Did you really think I wouldn't see through your little trick? I too have been curious, driven by the desire to explore the boundaries of life and death. My actions... your actions... They're born of the same curiosity, the same desire for control. You know what you're capable of, how easy it is to... erase mistakes. Start over and over, until you get what you want. Don't let a soft spot for that animatronic fool you into thinking you're any different than me. Deep down, you're just as much of a monster.

~ Springtrap's breakdown after being defeated by Frisk and Glamrock Freddy, powering down before he can finish his line.
William Afton, better known as Springtrap, is a major antagonist in the second episode of MORØ's Indie Cross series. Throughout the episode, he spends majority of his time tormenting Frisk and trying to kill them with the other animatronics or by his own hands.
As normal Springtrap, he appears just like how he does in Five Nights at Freddy's 3: He wears a springlock suit of the character Spring Bonnie. The suit is a sickly olive color, and the many holes and tears expose parts of the rusted metal endoskeleton. His mouth has rotted into a permanent wide grin; the teeth being chipped and yellowing. His human-like eyes are a pale gray and he's missing the top half of his right ear, as well as the casing on his feet.
As Nightmare Springtrap, his body and suit changes to black. But the eyeholes and his heart glow a bright purple. He also wears a bright purple bowtie. And in some instances, he can also generate flames around his entire body.
Personality[]
Just like his canonical counterpart, Springtrap is a sadistic, sociopathic, and apathetic being who thrives off of murdering others like many of his child victims. He also is self-aware of the fact that he is evil and takes pleasure in it. He also knows when others share a similar mindset to his when he calls out Frisk for doing the same things he did, albeit even worse than him.
Biography[]
When Frisk is teleported to Fazbear's Fright by Charlotte, they stumble across Springtrap who takes notice of them after rounding a corner. He simply asks if they want to play a game, his intentions unknown, either to lure them away like he does his other victims or just acting out of boredom. He gets annoyed at first by their silence, only to suddenly go flying back once Frisk attacked him. He gets up completely confused and shocked by what happened before retreating into the security office when seeing Frisk appear right next to him. When they eventually get into the office, Springtrap tries to reason with them while offering to help them get whatever it is they're seeking. But his negotiation falls flat as Frisk merely attacks him with an arcade.
A portal then opens just as Frisk is about to finish him off by dropping an arcade machine on him, gaining both of their attention. The former drops the arcade and attempts to leave through said portal while dismissing Springtrap altogether, but it destabilizes due to Game Master absorbing the end-portal in the city, shooting energy out as a result. Upon shooting, a bolt jets past Frisk and towards Afton, the portal's energy feeds into his body and causes him to suffer a vision. He sees various memories from his game of origin, some including the Crying Child's death and even the slaughter. He stands up now as Nightmare Springtrap, now completely fascinated by the new power he has achieved. He taunts Frisk before revealing that he stole their Heart Locket and breaks it right in front of them by stepping on it. He then reminds Frisk of their "game" and uses his newfound power to summon hordes of animatronics from the FNAF franchise before sending them all to chase and hunt Frisk down.
The two don't encounter face-to-face once Frisk manages to escape from his army. After a while however, he manages to successfully murder Frisk by possessing Glamrock Freddy, who Frisk reluctantly allied with, and crushes them inside the animatronic's chest cavity. When Frisk regains consciousness inside a black void, they approach the save point to revive themselves, but Springtrap suddenly appears in the void before destroying Frisk's save point completely. Springtrap then makes a smug, judgmental monologue about their similarities and berates Frisk for not caring about the monster lives they've slain back in their homeworld; including that they can just reset the world they're from and essentially "erase" any bad thing they've done but never receive true karma or comeuppance for their actions. He then mentions how Frisk can backtrack as many times as they want to until they have their way, telling them to not let their temporary alliance with Glamrock Freddy make them forget that at their core, they're just as much of a monster as he is.
Frisk isn't swayed by him at all and uses a compressed save point to revive themselves. Springtrap states that their defiance is fine by him either way and transports himself back to Frisk's location where he fights them himself. His raw power alone allows gives him the upper hand for a good amount of time. However, once the two are transported to the Princess Quest IV world, The Puppet comes to Frisk's aid by giving them a repaired Heart Locket and the Princess' Sword from Princess Quest IV. Springtrap belittles the Puppet for dragging themselves into this, becoming annoyed by their interference and kills them. Frisk on the other hand, obtains both the locket and the sword gifted to them by Puppet and challenges him one final time. Springtrap gives Frisk a harsh warning that they'll only make their death more painful by prolonging the inevitable before goading them into seeing how far they'll get by not accepting their imminent demise as he transforms.
The two engage in an intense battle to the death, but ultimately, Frisk manages to land a direct blow on Springtrap by using the Sword of Light. The former manages to come out on top as Springtrap begins to lose control of his Nightmare form due to it overheating and is eventually reverted back to his initial form. Afterwards, Frisk lands a powerful kick on Springtrap which is followed by Glamrock Freddy who arrives to help Frisk and punches Springtrap, swearing that he won't allow the latter to take control of him. The two then work together and they both manage to take him down as he rages from being overwhelmed. Once he's finally defeated, Springtrap refuses to believe this is the end for him, vowing that he will come back but powers down before he can finish his sentence, presumably dying on the ground.
