Villains Fanon Wiki

Colones Leland Bishop, also known as Silas and later CYLAS, is a major antagonist of the Transformers: Prime fanfic Space, Stars and other Oddities. A former colonel of the U.S. Army, he became the stone-faced leader of M.E.C.H. and developed a lethal obsession with Cybertronian biology and technology. Proclaiming a desire of a new world order, Silas and his supporters systematically usurp Decepticon and Autobot agendas alike in the name of research and experimentation to further Project Chimera, the product of their horrific campaign.

History[]

While Silas' backstory isn't revealed in fanfic, it's implied that he participated in the same events as his canon counterpart.

Silas and MECH creatied a fake energy signal to get the attention of either Autobots and Decepticons. When Bumblebee investigated the trap, MECH immobilized him and stole his T-Cog to install it into their own robot. Noticing Starscream and Moonlight who arrived with the same goal as Bumblebee, Silas ordered his men to immobilize them and kidnapped Moonlight. When their attempts to install T-Cog into their own robot failed from not having an efficient fuel source, they were encountered by Pharma, who informed them about the properties of Energon and proposed a partnership. When Bumblebee, Starscream and Warlock arrived to the base to reclaim the former's T-Cog and rescue Moonlight, Silas ordered his men to stop them. Despite the MECH's efforts, the trio managed to get what they wanted and escape, with enraged Silas ordering his men to head to the rendezvous point and alert their ally. Later, Silas and the MECH managed to find Breakdown's body after he was killed by Airachnid and took it away before it could be returned to the Decepticons.

Using Breakdown's remains and an Energon fuel source, Silas created Nemesis Prime, a mindless robot to control at remote will, which he used to frame Optimus Prime for various attacks on army forces, including his attempt to kill Agent Fowler, in order to turn army agains the Autobots. Eventually the Autobots were able to locate MECH's base where the real Optimus Prime, Starscream and Agent Fowler teamed up to stop both Nemesis and Silas, but not before finding out that his partner was Pharma, the Autobot who was seemingly tricked by Silas. In the ensuing battle, Fowler distracted Silas long enough for Optimus and Starscream to defeat Nemesis, which led Silas' body to getting crushed under Nemesis, leaving MECH's leader in critical condition. As he laid connected to a life-support machine, his soldiers planned to revitalize him with Breakdown's body.

After MECH successfully infused Silas with Breakdown's body in order to save his life, he redubbed himself as Cybernetic Life Augmented by Symbiosis, or "CYLAS" for short and proceeded to betray and kill his own men via Breakdown's shoulder plasma cannon due to believing himself to be in "the exclusive company of titans." He then proceeded to broke into a high security military vault in order to steal Project Damocles, a satellite armed with a solar powered laser. Aligning himself with the Decepticons, he used Project Damocles as a little bargaining chip. Megatron was skeptical at first, but had Soundwave dispatched to a base in Colorado to get the satellite control codes. CYLAS assisted in the operation and when Raf tried to hack in, was sent to Jasper to deal with the boy. CYLAS arrived to the Raf's house and tried to kill him and his friends, only to be stopped by Bulkhead who, with Warlock's help, kept him busy until Raf managed to hack the satellite and send it careening towards the Earth. CYLAS was called back to the Nemesis, where Megatron punished him for failure by sentencing him to be dissected by Knock Out for as long as he wants, much to the latter's delight.

Later, when Moonlight used her Outlier ability to conjure Breakdown spirit and give him a chance to talk with Knock Out, the latter informed Breakdown that Silas got merged with his corpse, much to his anger.

Deciding to keep him around as a guinea pig for any experiments he might want to try, Knock Out tested Synthetic Energon on him. After Knock Out went to make a deal with Starscream to use Moonlight's Outlier ability to resurrect Breakdown, the Rise Strike Team tested Synthetic Energon on him and noted the increased aggression from exposure, which led to Slipstream deciding to combine the unstable formula with Dark Energon in order to give Megatron full control over CYLAS. However, that experiment backfired and instead transformed him into an Energon-hungry Terrorcon who quickly freed himself and attacked Flamewar in order to drain her Energon. Forced to back off, he wanders aboard the Nemesis in search of Energon, where he drained numerous Vehicons of their Energon and spread the Terrorcon plague. Eventually, CYLAS was encountered by resurrected Breakdown, who seized the opportunity to get his revenge on his mutilator and repeatedly hit him with his hammer, before ripping his chassics open, tearing out his human body and crushing it, putting his enemy down.
