Shaggy Rogers, also known as Purple Guy is one of the main protagonists of VAVillain lore. Although he started out as a heroic character, he started delving into insanity after the end of Mystery Inc. and became a serial killer afterwards. He was Scooby-Doo's best friend, the owner of Fazbear Entertainment, and the arch-nemesis of Josh Hutchinson.
He is voiced (poorly) by VAVillain.
Roles[]
Shaggy is the deuteragonist of the Swamp Mysteries duology, the villainous main protagonist of Zoinks: A FNAF Story, and the main antagonist of FNAF Simulator.
In Swamp Mysteries, he is one of the two main protagonists of part 1 and the central protagonist of part 2.
In FNAF Simulator, he is the unseen overarching antagonist of Parts 1, 2, & Sister Location, the main protagonist of Part 3, the central antagonist turned anti-hero of Pizzeria Simulator, and the overarching antagonist of Help Wanted.
Personality[]
Shaggy is (like his original counterpart) is a dimwitted man who loves to eat. His love to eat causes him to steal food constantly, usually pizza and sandwiches.
Even after his descent into villainy, Shaggy is a very affable individual, greeting everyone in a polite manner and avoiding making jokes in Mexico in fear of coming off as racist. He was also good friends with Mystery Inc.
He is also very cowardly, like his original. He also had an out of nowhere interest in killing children, which would lead to his death and resurrection as Shagtrap.
History[]
Origins[]
Shaggy's past is never explored upon, but he states at one point that his grandad was a war veteran and that his stories were what made him scared.
Swamp Mysteries[]
In Swamp Mysteries, he and Mystery Inc have to hide from the cops because they ran over people by letting Scooby drive (Velma herself questions why they did that). He and Scooby go out to explore and meet a witch who sends them on different murder cases in return for a fortune. After doing this, Shaggy's fortune is shown to be a photo of Matthew Lillard being cast as William Afton.
Zoinks[]
After purchasing a new pizzeria, Shaggy would use it to abduct and murder children, whose souls would go on to possess the animatronics. After learning the animatronics were alive, Shaggy ran out into the middle of the street and screamed the whole night. He would later meet his end when the souls of the Missing Kids, Henry Emily, and the new nightguard, Josh Hutchinson, tricked him into wearing his old spring-lock suit, causing his demise.
However, after a few days, the Missing Kids would be shocked to learn that Shaggy was reanimated as Shagtrap due to him using 2% of his power.
FNAF Simulator[]
After coming back as Shagtrap, Shaggy would immediately attack Josh upon seeing that he was a guard at Fazbear Fright. This continued until Josh lit the place on fire to defeat Shaggy. Shagtrap would return in Pizzeria Simulator to defeat all his enemies at once. However, after seeing how much the Missing Kids cared for each other (similar to how he was with Mystery Inc), he has a change of heart and helps to burn the current pizzeria to the ground and ruin the legacy of Fazbear Entertainment.
Trivia[]
- He is likely meant to parody the casting of Matthew Lillard (who famously portrays Shaggy in multiple Scooby-Doo media) as William Afton in the upcoming FNaF movie.
- It is never stated why he decided to murder children, as he only does it right at the beginning of Zoinks.
- Unlike the original William Afton, SHaggy doesn't have any kids.
