Overview
TV Trope

Please, do not fear. I am not trying to the wrong thing here, I am just simply trying to fix this entire omniverse. I am trying to rid it of it's problems, even if I am hurting many people. I am doing the right thing, not the wrong thing.
~ Sōsaku.
Child, it's okay. My apologies if I harmed you, but look. These... were bad people. And they got what they deserved. I am just trying to fix everything. Take care now.
~ Sōsaku after killing a child's family, who were actually criminals.
Some view me as a hero, some view me as a villain. I can understand both sides, honestly. Yes, I have killed many people, but I only kill to get rid of people who are causing problems to this beautiful omniverse. I do care about the omniverse, I just don't like what... he made. Evil... evil is bad... and I try not to be evil. I respect your beliefs if you do actually believe that I am a villain, but know that I consider myself a hero.
~ Sōsaku explaining that he understands that some people see him as a villain and that some see him as a hero.
I created this multiverse all on my own... isn't it lovely? This is what I wish the rest of the omniverse was like. Peaceful, quiet, a omniverse where everyone is happy and nothing evil is happening. I just want everyone to be happy... and... I am sorry that I have caused some harm, but... I am trying to do what's right. Once this omniverse is rid from Nekrozoth and anyone else evil, everything will be perfect.
~ Sōsaku on his multiverse.

Sōsaku is a being that embodies both Creation and Light. He wants to rid the omniverse of it's many flaws, including it's evil, but he has done some harsh things in order to do so, killing those who he believes are truly beyond redemption.

Sōsaku is a major antagonist in the Tales of the Omniverse franchise, serving as a minor, yet pivotal antagonist in Multiversal Legends, one of the secondary antagonists in Legends of the Champions, a major antagonist in Forces, and a minor antagonist in Pandora Files.

He was created by Your Not So Average Guy.

Personality[]

Sōsaku believes that he is generally doing the right thing in many different ways. He believes that he is fixing the omniverse by killing those who are beyond redemption and he does heavily dislike evil. He brainwashed billions of people into doing what he wanted, doing what he believes is right, but his abilities to do this are sometimes limited, which is why he had to kill people several times. A few times, when Sōsaku believed that a an entire universe was beyond redemption, he would sadly destroy it, believing there was nothing he could, not even brainwashing. While he really didn't want to do this, he had no problem with consuming the entire universes with light. He would regret this later, however, knowing that he just killed beyond trillions of people.

Despite committing some horrific actions, Sōsaku really does believe that he is doing the right thing. However, he is willing to help people he sees as good with anything, such as making their multiverse better. He also cares deeply for the people in his multiverse since they worship him as a good and due to his brainwashing, he sees them as perfect people. He also cares about people who he generally believes are good outside of his multiverse; he even invited several people from different multiverses to his own a couple of times.

Sōsaku is generally polite to everyone, even those he generally despises. While he sees himself as a hero, he can understand why some people may see him as a villain too given some of his actions, and he does have a general respect for their opinion. The only person Sōsaku truly refuses to be friendly to is the creator of all evil, Nekrozoth, due to him creating evil and being responsible for many of the horrible things that have happened across the omniverse. He is the only person in the entire omniverse that Sōsaku is completely willing to kill. He doesn't even hate Xorin or Vekkisul, or any of Nekrozoth's evil creations or pawns, or at least as much as him. He would only spare Nekrozoth if he decided to destroy evil, but even then, he doesn't believe that Nekrozoth deserves any kind of mercy for the horrific things he has done.

Sōsaku is also generally afraid of what could happen if someone destroys the omniverse again and rebuilds it. He is afraid that it will harm everyone who he believes is a good person and that they will not come back. He would do anything to prevent the omniverse from destruction again, even if it means that he has to kill someone. While Sōsaku embodies both creation and light, he does have an understanding of what's right and what's wrong, even if it is slightly twisted, so he isn't amoral. He has full control over his actions and he is aware that what people like Nekrozoth are indeed horrible. He also hates doing what he believes is wrong, even if he feels that he has to kill people.

Appearance[]

While it isn't exactly clear what Sōsaku's true form looks like, it's form that it uses the most appears to be a glowing yellow ball of energy, which serves as his eye and it is made from both light and creation. It usually has what appears to be colorful strands of energy surrounding it, which it uses as both weapons, and shields.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Not too much is known about Sōsaku's early life, but it is known that he did exist when Nekrozoth created evil. He tried to stop him, but he failed in doing so, even though he came close. Once Nekrozoth created evil and destroyed the omniverse several times, Sōsaku tried to defeat him again. However, he ended up failing. Sōsaku knew he had to do something, given how horrible Nekrozoth's actions were. The only place that Sōsaku knew that didn't have any evil in was his own multiverse which he had created, called Hikari. Everyone there worshiped Sōsaku as a god and they were under his control so they wouldn't commit any horrible acts.

Sōsaku became concerned, however; he did care for the rest of the omniverse too, and he knew because of Nekrozoth's horrific actions, evil would be all over the omniverse and many horrible things would happen. This drove Sōsaku kinda mad. Sōsaku began traveling across the omniverse to stop the spread of evil. At first, he tried to convince people out of it by communicating with people telepathically. Sōsaku was somewhat successful at first, but he began to feel like it wasn't working as much. He began to start brainwashing people into only good on multiple multiverses, but sometimes, it didn't work as much.

When Sōsaku believed that a universe or multiverse was almost beyond redemption, he would do one of two things; he would turn the entire universe to stone, not exactly destroying it because he wanted to give it one more chance. However, if he believed it was too far gone, he would destroy it by consuming it with light. While he hated doing this, he did generally believe that it was better to destroy a corrupted universe or multiverse than letting it be, seeing it mainly as an act of mercy in some twisted way.

Purging the Omniverse from Evil[]

Sōsaku roamed around the omniverse, wanting to rid it of it's evil. He would go to multiple destroyed multiverses and rebuild them, brainwashing everyone into only what he believed to be good and worship him as a god. After Nekrozoth found out at some point, he ordered to have him killed. Sōsaku would either kill them or brainwash them to get them to try to stop Nekrozoth. Despite originally wanting to help the omniverse, Sōsaku began killing those who he believed stood in his way. He believed that he was truly the only one who could actually stop Nekrozoth.

Sōsaku, while continuing with some of his actions, wiped out several multiverses that belonged to either Nekrozoth or his allies, believing it to be mercy to them given that he knew that Nekrozoth probably did horrible things to them, believing it to be putting them out of their mercy. Sōsaku also brainwashed many of Nekrozoth's minions into serving him so he could continue with his plan.

While it may have had somewhat good intentions, it did frighten several people in the omniverse due to wiping out several multiverses and brainwashing many people into doing what he believed was right. Several cosmic beings came after Sōsaku, wanting to put an end to his supposed reign of terror.

Fight and Imprisonment[]

Once several cosmic beings found Sōsaku, they tried to get him to stop doing what he was doing. Still believing he was doing the right thing, Sōsaku tried to stop the cosmic beings. After taking down two of them, Sōsaku thought he would win. However, this was not the case. The other beings overpowered Sōsaku and defeated him.

Fearing that Sōsaku would hurt more people, the cosmic entities trapped Sōsaku in his own multiverse, forming a barrier over it, imprisoning him. While it seemed that Sōsaku would be forever trapped there, the cosmic entities created a crystal that can open the barrier. They shattered it in five pieces and spread them across the omniverse, just so no one could release Sōsaku from his prison. However, one day, someone began looking for them.

Trivia[]

  • Sōsaku's design is heavily inspired by Galeem's from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
  • If Sōsaku and Eveicialis ever met, they would most likely become rivals. They also most likely fight to the death.
    • If they choose not to be rivals but allies, they could eventually fuse together, making a horrific being of both Creation and Destruction.
  • He was made to be some kinda opposite to Eveicialis.
  • Sōsaku is actually Japanese for "Creation."
  • His true form is something that most people cannot even handle or grasp. Usually, if it is looked at, they will go into a state of shock and paralysis.
