YOU REALLY OUGHTA DECIDE ON HELPING ME SOON, CRYSTAL. BECAUSE I TEND TO GET IN PEOPLE'S HEADS WHEN I GET IMPATIENT...
~ Sonic.exe while tormenting Crystal in her dreams.
DON'T KEEP ME WAITING.
~ Sonic.exe to Crystal.

Sonic.exe, also known as X, is the main antagonist of the creepypasta Sonic.exe 2 created by Jack Cranely/JC-the-Hyena.

It used to be the same entity as OG X but after some days after Sonic.exe 2 was uploaded, the story got deleted and later replaced with Round 2. In 2024, after the creepypasta was uploaded on Trollpasta wiki by some Creepypasta Wiki admin, JoeDoughBoi (the current co-owner of Sonic.exe) officially turned it into a narration video from Joe.

Like 2011 X, He is voiced by DylanZeMuffin, who also voices Armadonix and Coochie Mingler X.

Sonic.exe 2[]

In this story, the cursed Sonic.EXE disc fell into the hands of a young Sonic fan named Crystal. After the sudden suicide of her friend Tom Miller, and the disappearance of another, Kyle Scott, Crystal started investigating, with her endeavor only leading to her obtaining the disc from Tom's father, unaware of the danger it posed. Upon opening up the game and going past the title, Crystal was met with a character selection screen, a strange collection of characters was presented as playable. Blaze, Silver, Sally, Mighty, and Amy were all lined up in a row, one only playable once the stages that came before were cleared first. First was Silver, locked in a dark and dingy version of Green Hill simply labeled "TRAPPED". The level was completely empty, lacking any sort of obstacles as music droned in the background.

After some time, the game stopped, showing a cutscene where Silver encountered the titular character, only with bloodied black and red eyes. Before Crystal had time to think, however, "Sonic" proceeded to let Silver pass by before suddenly giving chase, almost as if it was a twisted game for the impostor. Once the false Sonic eventually caught up to Silver, the game played a loud screeching noise before it cut away to the character select screen. Silver was now above where he once stood, his face cracking apart like it was nothing more than a broken mask, leaving what happened to him up to imagination.

Next up was Blaze, this time stuck in a discolored version of Carnival Nights Zone known as "EMPTY". Running through the twisted carnival, Blaze (with Crystal's guidance) slowly trekked through a world built in the false deity's honor before the ruler of it all, "Sonic" himself, appeared behind Blaze before the screen cut to black. As the darkness faded away, Blaze found herself in a room filled with mirrors, with "Sonic" appearing in one of them. Thinking it was a boss battle, Crystal had Blaze destroy the mirror the hedgehog appeared in, but just as one mirror shattered, the entity would just appear in another. Again and again, the same cat and rodent chase repeated until the girl fell to her knees.

In the blink of an eye, "Sonic" had left, but the shards of glass Blaze had inadvertently created started to move. Swarming around the cat, the shards flew around and around before converging, a giant fragmented mouth created by magic and glass formed from the debris. The glass "teeth" flew their way into Blaze, the game cutting away just before Crystal could see the happen in real time, instead only seeing the aftermath; Blaze was horribly cut from all the glass, her wounds so bad that bone and skin tissue could be seen.

Next up is Sally, stuck in a twisted hallway named "MADNESS". The level was simpler than the others, just a simple platformer, yet despite the straightforward nature of the course and an effort to beat the stage, Crystal accidentally misjumped and led Sally falling into the void. Despite the misstep, "Sonic" just let Crystal go, having decided to take things easy that round and not use his usual tricks. Instead, he advised the one behind the screen to take one last break with what little time remaining.

After a lunch break, Crystal found that someone had opened up a chatroom, with the instigator being Sally herself. Confused, Crystal would try to contact the chipmunk, only for her to raise more questions than answers, the only thing of note being that "Sonic" wants to get out of his confinement. Returning to the game revealed a new level, simply labeled "OUT", an empty black void with nothing but a few dead pixels all over the place. After an uncomfortably long amount of time, "Sonic" showed up yet again to force Crystal back to the main menu, this time seeing the corpse of Sally. Her face, while not as bad as the previous two, was unsightly, her eyes sewn shut and her mouth stretched out into a horrid grimace. Yet again, Sally opened up the chatroom, and yet again she provided no actual answers, only a vague threat. Unsure as to what to do, Crystal decided to take a break from the game and sleep things off. The nap was a horrible mistake.

Within the slumber, Crystal dreamed of being strapped to a chair, unable to move as a numbness cut through the dreamer's skull. In the darkness, "Sonic" was drilling something into Crystal's head, a process that would only be revealed once he decided to get up and show the dreamer the fruits of his labor; Crystal's skull was forced open, the brain exposed to the outside world as "Sonic" started pulling at it. Crystal was lobotomized. Terrified, Crystal decided to initiate a chat with Sally, this time demanding answers that will never be given. The only sort of hint that Sally gave was to hack the game somehow. If such a feat is done, "Sonic" will leave the game and leave Crystal alone, unlike what happened to Kyle and Tom. Before Crystal could press for more questions, the chat was closed yet again.

Terrified as to what the false Sonic had done to the duo, Crystal started devising a plan. Fortunately, Crystal's father had connections and allowed the kid to get access to a device to spill the game's contents all over the Internet. Despite following orders, the next day was filled with unease as Crystal's own home slowly started to fill up with a terrifying presence. Demanding to know what was going on, Crystal contacted Sally one last time, only for the girl to drop a bombshell: Nearly everything Sally had said were lies. All of the manipulation was for "Sonic" to treat her with "kindness" once he was finished with his plan. While Sally claimed that "Sonic" would leave the kid alone, it was never specified in what state, and it was up to Sally to clarify her statement once and for all. Crystal was going to join the same fate as Tom and Kyle, reunited for as long as "Sonic" sees fit. And so, thanks to the actions of one careless human, "Sonic", truly named Sonic.exe, was allowed to roam free across the world. No longer does he have to wait for souls to come to him, instead Exe can appear and attack whenever he wants. The world is his oyster, ready for him to crack open. Perhaps in a different world, things ended up differently. Perhaps there is a world out there where none of this tragedy and horror ever played out. But in this world, the game is over.

As far as anyone knows, the world is now doomed, and Sonic.exe has won the game.
