SMILER is the main antagonist of Albert Mation's 2024 fanmade ARG filled My Singing Monsters island, Roblox Island: Next Imagination.
He is a nostalgia blinded NPC who's main goal is to destroy various MSM fanmade islands to get closer to the My Singing Monsters realm and reset it back to the day it was made, removing any past memories of MSM players of the game.
Appearance[]
Smiler is a spiky black Roblox-like figure with a white face who's mouth is mostly smiling psychotically.
Personality[]
In his early life as a Roblox NPC, he is shown to feel pretty content about his life. In this darker and current form, he is shown to be very sadistic towards both people and monsters. He is also shown to be very petty and nostalgia blinded, as he just does all of this because of his nostalgia for the old era of My Singing Monsters. This makes Smiler no better than his controversial creator in many ways.
Biography[]
Origin[]
In 2007, a year later after Roblox was released, a player created a game named “Happy Interaction” where you can interact the very life-like NPC.
But in March 25 2007, the creator was banned on Roblox after the moderators found out that the creator was selfish and toxic despite his care for the game, causing the NPC’s world to get deleted and the NPC became nothing but a bits of codes, wandering around through endless string wires of the internet server.
6 years later, his code got transferred to My Singing Monsters because of him accidentally touching the app's data, where he still remains as a code and he starts stalking the unaware monsters. All he can do is watch as they make beautiful music in harmony and watch everything come to life. He loved it so much that he used it to cope and forget about his creator's past.
But over the past (2020-2025) few years after MSM was made, newcomers start to play the game, fanmade monsters are made, as well as making unique sounds and designs, attracting more people join the fandom. However, some veterans became bad people, toxicity was starting to rise up, and MSM starts to slowly lose it's charm. The NPC gets terrified and saw the horror of his beloved game fall into shambles not only because it starts to get more controversial, but it also reminded him of his creator's terrible past.
This is the moment where the NPC’s code starts to get corrupted piece by piece, his Roblox model starts to get spikier, and he starts to slowly go insane, reaching his breaking point. He sets off to find victims to torture them and force them to watch as their monsters and islands get deleted. After that, he will the game will go back to the day its released.
But it wasn't enough, so he found an unconscious monster in the void with other scrapped/deleted monsters named “Guestorn”. He casts a terrible curse on him, finds out his creator, and reprograms his memory to send him back to his home, so he can slowly get closer to the MSM dimension to prepare for his arrival and restart everything.
His name originates from his psychotic grin.
October 28, 2024[]
Guestorn starts to become friends with another Bloxster named "Noboofo". After some time, Guestorn gets an invite to Roblox Island. This gets Noboofo to act all hyper. Once the two make it to the island, some Bloxsters greet Guestorn, while others felt skeptical of him, but ignored it. Nonetheless, Guestorn gets happy about his warm welcome.
After a while, while Studibloxx was working on a project, Smiler teleports behind him and teleports away, worrying Studibloxx. Later, Bloxsters watch as Daniel gets impaled by one of Smiler's spikes. Studibloxx asks Guestorn on what's going on, but Guestorn gets flashbacks instead.
In the description of the video, there is a piece of text written in Caesar Cipher, and translating it with +22/-4 shift gives a text that says "Why can't I stop seeing things. Please end my misery."

After that incident happened, Guestorn tries apologizing for what was going on. He tells the viewer he put everyone in danger because of him. He wishes he told the truth earlier, but it would cause even more panic if he did. He tells the viewer he should've left and how this is all his fault.

This video shows an example of an MSM fanmade island getting destroyed. This takes place in Fur Funhouse, an island by Professor Toot. The regular stuff happens, but when Pete T. Paw appears, the island gets shot by a gigantic laser beam, obliterating the Spectrals and it's universe. Smiler laughs in amusement as Noboofo watches it get destroyed.
In the description, it says "I'LL END THIS CATASTROPHE END START A BRAND NEW LIFE FOR THE ENITRE DIMENSION. BUT FIRST, I'LL ELIMINATE ALL OF YOU."

One of Albert's friends, Soffy, tries to send a message by drawing pictures on a paper and adding text to it with bad grammar. Soffy talks about how Albert is a great friend and states the good qualities about him, but lately, he's been very paranoid about someone watching him. This paranoia worsens overtime, and eventually, one day, he loses his mind and he starts crying.
The screen turns black and morse code plays. The morse code is translated to “YOU SEE, GUESTORN DIDN’T JUST DOOM ALL OF YOUR CREATIONS, BUT RATHER DOOM ALL OF YOU”.

On the same day the previous video was created, Albert Mation with a censored face starts talking about how him and his channel is totally fine and tells the viewer to ignore what Soffy said and states that he's just a stupid cat.
At the end of the video, there is a base64 code on the top left corner which upon translating, gives you "it copies anyone’s voices". This would most likely mean that Smiler is using a mute clip of Albert talking and he censored the face to hide the fact that he isn't actually talking.
The Hacking[]
In December 24, 2024, Smiler gains access to Albert's account by entering his password (AlbertDuckGuy) onto his computer. As the computer loads hints for the last 2 bloxsters, the second one failed to load as the file got corrupted for an unknown reason. Later on, anomalies were detected in various fanmade MSM islands. The computer warns Albert about someone trying to access it, so he tries to turn on the protector. Instead of the protector turning on, a message from Smiler plays instead, with him telling Albert the mistake of adding Guestorn to the island, giving him access to the entire universe. Smiler tells Albert there is no turning back. He tries to call out for Noboofo telling him to watch as everything he loves will perish and the inevitable fate of MSM as a whole.
In the Lankrey individual video, it starts off normal like every other Roblox Island: Next Imagination individual video, but Lankrey suddenly gets impaled by a spike. Smiler tells everyone that there's no more hiding away from him, as he is already here.
At the end of the video, there is Caesar Cipher which if put to +19/-7 shift, you get a conversation between Albert's friends. They start worrying about Albert's paranoia, which they suggest looking after him or maybe sending him to the hospital for therapy. Annah tells Albert's friends it isn't only him who's paranoid, but instead, it's everyone else who plays My Singing Monsters.

This video was made to warn people about Smiler. The messenger tells the viewer Smiler's goal to reset MSM back to the day it released, meaning all memories of everyone playing the game and all fanmade stuff related to the game will vanish. Anyone who has even the tiniest association with the game will be affected as well. The messenger states that what Smiler did is to replace a piece of memory of every player and that memory is used anyway. The messenger tells the viewer to not continue the island you are working on, as progress is what fuels Smiler's power.
At the end of the video, Smiler's face and a glitched monochrome image of a creepy looking Furcorn is shown flashing on the screen.
Roblox Island: Next Imagination Act 1[]
At the end of the Roblox Island: Next Imagination song, everyone notices a charging up sound and a growing light. Before they could react, a gigantic laser beam gets shot out, destroying the island. After the credits, the island is in a post-apocalyptic state. The island is destroyed, some bloxsters died, and the bloxsters that survived either got severely injured or are very worried. Noboofo walks around the decaying island and finds Smiler, standing there, smiling menacingly, scaring Noboofo.

This video takes place in a My Singing Monsters: Dawn Of Fire trailer that introduces prismatic monsters. After the prismatic monsters finish singing and more monsters popped out of the prismatic portal, the screen blacks out, showing nothing but a white outline of Party Island. Smiler sends out a message to the "false saviors" of MSM, telling them that they were the problem and the one who caused all of this mess. He tells them they should've known better, but they can't reverse the damage that's permanently done. He tells them to face the consequences of his mistakes.

This video shows a sneak peek of Roblox Island: Next Imagination Act 2, but at the end of the video, a monochrome image of Matt Handler, a producer of My Singing Monsters, appears on screen but gets more distorted over time. Some text flashes on the screen about Matt Handler's disappearance, which would probably be the 120th report of anyone playing MSM going missing. Then the texts warns the viewer to tell anyone to not play the game because it might've caused Matt Handler and the other 119 people's disappearance. There is an investigation going on too.
Roblox Island: Different Imagination[]
Roblox Island: Different Imagination is an alternate timeline unknowingly created by Smiler while he was chasing Noboofo through different islands and different time periods, changing the events in the present.
Roblox Island: Next Imagination Act 2[]
Roblox Island: Next Imagination Act 2 isn't released yet, but judging by the teasers, it would be about Smiler chasing Noboofo.

- Smiler is based off "SMILE" from the Roblox bait and switch horror game, A Nostalgic Hangout Game. They also have pretty similar goals.
- Smiler may be stronger than even the most powerful monsters, as he managed to destroy Crewthereal Colosseum, a fanmade MSM island full of powerful monsters, effortlessly.
