Raphael Lord, or more specifically known by his nickname Ral, is the main antagonist of the Total Drama Fanfiction Totally Dramatic Nightmare! and the overall main antagonist of the Alex Gremlin Total Drama fanfic timeline due to being the overarching antagonist of the first season and the unseen overarching antagonist of the nest two seasons and the main antagonist of the fourth and final season. He is the arch-nemesis of Jesse.
He is an infamous and sadistic professional assassin, terrorist and mass murderer that is known, and feared, throughout the entire criminal underworld. He is an original character in the series alongside Jesse and they are the only two characters to have met prior to the reality show albeit never seeing the other's face due to the shadows and the encounter was not pleasant.
Ral was hired by Chris McLean to brutally get the dangerous reality show aired through any means necessary. And Ral, bored of committing routine kills, agreed and brutally forced legalisations and airing times for multiple TV companies to agree and even got them to fund the show's fatal challenges. He was also one of the people in charge of the audition background checks and upon discovering Jesse's audition and who he was, Ral had him join the show as a chance for revenge. He rigged the Island finale to get Jesse to continue competing to continue his plan for revenge.
Ral then forced Chris to allow the violent criminal to compete or he would expose the illegal acts Chris used to get the show aired (Ral didn't mind having more charges on his name). Chris would instantly regret this act as Ral was not a welcome presence to the rest of the Total Drama cast due to his antagonistic and crude personality. Ral would later secretly kill off most of the cast during the Cast Purging First Challenge and become one of the regular competitors for 5 Billion dollars.
Ral's presence was despised by all of the cast, most of all Jesse as they were growing an intense rivalry within the season. Ral also made it through every challenge and even gained the invincibility statue. He would later continue until hitting the final 2 and almost won and nearly killed Jesse but the tables turned and Ral was critically wounded and arrested with Chris and Chef with Jesse winning the final challenge.
Ral later died in prison from cancer that was caused by his smoking and drinking addiction.

Ral has received critical acclaim from readers of Totally Dramatic Nightmare for being a well written "love to hate villain" due to the amount of comments of Ral. His actions and charisma have earned him a place in the Total Drama fanbase and has been called the best written original Total Drama villain out there.
