Scar is a major antagonist of the crossover anime/light novel/manga series Kingdom Hearts vs. Sword Art Online, serving as the main antagonist of the Pride Lands arc, and a member of the Disney Villain Council, serving under Nobuyuki Sugou and Xehanort. He is just as evil as his canon version (if not more evil than him).
Like his original counterpart, Scar is voiced by Haruhiko Jo in Japanese, and Jeremy Irons in English.
History[]
Seven years ago (about 3 years before the start of Sword Art Online), he discovered an ancient dark magic which he used to lead a successful attack on the Pride Lands with the sole purpose of killing Mufasa's human friend, Yukino Kirigaya, Kazuto "Kirito" Kirigaya's aunt.
However, Scar didn't have full control over his new power and shortly after the attack he lost the ability to use it. Mufasa did witness Scar as he was about to kill Yukino. However, just before he lost it, Scar used the last of his dark magic to erase the memories of his involvement from all the inhabitants of the Pride Lands.
Scar's actions would leave a huge impact on Kirito. Causing him to be traumatized from watching his aunt die to the point where he forced himself to forget all about Yukino, Mufasa, Simba, and the Pride Lands, and also being one of the reasons why Kirito started distancing himself from his family. Therefore making him partially responsible for Kirito becoming one of the 10,000 people trapped in Sword Art Online.
Following his defeat in the 1994 movie, he was resurrected as a Heartless, by Xehanort and Sugou. Having been resurrected with his dark magic abilities returned, he gained a second chance to achieve his ultimate goal: Become the ruler of the Pride Lands, break the circle of life forever, and kill Simba, Sora, Kirito, and anyone who stands in his way.
Appearance[]
Not much is changed for Scar's appearance compared to his canon version. However, he now has a new form as a heartless.
In his heartless form, Scar's fur turns a dark violet color, his paw tips, and belly turn lavender, and the colors of his eyes turn purple. His mane also looks as though it's made of black fire.
Personality[]
Like the original Lion King storyline, Scar is sadistic, bloodthirsty, manipulative, cunning, and completely lacking of anything that resembles empathy even remotely.
He's revealed to be even more evil and sadistic than what was originally shown. This is seen when he kills Yukino, and then gloats about it to Kirito later on while physically torturing him.
