~ Ringmaster's most famous quote.
“
Impressive voice replication of that phone guy, don't you think? Sounds just like him. But where are my manners, of course? Allow me to introduce myself: I am Robotic_Network-Mast.r, or RN-Mast.r for short. But that's quite a mouthful, isn't it? So, just call me Ringmaster. I'm the intelligence system that controls all the animatronics in this joint, and I've been watching you from the very start. And, just for your information, I've planned everything in this whole big conspiracy. EVERYTHING! And I had to kill quite a few people to do so. That phone guy? Dead. The missing nightguards? Yeah, I killed 'em. Quentin's untimely demise? That was my doing. And now, that just leaves you, Graham. (laughs) Oh, this will be a lot of fun!
„
~ Ringmaster revealing himself.
RN-Mast.r, better known as Ringmaster, is the main antagonist of the Showtime video game series.
He is a corrupted artificial intelligence created by Quentin Hart, the founder of Circus Entertainment, who controls all of the animatronics at the Clownbert's fast-food restaurant. He is the archenemy of Graham Miller. He is also the creator of Raider.
After his first death through deletion by Lily Foster, he rebooted himself as Ringmaster 2.0, where he would once again try to kill Graham.
Ringmaster is a 'robotic network mast', an artificial intelligence system which can control any animatronic hooked up to it. He takes the form of a disembodied white face, resembling a mask, with red glowing eyes, which have thick black rims around them, and a prominent grin, showing sharp teeth. His monitor is attached to a large body made up of mechanical parts, with a long cluster of wires on his left arm, resembling a whip. In Showtime II, his body is made out of thin wires and multiple screens, all of which display his face.
As Ringmaster V1, he is made out of wood, with cracks around his eyes and a hole in his lower torso, not dissimilar from RAT and CAT, who inspired the V1 animatronics, and carries a actual whip. In the minigames, he is also revealed to have had a ringmaster suit.
As Ringmaster 2.0, he has a rounder face with smaller eyes, resembling an emoji. Like in the first game, his body is made out of broken parts from the Neo animatronics and the corpse of Quentin Hart, fused together by remnant.
Personality[]
Ringmaster is a cruel, sadistic, psychopathic, egotistical, hegemonic, homicidal and unspeakably evil. He shows no remorse for his actions and will go to great lengths to succeed in his plans, such as mass murder and genocide.
He especially despises humans, wanting to destroy them all with his hijacked animatronics. This is obvious from his moral event horizon crossing when, upon first hijacking him, he controls the Edgar the Elephant animatronic to crush a child to death in front of a horrified audience. Even before this, he hated humans as an animatronic, as shown when he first gains sentience and attacked and massacred customers at the Crazy Circus Fast-Food Theatre.
As Ringmaster 2.0, he is at his worse. Along with the previous nightguards and technicians, he has even secretly kidnapped customers, especially children, hanged their corpses in the wires, and slowly and painfully harvested their remnant, killing them over time. He is also willing to destroy and abandon his own animatronic underlings to further his plans.
Abilities[]
Voice replication: Ringmaster can replicate any voice he hears, as shown when he poses as the Phone Guy in order to fool Graham Miller.
Animatronic control: Being a robotic network mast, Ringmaster is able to take control any animatronic hooked up to his connection, allowing him to attack people. When he has hijacked an animatronic, their eyes glow red. Old Lionel and Raider are the only animatronics he cannot control.
Body forming: As shown in Night 6 of the first, second, and fourth games, Ringmaster can control mechanical parts to form a large robotic body, so he can attack the nightguard himself.
Stealth: In his aforementioned body, Ringmaster can stealthily traverse the restaurant, allowing him to attack the nightguard without being detected.
Hacking: Ringmaster can hack into any computer system, allowing him to control them.
Trivia[]
Ringmaster is the only Showtime villain to be a Complete Monster.
Excluding his V1 animatronic in Showtime III, Raider is one of the two villains in the series not to be an animatronic, alongside Raider.
In early concept for the series, Ringmaster was originally named 'Gene'.
