Sheriff Martin Johnson is a minor antagonist of All For Luz, serving as the secondary antagonist in the Summer Break Shenanigans arc. He is the corrupt sheriff in Gravesfield who is vengeful towards Luz for the death of his nephew, Cody Johnson and wishes to make the girl’s life as miserable as possible.

Martin is a short, overweight man, with a beer gut, standing 5'1 ft. tall with peach-white skin, dark brown eyes and brown hair in the form of a buzzcut. He has broad shoulders and bulky arms, with slight muscular tone and thick stubby legs.
Clothing[]
For casual wear, Martin wears a red flannel shirt, blue jeans held up by a brown belt with a golden buckle in the shape of the state of Florida. At work, he wears the standard police chief uniform with a baseball cap to cover his balding head.
Personality[]
Johnson is the corrupt sheriff of Gravesfield who shows an express apathy towards his job and what is right. He shows to be callous and even takes amusement, if not annoyance, in hearing the chaos and mass death caused by the awakening of superpowers in teens. He shown to have a particular hatred towards Luz for causing the death of his nephew, Cody, and takes great pleasure in causing her misery by having stores and even schools ban her from even being on the premises.
He does have some good qualities. Johnson can be dedicated to his job when motivated, donates to charity frequently, helps organize events for schools and even fronts the bills when he can, despite being normally tight when it comes to money. He can be very caring and protective of those who he appreciates and likes. However, he's quote high-strung and quick to anger, which leads to him making rash decisions. The Sheriff also has a drinking problem, and has racist and homophobic views.
At the outset to the people of his town, Sheriff Martin Johnson is, and always was, a nice person: A caring individual for the community of Gravesfield, his protective nature ensured his future as police chief. While that was all well and good, underneath that caring and nice attitude was a greedy man who felt like he was entitled the position he was in and could do whatever he wanted. He often pulls strings to make his enemy's lives worse, as seen with Luz Noceda, the person whom he blames for causing the negative reputation toward Connecticut thanks to what The Governor had done, who he also loathes.
The only meaningful relationship he had was with his nephew Cody, who died in the Summer Death Camp. His parents hardly talk to him anymore as he abandoned them to pursue his law-enforcement career and cut contact with the rest of his family, except his brother who was Cody's father.

Martin Johnson was born in 1970, grew up and lived most of his life in Gravesfield with a family of four, his mother, father, younger brother, and himself. Martin wanted nothing more than to protect his hometown but couldn't do so thanks to not having the funds to become what he had always wanted, that being a police officer. His parents made hardly any money due to never being able to get a raise at their jobs, and his brother was too young to work, so he became quite greedy over the years. He hoarded all of the money he could possibly get his hands on, and the way he did this was by doing odd jobs around town. He garnered the reputation of a helpful, if not slightly obtuse, man who would do anything for a quick buck.
Eventually, after years of saving up, when Martin grew into his mid-20s, he was able to finally fork over enough cash to pay for a chance to get into the Gravesfield Police Academy. He was able to get in, and after 6 years of training and very little fanfare, he joined the Gravesfield police force, quickly making his way up to police chief when he hit 34 years old, where he's been since to this day.
Summer Break Shenanigans arc[]
Martin Johnson had a nephew named Cody Johnson, who was killed during the bloodbath of Reality Check Summer Camp death game. Ever since then, Johnson showed to despise Luz for causing the death of his nephew after she stole his Quirk after he tried to kill her, giving him fatal brain damage. While initially considering to try and frame Luz for a crime she didn’t commit, he settles on trying to make her life as miserable as possible by bribing stores and shops all around Gravesfield to ban Luz from, even managing to getting the school to forbid her from entering.
When Camilla comes in and attempts to get Johnson to do something, The Sheriff simply bristles and refuses, claiming his hands are tied and waves Camilla away. When hearing about a vigilante known as All For One, Johnson plans on pinning some other criminals on the crime so he can lighten the paperwork.
After Luz kills a delusional man firing at her in a supermarket store and his accomplices, she is confronted by the sheriff with a band of squad car to arrest her. It was when she was about to surrender, her cousin Riley, uses her quirk to blow Luz to bits to which The Sheriff grins at the grisly sight. However, Luz manages to regenerate using her Super Regeneration and newly acquired Multiplier, to the shock of everyone a round her, she immediately attacks in a blind fury, completely decimating The police trying to gun her down, as well as Sheriff Johnson without a second thought, killing him instantly and brutally with her exploding Forcefield Projection to turn him into bloody chunks in public view.

- His favorite animals are dogs, specifically rottweilers.
- While never shown in All For Luz, he is a very racist and homophobic individual, going to Anti-LGBTQ rallies and using his place as a police officer to abuse minorities in the town of Gravesfield.
- Despite his rather large size, Martin is very quick on his feet and, as a police officer, is very skilled in takedown maneuvers, though he never does anything for himself anymore, so he never gets the chance to show this off.
- He is very well taught in gun safety and even teaches a course on gun safety at local seminaries, up until his death.
