The RED Soldier is the main antagonist of the Team Fortress 2 machinima A Granary Adventure: The Underdog Story by xlr105.
Biography[]
After the Clan Stackers lay waste to an entire team, their leader begins to congratulate them. However, a spy notices one pyro still lived, prompting the crew to give chase. The Pyro soon notices a teleporter and makes his way to it as a Sniper prepares to shoot him. However, the Soldier shoves the Sniper aside wanting to kill the Pyro himself. However, his rocket doesn't reach the Pyro in time as the Pyro is teleported to an unknown location. Refusing to let even one live, the Soldier demands engineer to hack the teleporter to find out where the Pyro disappeared to.
Upon learning the Pyro arrived in Granary, the Clan Stackers quickly made their way there and began to kill anybody they saw at the Soldier's orders. However, a small group that the Pyro met and befriended manage to turn the tides by wiping out a squadron. One Scout from said squadron informs THE Soldier that they were ambushed. Agitated, the Soldier kills the Scout and orders his men to take defensive action.
As the Granary Team work toward retaking Granary from the Clan Stackers, the Soldier sends out as many of his best troops to kill them all. He even revives the Pyro's old friend Aleksander and turns the heavy over to the side of the Stackers. With how powerful the Soldier's crew is, the Granary team realize they will need help and work toward calling for backup. Noticing this, the Soldier sends a Spy and a BLU medic to infiltrate and sabotage their effort to call for help. However, this is foiled, and the last line of defense is breached.
As the BLU Team make their way to the end, getting past the RED Soldier's troops, the Soldier leaves his men to handle them while the BLU Team get help from another team. After the Soldier's team is wiped out, the Soldier steps in and singlehandedly wipes out the assisting team, revealing he was never worried about defeat while pointing out how scared the Granary team is to the RED Soldier.
He even admits to the Pyro that he and his men would have eventually come to Granary all the same even if the Pyro hadn't come there as he prepares to kill the entire Granary Team with a single rocket. However, the BLU Soldier sacrifices himself and takes the hit instead while the RED Soldier continues to threaten the Granary team, who begin to lose hope.
However, the Pyro realizes they can't give up and decides to take a standby using air compression blasts to keep the Soldier at bay, which motivates the rest of the team to fight as well. Meatloaf seemingly betrays the team and sides with the Soldier. However, this proves to be a ruse as the Meatloaf with the Soldier turns out to be a Spy who backstabs the Soldier's Medic, allowing the team to turn the tables on their otherwise still sturdy foe. They throw everything they have at the Soldier, but he refuses to let up.
Furious and fed up, the Soldier releases one last rocket to finish the Granary team off. The Pyro reflects the rocket back at Soldier, ending his reign of terror once and for all.
