Spelk the Dragon, known by others as Spike, is the main antagonist of the series Equestrian Downfall AU made by User:Iamprogaminges. He is a power-hungry dragon who was went undercover as Twilight Sparkle's assistant.
Personality[]
He is shown to be Sadistic, Cruel, Dishonorable, and Manipulative.
Biography[]
Origins[]
Spelk was born on January 13, 1965 in the cursed lands, a place known for its dark secrets and a place where Spelk found to be the perfect place to act out his mischievious and rebellious behavior. As he grew older, his behavior only worsened and he soon found himself in an incident where he accidentally killed his parents during a heated dispute.
Move to Equestria and Usurpation[]
This forced him to flee and he eventually made his way to Equestria, where he assumed the identity of "Spike". He was easily accepted by Twilight Sparkle and began to serve her faithfully for many years. But soon he began to learn the truth of his purpose in Equestria, and when Twilight was crowned the Princess of Friendship, he then revealed his true identity and usurped her.
Identity[]
With his newfound power, Spelk began to terrorize the citizens of Ponyville, forcing them to do his bidding and putting their lives at risk. He also revealed his true cunning nature as he began to change his appearance and tactics to fit his needs, and eventually overthrew both Luna and Celestia to become the self-proclaimed "Prince of Equestria". His tyrannical rule put thousands of ponies in danger and he soon became known for his cruelty and lies, leading to a rebellion among the citizens of Equestria.
Death[]
Spelk was a powerful wizard who had been studying magic for many years. On June 16, 2016 while attempting to cast a powerful spell, one that he had never attempted before. Unfortunately, the spell went awry, and the result was disastrous - Spelk was killed instantly.

Villainous Actions[]
Murder, Assault and Battery[]
Spelk was known for his tyrannical reign, and his reign of terror was felt across Equestria. He was known to have brutally murdered, physically assaulted, and psychologically and emotionally abused many citizens of Equestria without mercy.
Threats of Violence[]
Spelk bellowed a warning to the Mane Six. He threatened that if Twilight tried to stand in his way, he would not hesitate to take the lives of each and every one of them.
Enforced Suicide[]
Spelk's rule, which was thought to be an absolute truth, caused many to take their own lives to avoid having to live through it. It was a fate that no one should be forced to endure, yet so many did due to the overwhelming sense of dread and hopelessness.
Coercion[]
Spelk would coerce unsuspecting people into doing his bidding or helping him in any way he could in order to increase his chances of succeeding in his endeavors. He would take advantage of people's naivety and lack of knowledge in order to manipulate them into providing him with the assistance he needed.
Torture[]
Spelk has been known to go to extreme lengths to get answers from Ponies that they believe have information. He decided to resort to the use of torture, and it ultimately resulted in the death of Applejack.
Mutilation[]
This was one of his methods of Torture.
Theft[]
Spelk had been planning for weeks to steal the spellbook from the castle, hoping to use its powerful magic to grant himself immense power. He broke into the castle and stole spellbook.
Kidnapping and Hostage-Taking[]
Spelk had abducted the remaining five of the Mane 6, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash, and had warned them that should Twilight Sparkle attempt to interfere, he would not hesitate to end their lives.
Identity theft (kind of)[]
Spelk lived a double life, using the alias Spike to hide his true identity from everypony around him. All in order to give off the illusion.
Arson[]
Spelk had a strange fascination with destruction, and he found joy in demolishing buildings for fun. He would spend his days roaming Ponyville and destroying various.

During his rule, Spike had taken bits from citizens, claiming that he'd use it for the betterment of Equestria but instead, he used it to "upgrade" himself with luxurious items and adornments, the likes of which had never been seen in the kingdom before. He had taken advantage of the people's trust and innocence, and had used it to his own selfish benefit.
