Shadow the Hedgehog, also known as the awesome, is the villainous deuteragonist of the parody webcomic Tails Gets Trolled. Although he truly wants to end the whole trolling, Shadow's methods are considered exceedingly ruthless and brutal, sometimes even killing innocents, which only get worse as the story progress. He's also an ex-troll, but had left the trolls after getting disgusted about their actions.
Appearance[]
Like most characters, Shadow looks exactly the same like his canon counterpart albeit being crudely drawn. He's an anthromorphic black hedgehog with red stripes on his quills. He has white fur on his chest and wears Air Shoes.
In his early appearance he's sometimes drawn like a palette swap version of Sonic, such as furless belly and arms.
Personality[]
Shadow's personality is similar to his Sonic Boom counterpart, brutal and ruthless. His niceness and brutalness however between said counterpart. For his nice part, he does care about his friends and allies, promising to kill Eggman for torturing his friends and nicely buries Amy after discovering her corpse. On his brutal side, he will not hesistate to use violence and get enraged easily, even for petty reasons such as killing two trolls at the beginning for trolling Tails and Sonic with petty insults. Shadow also hates traitors and is persistent to execute them as soon as he can, as he immediately executes Bugs after he ruined his Awesome Fucking Plan, and is currently hunting Mario down for his betrayal. Although in Mario's case, this is also because Mario's selfish behavior had got his friends killed. Despite of this, Shadow does not care about Silver and Rob quitting his team, which he replied to Teemo after the latter's return. Shadow's wrath does not constrained to the trolls and traitors, but also those who oppose him, as he killed several members of the Defenders from stopping him killing Cheeto Man without knowing they are forced by the latter. Those condition became worse after Sonic's death.
History[]
Shadow is first seen in Chapter 1 seeing Tails crying after he gets trolled by two trolls. Sonic suggested to befriend with the trolls and show them the right path, but Shadow insists on bloodshed. After Sonic failed convincing the trolls, Shadow brings Knuckles and Tails to deal with the trolls and kill them, which causes the whole event of the Troll Fight.
Later, Shadow was confronted by Pori, who was sent by the Troll King to eliminate the one who killed the two trolls. The fight was later interrupted by Mario, who was looking for the trolls who trolled Toad before. Pori tricked Mario into believing Shadow trolled Toad and fled, causing him to attack Shadow. Shadow then explained the whole situation, Mario was convinced and left.
In Chapter 2, after hearing that Silver got trolled by Alex, he called Mario and Luigi to find the best troll fighters and then formed the Troll Slaiyers group. Silver and Luigi however, dislike the nickname Shadow gave them. The Troll Slaiyers then came up with the Awesome Fucking Plan, which ultimately failed after Shadow killed the hostage the trolls brought and caused one of the members, Bugs Bunny turned against him by destroying the remote control of the bombs they placed before. Shadow then kills Bugs for ruining the whole plan. Shadow still attempts to kill the trolls with full force, but found out that they are completely outmatched and left after Garry shows up.
In Chapter 4 and 5, after knowing Sonic was killed by the Troll King, Mario revealed his secret to Shadow, which made him realize he had been used all the time and make him try to kill him for his betrayal. However, Mario ended up escaping. Shadow sworn to destroy him one day.
In Chapter 6, Shadow and the remaining Troll Slaiyers along with Bowser are discussing about getting revenge on Mario. Knuckles asks whether Amy is single now after Sonic's demise. Shadow scold Knuckles for asking such a disturbing question. Later Knuckles suggested an idea of have Teemo get into a cannon and shoot him to the trolls' base. This ended up killing Teemo. Shadow and Vector berate Knuckles for coming up with such a bad idea and tell him to go away.
In Chapter 27, Shadow had a nightmare and woke up. He proceeds to find Tails, but only found out Amy's corpse along with other victims of the Defenders. Shadow somberly removes the maggots away and buries Amy, then burns down the rest of the corpses. Shadow swears to kill Cheeto Man to avenge Amy's death.
In Chapter 28, Shadow and Cheeto Man started fighting, the two are equally matched, until some of the defenders arrived to help Cheeto Man to kill Shadow, overwhelming him. Losing all of his patience with the Defenders, Shadow decided to blast them with dark laser he used against a village, destroying the Defender's base and killing Woodstock, Batman, Skeeter and seemingly Doug, with Vivain (and possibly Cheeto Man) escaping.

Trivia[]
- Shadow's behavior is similar to his Sonic Boom counterpart who is noticeably much more evil than the mainline counterpart. This incarnation of Shadow however has much more brutal actions.
- Shadow has the most murder count in the comics, only if the entire population of the village is counted.
- At the beginning of the series, Shadow was the main focus until Tails meets the Defenders.
- Shadow used to be a troll until he grew hatred of the trolls. When he was a troll, he seems to be good friends with Mario's father Kario. It's unknown whether their relationship had strained after Shadow left the trolls, but it's most likely soured due to Shadow's immense hatred of the trolls in the story.
- Shadow is responsible for the whole event of Tails Gets Trolled, as he killed the trolls who trolled Tails which causing the whole troll war.
- After Mario's betrayal, Shadow seems to focus on getting revenge on Mario more than the trolls he intended to kill. However, after witnessing Amy's undignified death by Cheeto Man, his target quickly switched to Cheeto Man.
- It is unknown how Shadow knows Luigi, as Mario appears without Luigi during the fight between Shadow and Pori.
