Sonic the Hedgehog, now known by the nickname Scorched, is a villainous protagonist created by RblxTrex.
A version of the Blue Blur stuck inside the void of an unofficial add-on to Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles, he now seeks nothing more than to get revenge for his fallen friends against the people he believed has replaced him.
He is voiced by Madzilla, who also voices their own EXE Griatos.
Appearance[]

In his base form, Sonic shares the general body as his original version, being a blue anthropomorphic hedgehog with a beige muzzle and underbelly wearing light-gray gloves and red shoes. When compared to his origin, however, Sonic's chest fur is notably fuzzier, his eyes have become extremely dilated, and his color palette has become much darker. Veins appear across his head and his mouth is outstretched into a grimace, exposing flesh.
When empowered, Scorched becomes much taller, his eyes becoming so dilated that they resemble holes, and his lower jaw no longer having any fur left and becoming red as a result. As a result of improperly fusing with Hog's design, Scorched gains Hog's cheek tufts and his clothing turns gray. His middle and ring fingers have fused, and all of his fingertips end in dark claws. Occasionally, Scorched may have his eyes, inner mouth, and parts of his gloves and shoes glow a bright yellow resembling scorching magma.
Personality[]
Scorched's personality is, for all intents and purposes, near identical to his original counterpart, only with his negatives dialed up to an extreme degree. Scorched is violent and reckless, not caring for what happens to the world. His ego has also inflated, believing that Hog intentionally replaced him instead of just a happenstance.
That being said, Scorched still retains some of his humanity in him. After all this time, he still cares for his friends, with his entire crusade being a misguided effort to avenge them. Scorched is blinded by his rage, and when it's pointed out that he is purposefully causing the exact same thing that happened in his world, he is mortified, reverting to a depressive state.
Biography[]
GIGA[]
Scorched's tale begins with a company known simply as GIGA, known for making add-ons for the SEGA Genesis. The one known for Sonic series is known as the "Switch n' Play", which would allow the player to play GIGA's very own series known as "Hog the Tenrec", promising hours of fun and entertainment.
What they never knew is that in each and every cartridge, an entire world containing the characters of the game would reside, and modifying it to such a degree would result in disastrous consequences.
Call of the Void[]
Inside of the cartridge, Sonic woke up to find himself inside a void made up of fragments of his old world. This void had stripped code from Sonic's world that has no use in the game, and as such, claimed the lives of everything inside the world of the game.
Unlike the rest of the game, Hog (the main character) had to have his code reused from Sonic, leaving Sonic as the sole survivor.
Through the vast expanse, Sonic would try to reunite with his friends, only to find the corpse of Tails. Distraught, Sonic would try to find anyone to help, only encountering the mutilated bodies of his world, friends and foes alike.
Sonic, utterly exhausted, heard a familiar voice calling out from a light in the distance. Sonic, forced to pull himself together, runs up to this light to discover a screen projecting a brand new world, one so close to his own, yet with something off at every turn. Everyone acted like they would in Sonic's world, but their names and appearances were ever so slightly… off.
In the void, Sonic spent what felt like days staring at the screen, watching the game go on and hoping for a way to contact that world. As he spent his time, he would start seeing ghosts of his fallen friends, showing him that the void is slowly eating away at his body, and their words ate away at his mind. They would torment him, telling him of the worst possible outcome:
Sonic had been replaced.
For four years, these visions would appear, turning his mind into that of a vengeful monster, and for those four years, the Void had mangled Sonic's body to the point where he barely looked like his former self. The only information that he had ever gained was that the Power Rubies, this world's version of the Chaos Emeralds, were able to give him the power to break in, but he had to wait for the right moment.
Fortunately for him, that moment came when Hog was collecting the Power Rubies to stop the evil Dr. Yolkman. Sonic, taking this opportunity, noticed that the ground below was the barrier between worlds. Using his quick wits, he started trying to tear at the ground, with each attempt worsening his already fragile state. With each blow, the barrier and his body would weaken. Through it all, however, he broke through.
Power, Gleam and Glow[]
Rather unexpectedly, Sonic had awoken in Hog's body, holding a Power Ruby in hand. His plan had technically worked... but not in the way he wanted.
Prowler, Hog's trusty companion, caught up to the blue rodent, wondering if Hog had collected the Power Ruby yet. Noticing that the voice of Prowler, or rather Tails, was the same one that led him to the screen, Sonic became enraged, attempting to strangle the poor fennec fox in a fit of misguided rage. Before anything major could be done, Sonic was kicked out of Hog's body, leading to Hog immediately letting go of his friend's neck.
Sonic, back within the void, was frustrated for a bit before realizing that he had collected the Power Ruby alongside Hog. Noticing this, Sonic would lie in wait as Hog would do some of the dirty work for him. In the meantime, Hog was slowly fading in and out of consciousness, with symptoms getting worse with each Ruby collected, ultimately leading to him passing out at the fourth one. Sonic, seizing the opportunity, decided to puppeteer the tenrec.
Meanwhile, Prowler was growing weary of his "friend", who was growing more and more power hungry by the minute. Staying up all night, Prowler had invented a machine that could drain a Ruby of its power, which would make this beast inside Hog's body unable to go super.
The next morning, Sonic, still in Hog's body, successfully gathered all seven Power Rubies, only to discover that while he was powered up, he is unable to go super due to Prowler's meddling. Frustrated, Sonic drops his facade and attempts to hold Hog hostage before realizing that Prowler had developed a weapon that would only target the energy of the Rubies, and not Hog's body.
With this new development, the two would engage head on, with the ensuing aftermath tiring them both out. Sonic, while complimenting Prowler, would insult the fennec fox by comparing him to Tails. Prowler, not understanding the situation, assumed that Tails had left because of Sonic's crazed actions. Sonic, absolutely livid that such an idea about his fallen friend could ever be said, especially coming from a "lesser version" of him, would immediately lunge at Prowler, splitting him in two.
Satisfied with the carnage, Sonic drops his control to let Hog observe the remains of his friend, all just to spite him before taking back control.
With the Rubies collected, Sonic tried to go super once more, before realizing that there might be a version of the Master Emerald lying around. Taking a few moments to get prepared, Sonic would make a beeline to the gem in hopes of taking control.
The Ultimate Showdown[]
Waiting dutifully on Heaven's Land is Fists the Porcupine, this world's version of Knuckles the Echidna. Watching over the Giga Ruby, Fists would notice that Hog had shown up on the island. Fists, thinking that Hog is looking for a fight, tries to get him to leave, only to be met with an unmoving and unwavering beast in Hog's body.
Fists tries to attack further, but "Hog" would shoot at the porcupine with the same gun that Prowler used earlier, draining Fists of his power.
With the porcupine out of the way, Sonic would make his way to the Giga Ruby, using its radiant power to bring back his fallen friends. While he was successful in bringing them back, they were little more than zombies, barely having any sort of conscious function. Brutally maiming Fists, the zombies would fall once more, causing Sonic to try to tap into the Giga Ruby's power once more.
Fueled by the power of the Rubies, Sonic would try to go Super, but due to just how broken his code is at this point, Sonic would fuse with Hog's body. The end result was a mangled, burnt up creature towering over the lands. This... thing, dubbed as Scorched, was the result of Sonic's actions, a mistake that should never have been made.
Yolkman, still searching for the Power Rubies, would eventually come face to face with Scorched. Yolkman, disgusted and terrified by the monster in front of him, would retreat to the Sky Aether Zone.
While Scorched attempted to cling on to Yolkman's ship, the mad doctor would deploy the War Hog Mk. II, this world's version of Mecha Sonic and a machine made to match Hog in power. With the machine distracting Scorched enough to fly to the Giga Ruby and go Super, the two would fight before the robot ran out of power.
Having had enough distractions, Scorched would make his way to Yolkman, who was begging for his life to be spared in exchange of power. Scorched, having already killed off the world's main heroes and no longer needing power, forcefully takes Yolkman's face and burns it to ash.
Manual Blast[]
After the death of Yolkman, Hog would try his hardest to force himself back into his body. The tenrec would punch and kick at himself, trying to get rid of the monster inside, and succeeds in pulling the two apart.
Hog, terrified of what Sonic had done to his friends, tries to fight, only for Sonic to grab his neck and throw him to the ground.
Sonic tries to confront Hog, blaming him for everything the hedgehog has gone through, only for Hog to shoot down those claims, and state that they could have helped him if he didn't kill them all.
Sonic, starting to realize the gravity of his actions, is hit on the back of the head by Fists, who survived the ordeal. The porcupine had snagged the Power Rubies and tried to power them up once more, only for them to shatter in his grasp, followed by the Giga Ruby. Fortelling great disaster, Fists tried to take vengeance on Sonic, only for him to quickly rot away.
As it turns out, because of everything that had happened, the console was becoming unusable. With it, everything that had ever been saved in that system, possibly other worlds, were all crumbling apart.
Sonic tries to pin the blame on Hog once more, only for Hog to definitely shut down his claim by asking how in the world his entire world had anything to do with Sonic's world dying. Sonic, having been so fueled with rage for years, had completely broken down by Hog's words.
Unfortunately, it was too late to do anything. As the console corrupted and fried, Sonic and Hog were enveloped in a flood of light before everything they had ever known had faded into darkness.

- Due to Scorched's ego, Scorched would not get along with other EXEs that pretend to be Sonic.
- Hog and Sonic are an equal match to each other in terms of strength, but Scorched is much more powerful than Hog.
- Sonic has never been referred to as "Scorched" in-universe, but it's more-or-less a nickname for his "super" form.
- Scorched was originally made just for Friday Night Funkin', but has since gotten his own story and has a fully-fledged fan-game in the works.
- Additionally, Scorched was supposed to appear in Vs. Sonic.Exe, but due to the mod's cancellation, he was not added into the mod's final release.
- Scorched was also meant to show up in the original rendition of ILLEGAL INSTRUCTION, but was removed after controversy regarding the mod's director, averyavery, came up. He was one of the few EXEs to not be added back in during the mod's revival, alongside NormalCD and Curse.
- Only one person can survive in the void at the time, meaning that if someone else (like Tails) were to live, Sonic would die in their place.
- Hog and Scorched have two other counterparts made by Jack Gore.
- The first is Tenrec Racer 7, a version which is meant to be more akin with standard bootlegged games, with that world's Scorched, known as NULL, forcing the player to stop playing the game.
- The second is REDUX, which has Scorched connected to other EXEs and feeding off of their energy.
