Skyblack (also simply known as Sky) is a major antagonist of the webcomic HoodRats! She is the comic's own interpretation of Sky, who used to work for Oscurita before creating a rival group to the Hoodrats known as "Labrats".

Personality

Sky appears as a rather calm and carefree individual, which can be seen not only by the way she talks but also by how her facial expression usually is.

She's also clearly knowledgeable, knowing a lot about Oscurita and the energy sources of the planet.

It's however clear that Sky is a very dangerous individual and that she has no problems harming others (which is shown when she eats a Little alive or when she chokes Stella), although she's usually tolerant of children (if her words are to be taken as the truth).

Sky is also very ambitious and egocentric.

As a teenager Sky seemed to be a much less malevolent individual, caring for her friends and Oscurita (whom she considered her mother).

Biography

Background

Skyblack was artificially created by Oscurita via the use of Skywhite's data to serve as a vessel for the Starchild.

She worked for her "mother" during the latter's re-election alongside Akihiko and Yoruwa to help the demon queen with her research of the Starchild. Unfortunately, as the three looked for Oscurita in her laboratory to give her a birthday present, Sky discovered via some documents that she was considered a failed project by Oscurita and not fit to be the next Starchild. Following this, Sky stopped working for Oscurita, abandoned her two teammates and became friends with Prince.

At some point she also met Boyfriend and Girlfriend, trying to force the former to be in a relationship with her (since, according to the creator, the events of the original VS Sky mod play out in the HoodRats! universe as well).

Founding the Labrats

After having heard about the Hoodrats and having discovered that Kermit obtained Sun Wukong's cape, Sky created (alongside Prince) the group known as "Labrats", with the intent of getting rid of the Hoodrats and gain fame.

Sky then proceeded to lead Prince to an abandoned base of Oscurita containing a technology able to reuse the energy of both organic and non-organic objects for an endless amount of time. The two in all this were however secretly followed by Kermit's little sister, Stella, who accidentally revealed herself after causing a crate to fall. Sky proceeded to chase Stella down and, after reaching her and sending Prince to set up the generator, began a brief fight against the young girl. After figuring out Stella was Kermit's sister, Sky began chocking her, telling her to tell the Hoodrats to meet her and Prince by the Bi-Frost next day by noon, and that if they won't comply, she is going to kill everyone Stella loves by next week, before choking Stella and seemingly causing her to pass out.

After releasing Stella and giving her a map, Sky sent some of Oscurita's robots to New Lantic City while waiting for the Hoodrats at the Bi-Frost.

While discussing with Prince about wanting to expand the Labrats, the two of them were soon reached by Melody and Mystique. After a brief discussion (in which Sky also received a strong punch by Mystique), the four began their fight, with Prince fighting against Melody and Sky fighting against Mystique.

During her fight with Mystique, Prince activated the Bi-Frost, releasing a stream of pure energy known as "the Game Breaker". Mystique proceeded to throw the piece of a building onto Sky to quickly end the fight; the latter, however, freed herself with a new form called "Skyblack Starfall".

Sky: As if she would bother to listen. How about we handle that Hoodrats issue, take 'em out the picture and reap the rewards from Oscurita? As a matter of fact... we'll be... Labrats. Prince: Corniest name I've ever heard. Sky: Your name is Prince. Prince: What is your point? Sky: We make a rival gang, get on their turf, make a name for ourselves, and maybe... outshine the demon queen herself. 'Sides, I hear there's a fresh guardian near Kermit's town. So if we take 'em out, that'll up our reputation. Prince: ... but they have like, 4 people on their team, and we only have like... 2. Sky: (Shrugs.) Lol.	„

“	Sky: Huh, fresh green grass, bright colorful skies and deep valleys. Looks like the teleportin' worked Prince. We're on the surface. Prince: O... kay... when you said you uhh... "had a shortcut" that was not what I thought you'd pull. In fact, how did you even do that? (Sky pulls out a Jool.) ... please don't lore dump again. Sky: This planet is a wonderful bundle of surprises. It spews all sorts of chaotic energy almost daily, these crystals (Jools) are one of the big products of this. Prince: GOD DAMN IT. Sky: Gain enough control over these... time and space will be at your mercy. The ability to travel between the zone barriers with ease. However, they're fragile. After one use, they're useful as a car battery. No one has ever found a way to keep this power sustainable. Except her. Prince: "Her"... oh Oscurita! Yeah my boss is pretty diligent so of course she'd fine away. But I don't know what she has to do with this. (You also know a lot about her... weird). Sky: I swear- Prince. Did it ever cross your mind as to why Oscurita even bothers coming up here to the surface when she "conducts research"? Prince: To defeat the weak-minded simple-thinkin' Hoodrats- Sky: (Slaps Prince.) Don't yell in my ears. Prince: Sorry. Sky: Remember when I said the Jools were "one of" this planet's big products? Prince: Yeah? (Sky points at a group of Littles.) OH MY GODS I LOVE LITTLES! OSCURITA USED TO HAVE ONE NAMED COOKIE! SO COOL, I LOVE LITTLES THEY'RE SO CUTE AND AWESOME! I WANT ONE, CAN WE TAKE HIM HOME? But what does this have to do with Oscurita? Sky: These "Littles" were the other byproducts of this planet's energy. The potential they house is on par, if not more powerful than the Jool. (Grabs a Litte.) Their power is endless. (Eats the Little.) Ahhh, that was refreshing, needed that refuel. • When someone during a QnA asked how evil Skyblack is, ShutUpJoJo answered with "mustache twirlin' levels of dastardly".
• As of now, she's the only character in the entire webcomic to have killed onscreen.
• She, Prince and Kermit canonically don't wear pants.
• Sky's clothes are actually part of her body, and she can morph them into whatever she wants.
• Like the other characters in the webcomic, she has no canon color palette, except for her flat colors and ethnicity.
• If she were to speak, like the other characters in the comic, her voice wouldn't be anything comprehensible but something like Banjo and Kazooie.
• As confirmed by the creator, Sky's attraction towards Boyfriend (unlike her original counterpart) isn't romantic since her real love is her own ego. She wanted Boyfriend because he was famous and this would've boosted her social standing, along other things.
• She's aroace (aromantic and asexual).
• She's 2'9''-3'0'' (0.8382 m-0.9144 m) tall, although she makes herself slightly taller when around Kermit.
• Whenever she gets overjoyed/overstimulated, her face contorts and shifts due to her not being able to manage her emotions.
