Sidney "Sid" Philips is the secondary antagonist of the 2022 Pixar Fanverse fanfilm remake Toy Story.
He is the son of Jeremy Philips and the owner (alongside his father) and also the master of Scud the Dog.
He is portrayed by Josh Hutcherson in his first villainous fanon role.
History[]
Sid is a sadistic and ruthless little boy whom enjoys torturing and destroying toys, which unintentionally results in their murder. He is the son of Jeremy Philips, who often abuses him heavily and hits him with a whip as a punishment for him having a bad day.
Sid is at first seen out of the window of Andy's apartment, and while the toys were watching, he and his pet dog Scud tortured and destroyed/murdered a toy Santa Claus sadistically.
However, before he plays more, his father Jeremy aggressively demands that he quits playtime and accompanies him at work. After Sid comes back, he finds Woody and Buzz, while they are attacked by Scud. He demands Scud to give them to him, and he throws them into his room, sadistically implying that he's an evil space overlord and remarking that he's going to make them suffer before he exits the room.
Buzz attempts to return to Andy's house, but Sid finds him and counts a minute as part of a "space game" before lighting Buzz up with his match.
Woody however devises a plan with Joe and his two zombie goons, and the toys scare Sid off in order to rescue Buzz, thus traumatizing him and making Sid fear toys.
However, when Woody and Buzz arrive back at Andy's house, Ham tells all the toys including them that he witnessed from the window of the apartment as Jeremy violently drags Sid into the house before torturing the poor kid sadistically.
Woody goes to save Sid's worthy life from the abuse of Jeremy. Woody enters Sid's room, and then Sid comes in, and he makes sure that Woody isn't still alive and enraged on him by talking to him about his father's abuse, revealing to Woody that the reason why he mistreated his toys and tortured them is because of the torture and physical violence which his father gave him.
Jeremy then invaded Sid's privacy at the room, and he sarcastically reminded Sid that toys don't talk, just before he repeatedly hits Sid with a whip for having a bad day and not gaining enough money from work, thus causing Sid to bleed.
Just before he exits the room, threatening to send Sid off to a boarding school by the following day, Andy's toys, with Buzz leading them, arrive to rescue Woody and save Sid's good life.
While Jeremy is defeated by the toys, Sid thanks Woody, but Woody tells him that Buzz is the one to thank this time.
After Jeremy is defeated and he runs out of the house and he never returns, the toys celebrate and Sid brings them back to Andy, thus making with him friends.
Trivia[]
- Despite his father being the main antagonist and the cause of his violence, Sid has more screentime and influences most of the plot directly.
