallized Dragons engaged in battle leaving Flutter-Valley. However, this victory was cut short when everyone was ambushed and killed by Grogar and his monsters.
Changeling Queen birth[]
They all come back to life as Changelings by Cobalt. He promises to give Queen Chrysalis what she wants if she helps him, even threatening to take the resurrected Changelings lives away again. He also tells them to call him Sombra. The darkness in Chrysalis' heart had now fully taken over.
She finds where the Founders of Equestria are hiding and captures them. Later, the Changelings bring them to Sombra. He congradulates them and lets them go free to do whatever they pleased. They go and attack all the ponies.
They wreaked havoc and destruction amongst them all. Just then, Star Swirl the Bearded appeared and fought back against the Changelings. He then defeated them by trapping them all in a tree. Although, he didn't know that was where the Dark Crystallized Dragon had died.
Equestria take over[]
Chrysalis eventrually freed herself alongside the other Changelings. They then started attacking many different kingdoms for love and gain more power. She soon finds Discord and decides to manipulate him into causing chaos across Equestria.
She returns home and tells her children that she gave them an opportunity to obtain an immense amount of food and power. Once more, they terrorized the populous. She and Discord were laugh together when they heared Princesses Celestia and Luna fighting off the Changelings. Queen Chrysalis fights back and she is trapped in Tartarus and stone. While her children trapped in a faraway mountain.
Aftermath[]
The stone spell wears off after over 1,000 years. She manages to escape and is the reason Cerberus ran into Ponyville. Chrysalis tries to sense for her children’s presence and finds them trapped in a mountain. She breaks open the mountain and frees her children and they regroup at the hive. She soon arrives at Canterlot in secret to see Shining Armor preposing to Princess Cadance.
She then returns to the hive and tells her children about the plan. She creates a threat against Canterlot, which causes Princess Celestia to have Shining Armor remain in the city. He puts up a magical protective bubble around it. Chrysalis gets through, captures Cadance, and pretend to be her. Her plan soon fails.
After they regroup in the Changeling hive, Queen Chrysalis starts expressing her anger that their plan failed. She soon starts losing care for her own children. They were all soon able to ambush the biggest threats to her. Chrysalis’ plan once more fails as Thorax shares his love with her and caused all the other Changelings to share love to. Chrysalis refuses to change and voles revenge on Starlight and flies away.
She creates evil clones of the Mane 6 in order to control the Elements of Harmony and make a new hive, but that plan also fails.
She is soon transported by 'Grogar' in order to work with Tirek and Cozy Glow and take over Equestria together. She knew who Grogar was, but she didn’t realize he was the one to kill her. although she didn’t want to bother with teaming up, she decides to take the opportunity to take back control and accept the team up. They retrieve Grogar’s Bewitching Bell and she comes up with the plan to betray Grogar.
She brings back the hatred of the different tribes to make sure that friendship isn’t used on them. She gets the chance to defeat Starlight and all of Twilight’s friends. When she sees the Windigo’s return, she wants to let them turn Equestria into a frozen wasteland and let whatever ones are left alive so they can be praised. Friendship returns and defeats them and they are all turned to stone.
Appearance[]
When she was an Alicorn, was a tall Alicorn with green skin, green eyes, a dark purple mane and tail, and her cutie mark was a ladybug with leaves.
Once revived, she is exacully like her canon counterpart, she is a black chitin, sharp fangs, a pair of insectoid wings, holes in her legs, and no visible cutie-mark.
Personality[]
When she was an Alicorn, she was very kind, giving plants and crops to the other Alicorns. Unlike Cobalt, although she had darkness in her heart. The kindness she was getting from everyone around her, she had that balance that kept her from letting the darkness turn her evil. She was also both jealous and impressed with Celestia. They were even seen as best friends.
Once revived, like her canon counterpart, she is manipulative, sadistic, cruel, and merciless. She enjoys the suffering and misery her actions tend to cause others.
She might be a little more evil than her canon counterpart due to being more murderous and darker. Also, she was the one to manipulate Discord.
