Sonic.EXE is the main antagonist of Rouge.EXE and the overarching antagonist of the My Little Pony creepypasta horror game Rainbow.EXE. He is a virus who came to the My Little Pony universe in order to take over Hasbro and free the ponies from their suffering inside the program. To do so, he finds Rainbow Dash and grants her the opportunity to get revenge on those who made her life a lie and show them the lie of their existence.
Despite his short screen time in Rainbow.EXE, he had influenced the rest of the whole game as he is the one who transformed Rainbow Dash into an EXE and caused her to kill all of her former friends in the first place.
While part of the gameplay is similar to MY5TCrimson's Sally.EXE, Sonic.EXE himself does not appear until Act 9, due to the fact that Sally, Cream and Amy were already dead prior to the events of the game, skipping all the levels until that point.
Once Rouge reaches Act 9, Sonic.EXE would be seen in the background with Eggman, Knuckles, Amy and Cream, staring at the screen similar to Sally.EXE. Sally's corpse can be seen on the ground in a pool of blood, which, upon contact, freezes the game for a few seconds as the corrupted spirit of Sally appears in place of her corpse. After the game failed to respawn Sally due to her death, Sonic.EXE disappears and the walls on the sides flicker, only for the ceiling to slowly fall on her. Suddenly, the ceiling stops falling right when it was about to crush her, instead preventing her from jumping. After a few seconds, Sonic.EXE appears and assaults Sally in the same way he killed Amy Rose, presumably killing her as she is seemingly unable to respawn.
However, it turns out that Sonic.EXE simply knocked her out, as Rouge awakens, realizing that she is still alive (though no longer as her usual self). As she asks what is going on, Sonic.EXE tells her to calm down, as she is now able to see again, but thinking that it is just Sonic, she asks what he has done to her. He informs that he is not the Sonic she know and she will not be Rouge anymore, before telling her that "they" were playing with her. Seeing that Rouge is confused, he tells her to remember the past, which is a clip from "A Revolutionary Tale", the 78th episode of Sonic X, showing Molly's sacrifice. This does not convince Rouge, however, as she thinks that Molly is still alive. Sonic.EXE then explains that her memories are wrong and that "they" were just playing with her, but she doesn't believe it and orders him to let her go, but to no avail. Eventually, wanting her to be free, she transforms Rouge into an EXE as the latter screams, glitching her dialogue into errors.
After Rouge.EXE killed Shadow and noticed the player(User)'s presence, she encounters Sonic.EXE again and finally realizes the truth on the fact that the player keeps respawning her and killing her over and over again, but as she is now free from their manipulation, he tasks her to force the player to despawn and not let them respawn, so her friends can also be free from the lie of their existence. Sonic.EXE then mentions that despite the player's joy and fun to entertain themselves by making characters live and die continuously, he and Rouge.EXE are on the top now and that they are the only solution. Shortly after, Sonic.EXE sends Rouge.EXE, Tails Doll and Sally.EXE to assault the player with a series of screamer images before transporting them to a white area, where they would be crushed just like Sally did earlier, killing them.
As the player attempts to restart the game in order to respawn, Rouge.EXE would notice their presence and open their eyes, staring at them before he manipulates the game to input the "DIE" command, as his expression turns into a frown. As the game restarts anyway, Sonic.EXE sends the player inside HILL Act 1, trapping them in an unescapable level. As the timer goes on, Sonic.EXE and Rouge.EXE would mock and torment the player, wanting them to care more about their time. Suddenly, after spending 38 minutes and 2 seconds in the level, they would make the timer go down rapidly, until it reaches 0. Shortly after the timer finishes, Sonic.EXE and all his minions attack the player as the game glitches.
However, the player was innocent, as he then reveals that the real person responsible behind everything that happened was actually a virus that is none other than Jigsaw, who encrpyted his files, causing a part of himself to be encrypted within Sonic.EXE's soul and even processed the entire computer to restart the game, so he and his friends would continue to be tortured by being respawned and killed over and over again.
Rainbow.EXE[]
Only seen at the end of the game's first level, he encounters Rainbow Dash and tells her that her whole life is a lie and that she is just trapped in a program where everything is controlled by none other than the player themselves. He also offers Rainbow Dash to have revenge on the ponies that made her whole life a nightmare through experiments, cupcakes, tests and games as well as free them from the world they are trapped in.
However, after Rainbow Dash kills Scootaloo, Sonic.exe realizes that she is trying to turn her into an EXE, which ruins the initial plan of freeing others. He then orders her to comply with his plan of freedom if she doesn't want to be killed, but Rainbow Dash snaps and betrays him so she can do the job herself, causing him to disconnect.
Despite not being seen again afterwards, he leaves a huge impact on the rest of the game, as Rainbow Dash, now an EXE demon, successfully managed to free her former friends and slaves from the program and to the player's desktop, where she would take over their system and deny access to the Task Manager.
Appearance[]
His appearance in Rainbow.EXE is a Sonic X version of his original counterpart, he also has bloody hands.
Personality[]
His personality is quite similar to his original counterpart, but instead of playing with his victims, he frees them from the program, claiming that their whole existence is a lie. He is also quite strict, due to the fact he threatens Rainbow Dash to kill her if she doesn't comply to his plan, causing her betrayal in the process.
