Salem is one of the two main antagonists alongside Dr. Eggman of Iron117Prime's A Red Rose in the Blue Wind.
She is the immortal ruler of the Grimm and leader of a faction composed of individuals with malicious agendas, with her overall goal of dividing the people of Remnant, and allying with Dr. Eggman and supporting his conquest in order to collect the power of the four Maidens and Relics so she could summon the Brother Gods and get her revenge on them. She is the arch-nemesis of Ozpin (the latest reincarnation of her former lover Ozma) and many others including Teams RWBY, JNPR, and now Teams Sonic and Dark.
Appearance[]
Salem's skin is a pale white, with noticeable dark purple veins around her face and body. With her eyes being black and crimson red. She has white hair thats styled into a bun with six offshoots wrapped together. She wears a long black dress that drags across the ground, with a curved high collar and dark red trim. Having black fingernails and a black diamond symbol on her forehead while wearing various jewelry and ordinances. And carrying a dark purple cape on her back.
Personality[]
Salem maintains a calm and composed appearance, being diplomatic when working with Eggman and other potential allies. Displaying a cunning and strategic side while being adaptable when forced to quickly change her plans. She also maintains an intimidating presence in order to keep her powerful followers in line. Upon witnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds and Super Sonic, Salem would become interested in the Emeralds power hoping to harvest them for her own plans. Unlike Eggman who enjoys demonstrating his presence to the world Salem prefers secrecy and utilizing subtle tactics to divide her enemies before going for the attack. While she is pragmatic when giving second chances to those that fail her, she will not hesitate to dispose of them if they are no longer useful and become a liability. However when facing a complete failure she can become livid, cursing her enemies and forced to accept the unfavorable outcome. Despite this Salem still retains a semblance of her humanity and misses her children, even considering to let Sonic destroy her only to reject the idea so she could get her revenge on the Brother Gods.
History[]
Salem was born during the age when the Brother Gods lived among humanity, having once been in love with the heroic warrior Ozma. After his death and tricking the gods into trying to try and bring him to life she was cursed with immortality. Upon Ozma’s revival in a world without Gods and Magic they would reunite but unfortunately they would become enemies and the family they had would be destroyed. Since then the two have been fighting for the fate of Remannt ever since with Salem being determined to destroy everything Ozma created.
One day Salem would meet Dr. Eggman after his latest defeat at the hands of Sonic and his friends, by chance he would crash on Remant in her domain. Out of curiosity she had a meeting with him where she learned that he came from another world and upon learning of their similar natures, the two would decide to form a partnership to aid each other in their goals and eliminate their shared enemies, creating an alliance between her Factions and the Eggman Empire.
The Vale Saga[]
Upon his return to Remnant Eggman would assist Cinder and her allies in brining down Beacon and gaining the power of the Fall Maiden to retrieve the Relic.
Eggman would make his first appearance at the docks with Roman revealing to Blake that he has allied with the White Fang and supported them with his weapons.
After Cinders failure and capture Eggman would report to Salem and begin his invasion, assembling his army to attack Vale and destroy Beacon Academy.
The Hunt for the Chaos Emeralds Saga[]
After the failure of destroying Beacon Salem would meet with Eggman to discuss their new corse of action. To gather the now scattered Chaos Emeralds before Sonic and the others get to them first and to gather allies to aid their agenda in stopping Sonic.
