“ | Do I regret my actions? Hardly. The only thing I regret doing is going about it in the way I did. I made a lot of errors back then, and if I were given a second chance, I would do it again, only perhaps with a less violent approach, and perhaps I wouldn’t have created One For All with my future knowledge. To give a very short version of my answer. No. No, I do not. But if I could change small bits and pieces of what I did to make for a more healthy outcome, then I would. Otherwise, I’d keep things the same. | „ |
All For One, real name Rikitasu Shigaraki, or simply Shigaraki is the deuteragonist of The Owl House and My Hero Academia Crossover fanfic All For Luz.
He was a former super villain with the powerful quirk All For One who ruled Japan in the Mutant Realm, with an iron fist, until his death by the hands of All Might, with his death creating the awakening of superpowers in the Human Realm. His spirit spawning into Luz’ mind after she inherited All For One, Shigaraki decides to train Luz, planning on using her body and mind to get back to his home.
Appearance[]
Body[]
All For One is an imposing man standing over 7 ft. tall, with a powerfully physique, short white hair, and faded red eyes that showed no emotions. There's a small hole in each of his palms, which is how he stole and transferred Quirks.
Clothing[]
He always wears a dark suit over a white shirt.
Personality[]
Like All For One’s canon counterpart, Shigaraki is a calculating, manipulative, egotistical and confident supervillain who used his supreme power to rule Japan in his old home world with an iron fist, using his charisma and intimidation to keep those on his side. Gaining information and knowledge of the Boiling Isles and the Human Realm, All For One’s ambitions grew more than what he had ever hope for and had plans to rule not only the Mutant Realm, but the entire multiverse for himself.
After spawning into Luz’s head, All For One presents himself as a charismatic and powerful figure towards the girl, attempting to get her trust. Knowing her suspicions of him, he uses his intelligence to win her over, promising to never lie to get her to trust him, which he eventually succeeds in doing. Despite not outright lying to her, he is willing to twist the truth in order to break Luz, using her low self esteem and her trouble fitting in to make her turn against everyone, while trying to act as a tough but fair mentor towards her. When Luz fights against threats such as the kids during the Camp Battle and Wittebane’s assassins, Shigaraki is quick to praise her on her victories and give her sound advice on how to beat them, all the while acting concerned for her well-being.
Despite this, Shigaraki is a sociopathic narcissist, perfectly honest about using everyone and anyone as tools, including his own brother Yoichi, and sees Luz merely as a means to and end to get him back to his world. When Luz once asked if he regretted his actions in his past life, Shigaraki bristles, stating that while he may wished to have done different things, he absolutely feels no regret for anything he done, showing a remorseless, power-hungry man.
However, later on in the story shows he's not completely devoid of humanity. When Luz breaks down into tears while hugging him after her traumatic experience at the Battle of Gravesfield, he was initially left confused on what to do until this scenario reminds him of when his late brother Yoichi doing this when they were kids. Instead of using the situation to his advantage, the supervillain makes a genuine effort to comfort the crying child. He also admits he did love his younger brother and he locked him up not out of cruelty, but a misguided attempt to protect from the outside elements due his weak body. All For One flat out admits to himself that he didn’t care about the power that claiming One For All would give him, only that it was his brother's Quirk.
Biography[]
Past Life and First Death[]
His earliest parts of his backstory are the same as in My Hero Academia. When Quirks were first emerging, All for One amassed a cult-like following with his power to remove and give Meta Abilities at will in the Mutant Realm. He assembled a vast organization of people who would act upon his every whim.
24 years before the start of the story, he came across Eda Clawthorne and King that stumbled into his world by accident. Eda managed to escape with King back to her world via Portal Door, but All For One managed to get his hands on King's titan blood and followed her to the Boiling Isles. This resulted in him waging a 10-Year War on the witches for control of the society that concluded with countless deaths of the inhabitants and various witches being experimented on with his Quirks, before he forced back to his Realm with the combined forces of Eda, Lilith and Emperor Belos and ran out of Titan's Blood get back.
All Might and All for One have an epic battle in the Mutant Realm, that costs the latter his life in the fight.
Resurrection and Meeting Luz Noceda[]
All For One's death causes the "The Mass Power Awakening Event" in the Human Realm, when his soul is transferred into Luz's mind as she inherits his Quirk.
Powers & Abilities[]
Powers[]
- All For One – His namesake Quirk. This Quirk allowed him to steal Quirks from others to use for himself, both dead and alive, and also give stolen Quirk to other people, but he couldn't steal too many Quirks or else his body will start to tear itself apart. The process is painful for the person losing or getting the Quirk drained from them that manifests as red and black lightning. It can also cause fatal brain damage, occasionally. His natural limit was 50 Quirks but after Dr. Garaki's body modification it was increased to over 1000.
Rikitasu had stolen a wide variety of Quirks with his ability before his death, including:
- Spearlike Bones - This Quirk generated drill-like bone structures around Rikitasu's body. He stole this Quirk from his mother, Aiya Kagurami, after he was born and was the first Quirk stolen by him overall.
- Repair - It allows him to heal any injuries from himself and others via his hands.
- Stamina Negation - This Quirk allowed Rikitasu to negate all stamina depletion. He could never grow physically tired but this didn't mean he didn't require sleep.
- Pain Nullification - This Quirk allows Rikitasu to reduce any pain felt, granting him an immense pain tolerance.
- Spear Fingers - It allowed Rikitasu to turn his fingers sharp and pointed like spears, and fire them towards people like extendable pole-arms from a distance of up to 25 meters.
- Strength Enhancer - The Quirk granted Rikitasu a boost in physical strength. He had three copies of this Quirk.
- Antigen Swap - This Quirk allowed Rikitasu to change his blood type. He used this Quirk in the past to leave no traces of himself behind.
- Life Force - This Quirk was given to him by Doctor Garaki, and had allowed him to possess supernatural longevity in lifespan.
- Multiplier - This Quirk multiplies the number of Rikitasu's arms to 50 at most. He could also merge the many hands together into giant arms, the size of a bus. These limbs could use other Quirks, like Spear Fingers, so long as they originate from Rikitasu's hands, with the only exception being All For One itself.
- Radio Waves - Rikitasu could disrupt radio waves and cause communicators to malfunction.
- Super Regeneration - This Quirk possessed the ability to regenerate from any injuries at high speeds, allowing Rikitasu to withstand what would be fatal wounds. He could even regenerate whole limbs and organs, and cells that had been burned. However, the process was quite painful, and often leaves scars.
Former Quirks[]
Quirks obtained via Rikitasu and then passed onto others:
- Energy Saver - This Quirk allows Rikitasu's body to function on very small amounts of nutrition and hydration, allowing him to fully function on a minimal amount of sleep. He gave this Quirk to Gigantomachia.
- Pain Blocker- This power makes him unable to detect any pain, granting him an immense pain tolerance. He's gave this power to Gigantomachia.
- Stockpile - A Quirk which allowed Rikitasu to stockpile power. He gave it to his younger brother, Yoichi, to try and force him to his side, causing it to merge with his Quirk and created One For All. He later gave an artificial replica to Odalia Blight.
- Overclock - This Quirk allows the user to stimulate their brain's perception of information, granting them hyper speed, reflexes, and an improvement to their healing factor. This Quirk was stolen from O'Clock and given to Number 6, and then to Hunter.
- Smog - It allowed to Rikitasu create, control and transform into poisonous, purple smoke. He later used this Quirk to help create Kurogiri.
- Decay - This Quirk allows the user to destroy and disintegrate anything they touch. This Quirk was given to Tenko Shimura.
- Quirk Bestowal - This Quirk has no power other than it could be transferred from one person to another. To transfer this Quirk, the user has to willingly pass it to another through DNA, such as by the recipient ingesting a strand of hair or a drop of blood. Its an artificial duplicate of his brother's, Yoichi's, power, and gives this Alador Blight.
- Lightbringer - This power allowed to Rikitasu create, control and transform into light attacks. He gave this Quirk to Hunter.
- Selective-Gigantism - This Quirk enlarged Rikitasu's limbs. This Quirk was given away to Hunter.
- Navel Laser - This Quirk allows the user to project twinkling laser beams from their navel. This Quirk was given to Yuga Aoyama.
- Mole - This Quirk allows the user to grow mole-like claws from their fingers, as well as spines on their back, to dig through the earth. This Quirk was given to Gigantomachia for hiding underground.
Abilities[]
- Overall Power - All For One is one of the most powerful beings in the three realms, likely only surpassed by All Might, the Collectors and the Titans. He stole Quirks from others, spread his influence, and ruled over Japan from the shadows. For many generations, most were ignorant of All For One's existence, the Symbol of Evil was regarded as an urban legend. In the Boiling Isles, it took the team up of Eda, Lilith and Belos to match him in power and fend him off and even then Eda was mortally wounded, Lilith was maimed and Belos had to resort to his Daybreak Form.
- Immortality - Thanks to the extensive arsenal of Quirks at his disposal, All For One is virtually immortal and almost invincible. The few people that have been able to stand a chance against him were the One For All users, and even then, it took 8 successors until the Quirk was ready to defeat him. Even after being killed by All Might, All For One was revived in Luz's mind and plans to take over her body.
- Genius Intellect - Besides his formidable combat prowess, All For One is a dangerous schemer, who will stoop to any level to commit macabre acts. He has shown to possess a high level of intelligence, and has over a century's worth of experience involving the Quirks that he's stolen, as shown when explaining the advantages/disadvantages of each power to Luz and which ones that are worth stealing. Due to this, this allows him to help Luz use her Quirk in creative ways, as a means for creating powerful attacks.
- Charisma - Combined with his high intelligence and power, as well as his normally calm and controlled demeanor, All For One has a lot of charisma and managed to rally dozens of people to join his cause and aid in his tyranny both in Japan and in the Boiling Isles.
- Manipulation - All For One was capable of rallying followers through persuasion, fear and exploitation. With his ability to take and give quirks, he manipulated many to become his pawns to where he eventually gained rule over all of Japan. He was also able to turn many of Belos's subordinates into becoming his spies, as well as gain some trust from Luz as his protege despite knowing he's an evil villain.

Quotes[]
“ | Luz. I’m serious about this. Whether you like it or not, your Quirk is designed to steal other people’s power. And yes, I truly do want to know your reasoning. Because if it is what I think it is, then perhaps I can make this easier for you. In our first meeting, you mentioned that you didn’t want to take people’s powers because you saw it as wrong. Care to explain that a little bit more? | „ |
~ Rikitasu asking Luz why she believes their Quirk is evil. |
“ | You shouldn't feel bad about what you did. You were not in the wrong. You did what had to be done, no matter what anybody tells you. Those who wronged you deserved their fate, as does anyone else who has wronged you in the past. | „ |
~ To Luz, as latter starts to feel guilty about killing her friends' murderers. |
“ | Its purpose, Luz, depends on what you think it is. For me, it was world domination. For you… it could be whatever you desire. What does your heart tell you, Luz? What does your mind tell you? I cannot tell you what you want. I can only suggest. It is up to you to take up those suggestions or ignore them. After all, I am not in control here. I am merely a passenger. | „ |
~ To Luz, when she asks what the purpose of their Quirk is. |
“ | It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks or believes. Judge yourself on your own morals. Not anyone else's. | „ |
~ To Luz, after she kills a squad of cops in a fit of rage. |
“ | Calm yourself. Focus… You can grieve later. Channel that anger and despair you are feeling, and use it against your enemies. Push past this, and bring your wrath down on your foes! | „ |
~ To Luz, after the later is tricked into believing she killed her mother. |
“ | Out of all of my years of living, I have never seen this happen! I never even thought it was possible! It happened! It finally happened!! ALL FOR ONE HAS FINALLY AWAKENED!!!! | „ |
~ Rikitasu on Luz's Quirk Awakening. |
“ | Luz… you did it. You made it to where you need to be. Welcome… To The Boiling Isles. | „ |
~ Rikitasu to Luz after finally arriving to the Demon Realm. |
Trivia[]
- For the fanfic, All For One is named Rikitasu Shigaraki, meaning “A multitude of splendid powers of Death” representing his large amounts of powers which he uses for nefarious purposes.
- He is confirmed to be 150 years old in the story.
- The events of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, didn't happen in this story. This is because All For One confronted O'clock not long after he graduated from the school he went to, that being U.A., after Ujiko found out about his Quirk and what it did. All For One desired to have it, and so tracked him down, took Overclock and killed him.
- Because he died before he had become Knuckleduster, Koichi was never able to become the Crawler with Knuckleduster's guidance.
- On top of that, because No. Six was a failed experiment, his actions in the universe never happened. When All For One created No. Six but realized that it'd amount to nothing after realizing that the All For One quirk copy was yet another dud. He still planted No. Six with Quirks to see how many he could hold (six, hence the codename). But rather than send him out to Naruhata as he had in canon, All For One simply killed him, took his Quirks back, then when he later found out about Hunter, gave Overclock to Hunter along with his other Quirks.
- His white hair and red eyes are explained to be the result of having albinism.
- Fitting for the ultimate villain of the story and author of most of the misery Luz has to go through, as well as others spanning multiple realms, All For One shows traits of all seven of the sins.
- Greed: His Quirk is described by Luz as the symbol of this sin. He is compulsively greedy, wanting Luz to steal powerful Quirks and plans to take over the girl's body as he believes, through her, he can conquer the multiverse.
- Pride: He's incredibly arrogant and egotistical, seeing his Quirk as making him a god among men (despite being killed by All Might) and encourages Luz to have this same mindset. He's also pleased as her hair and eye color slowly changes to match his, as it appeals to his narcissism. He takes pride in his successor's growth, awaking their Quirk and gave her his last name when changing her name.
- Gluttony: He has an innate hunger to steal other Quirks he fancies and is still obsessed with stealing One For All, even after its last wielder killed him. He's also responsible for Luz's Quirk addiction to get her to steal more powers.
- Envy: He's implied to be tied to an envious wanting of what others naturally possess, e.g. Belos's rule over the Boiling Isles, unique and strong Quirks, etc.
- Lust: He has an immense lust for power and control, and has plans to take over the Human, Demon and Mutant Realms through Luz. He's also has sadistic streak, taking pleasure in watching Luz kill people and steal Quirks which causes great pain to her victims. Even Luz isn't exempt from this, enjoying tormenting and manipulating her for his own agenda.
- Wrath: He can react negatively to any challenge to his image of the all-powerful Demon Lord, as it is implied to why he killed Harvey Park for laying a scratch on him. He also encourages Luz to utilise anger and hatred to strengthen herself, as those are the only emotions he has any real faith in.
- Sloth: He prefers to leave the dirty work to his underlings and rarely does anything himself unless he has to. He also encourages Luz to not bothering stealing any Quirks that take a while to train it to an effective level, instead focusing on simple, powerful and easy to use powers, even though with their longevity they have more time than all but a few to do so. His grand plan is to reap the rewards of Luz's progress by possessing her body.
