Skyler Lucas Jr. is one of two secondary antagonists of IT: Has No Gender (Alongside Ryan).

Serving as one of three secondary antagonists of Six Phone Calls (Alongside Kyleigh and Karen), one of two secondary antagonists of Summer Of 2023 (Alongside Angel), and a posthumous antagonist in 27 years Later. He is a selfish brat who doesn't care about what anyone else wants and he wants to see Caleb fail.

His adult self is portrayed by Ryan Reynolds.

Personality[]

As a child, Skyler is raised to believe that showing any emotion or vulnerability is a sign of weakness, and he must always appear dominant and in control. This toxic mindset leads him to see Caleb as a threat to his reputation and his chance with Lacy. In Skyler's eyes, Caleb represents everything he has been taught to avoid - sensitivity, kindness, and empathy. As such, instead of trying to understand or relate to Caleb, he chooses to publicly humiliate him as a way of asserting his power and dominance over him. It's clear that Skyler's actions are not motivated by love for Lacy but rather by his deep-seated insecurity about his own masculinity and status in society. To reach his goal, he teams up with Angel's ex, Brett McGhar, to ruin the lives of both Caleb and Angel.

As an adult, Skyler Lucas is not only an arrogant husband who cheats on his wife, he is also a master manipulator and deceitful liar. He has a way of deceiving those around him with his charming demeanor and smooth talk. His lies are so convincing that even his closest friends have been fooled by him.

Skyler's manipulative tactics extend beyond just cheating on his wife. He also uses his charm to get ahead in business, often at the expense of others. He has no qualms about stepping on anyone who gets in his way or throwing them under the bus if it means achieving his goals.

In fact, Skyler's lies have caused irreparable damage to many relationships in his life. His wife, once blinded by love, has now seen through his facade and is left heartbroken by the betrayal. Skyler's business partners have also suffered as a result of his deceitful ways.

Trivia[]

  • Skyler is just like his father as he doesn't care for others feelings and gets whatever he wants.
